“We had dinner there tonight. hubby ordered the liver and onions and gravy. Best he's ever had all was delicious I ordered the chicken wrap with there homemade chicken soup. DELICIOUS! Will be a regular customer after finding this gem. Great friendly staff too. very pleasant !“

“We visited Rail Yard Cafe for my dad’s birthday dinner as a large group and overall had a really enjoyable experience!

The food was delicious! We started with the nachos, which were very tasty, although they could definitely use more toppings throughout. By the time we reached the bottom, we were left with mostly plain chips. We also tried the kettle chips with caramelized onion dip, which were fantastic!

For our mains, we ordered a variety of dishes, with the standouts being the seafood pot pie and the Blue Caboose pizza. We finished with the pretzel cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious and easily one of the highlights of the evening!

One disappointment was the lack of a complimentary birthday dessert. Considering we were celebrating a birthday with a large party and had a fairly substantial bill including food and drinks, it would have been a nice gesture to offer a small dessert for the birthday celebrant. We ended up purchasing one ourselves, and the staff kindly added a candle. Many restaurants offer a complimentary birthday treat, and I think this would be a great addition to Rail Yard Cafe. It’s a small gesture that can make a celebration feel extra special and encourage guests to return for future occasions.

Overall, we really enjoyed the food and would happily return. Just a couple of small improvements that could make an already great experience even better!“

“My aunt‘s favourite restaurant before she passed was Red Lobster. Our family decided to get together in her memory at one of our homes, and we asked Amir, manager of Peterborough Red Lobster if it was possible to have it catered. He enthusiastically jumped in, made suggestions. He actually organized the entire menu. 30 people gathered. The food arrived and it was magnificent. Such a variety. I am pretty sure it was almost everything from their menu and more!!! There was something for every guest to enjoy and they did. If anyone is thinking of hosting such an event, I would strongly recommend recommending contacting Amir and he had his kitchen crew will impress. Thank you, Amir and your staff.“

“Had breakfast for the first time today (May 17th) very good value and and good portions, added fruit a nice touch. Friendly staff and good service. My only concerns were the overdone has browns and really cold plates. Breakfast should be served on (at least) warm plates, especially your are having eggs. Otherwise, very good.“

“Stopped by for a late lunch last Saturday and ended up staying almost two hours because the patio by the gazebo was just too nice to leave. Had the haddock and chips, which was fresh and perfectly fried, and my partner's lamb burger disappeared in about ten minutes flat. Our server was quick to refill drinks and didn't rush us even when we lingered over dessert watching the river go by. It's become our go to spot for birthdays and random Tuesdays alike, and after years of visits it still hasn't let us down once.“

“Swiss chalet towerhill did a great job considering how insanely busy it was thanksgiving Monday. The parking lot was full of chalet customers all the way up to the Sobeys! Yes there was a wait for takeout but the food quality was good. Great to see a Canadian restaurant chain so busy!“

She has the most wonderful customer service and she knows the menu so well!! If your not sure what you want she got you and I’m definitely going back just to see her“

“This is the nicest Harvey's location I've ever been to, the food was delicious and the staff were very good and quick. Other than one older heavy set female that was maybe a manager? She had glasses on and she was yelling and being rude to the employees that were working hard. It's located right on the water and has a lot of picnic tables outside.“
