“Hidden gem and a must visit! The chef is from Japan. They serve authentic Japanese cuisine here. The food is very delicious and properly done. Don't judge the interior as it is a tab bit outdated, BUT it's the food that's a home run/slam dunk. It's worth the visit for a taste of real Japanese flavours! AYCE places won't give you the authentic flavours that this place delivers day in and day out.“

“A very nice AYCE sushi place with a wide selection of things on the menu. The tempura batter here is so good, and the salmon sashimi is to die for (seriously some of the freshest, buttery and best I’ve ever had). My favourite things to get from here are: tempura (shrimp, yam, broccoli and mushroom), gyoza, siu mai, short ribs, egg sushi, avocado sushi, salmon sashimi (served on ice), and salmon avocado roll & hand roll. Service is very fast, and the atmosphere is dark and calming.“

“The man that took my order is super nice and always so welcoming. The food always tasts good everytime I go there but the last time I went I was blown away by the taste of the chicken upon soup I got. It was so tasty and was a good portion. Will be going back again for sure. Thank you kindly.“

“I was wandering around the food court at the mall in Pickering, looking for something to eat. Edo Japan caught my attention so I tried their Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box and it was really good, better than I expected! It was freshly cooked to order and had really nice flavours with generous portions. The bento box meal also included California rolls, gyoza, and a drink. Great deal, good food! I'll be back!“

“Always love the food at Makimono and this location is exceptionally good. We don’t usually do the all you can eat. We enjoy ordering 5 or six things off the menu and sharing. Every dish was exceptional, played perfectly and the temp was just right. Did I mention delisious. Probably the best General Tso’s Chicken I have had ever! Staff are super friendly and attentive to service.“
