“The service was a bit slow (I was done my first pint before the server came to take our orders), even though anything we ordered came out quick. Just really slow to take our orders, and no checks between dropping off food and bringing us the bill. That aside, they have a great selection of taps. I'm a cider drinker, and I liked having 4 to choose from. The food portions were also decent sizes, and tasted pretty good (I had a well-proportioned Shepherd's Pie, and my spouse had a coconut curry that he was quite pleased with). The prices were decent as well. Next time we're in Ottawa, we'd consider eating here again.“

“As a student at the University of Ottawa I would visit the pub often because not only it's the most convenient but, professors also find it the best place to have the informal gatherings after hardcore academic sessions.I hosted a techno night called Make Me Bad Mondays here for about one academic year. It was no success, I must say because people are not really into techno in Ottawa. But anyways I had my practice and here and there there would be really great moments when people appreciated the music.I was also part of the Ontario People's Interest Research Group where we organized Alt 101 week, International Worker's Day and a few other programs mainly focusing on introducing new local artists and bringing community together to chat about activism and so on.The setting is really accommodating for student events. I never got to turn it into a club for my weekly, which was a pity.But anyways, good ol Nostalgica.“

“was in ottawa from out of town found this local tavern and was pleasantly suprised. the owner was awesome, the customers were engaging and the food was amazing. highly recommend this tavern if you find yourself in ottawa and in the area.“

“From the beginning the staff were incredibly kind! They helped me understand everything because I hadn’t been there before and was very friendly! I had the teriyaki chicken poutine and it was very nice! I would’ve liked a bit more teriyaki sauce but that’s genuinely just because it was so tasty! The red wine base gravy was delicious with the dish. Even though I lost at Mario Party I think I definitely will be visiting again in the future! Shy guy will not be invited next time (Normal computer). If you get a drink and a meal on top of the 9$ cover be ready to spend over 30 dollars. It’s delicious food but I’m not huge on drinks so I’d pass on it in the future. Was definitely worth giving it a try!

“I like taking my daughter to the Barley Mow (stittsville is our go to but almonte is a favorite drive)... We went tonight. Dinner for 2 plus 2 non alcoholic drinks (I was driving us) came to $44 taxes in. We go there all the time so I gave a nice tip. The owner/manager and staff are amazing. And the new menu *(after covid limited menu) is really fantastic. We are trying something new every time. Tonight I tried chicken tacos and she had a huge bowl of poutine. Both were amazing. Deffo recommended! (Unfortunately I couldn't get a pic of the dishes, my phone was near dead and I needed it to pay as I forgot my purse but they then charged my phone for me!!)“

“Just had an early dinner with an old friend and he suggested the Glebe Central Pub, which I had never been to before. The atmosphere was perfect for a small.pub, with a super friendly and sassy (in a good way) bartender. Unordered the taco trie and I have to say, that I was surprised by ow good they were!
