“Called in for a takeout order, been wanting to try this place out as my other usual place had closed down. Gentlemen on the phone was very polite and provided pricing and answers to my questions. 15 mins for pick up and was ready beforehand which was nice. Atmosphere is fitting for a fish and chio place not sure what others are expecting. Ordered the halibut meal for 2 + order of scallops. The meal came with an order of chips decent sized with 4 packets of tartar sauce. The halibut was a good size with not a lot of batter it was the same size of the fish. I'll definitely be back when the craving strikes again.“

“Hidden gem for some AMAZING fish and chips run by a mom and pop duo at Peanut Plaza for ages. It’s our go to place when we are craving some really good old fashioned fish and chips :)

We got the daily special fish and chips combo. It’s $11 with tax (see picture). A steal to find and definitely worth it since it will put you into a good food coma afterwards.

The daily special fish and chips combo comes with a good sized haddock fish, lots of crispy chips, choice of coleslaw or gravy, and a pop. The haddock is awesome. It’s nicely battered to make it crispy on the outside while maintaining that nice flaky fish goodness on the inside. Also, the gravy is a must. It goes so good with the crispy chips.

Heads up, limited seating. It’s more of a take out fish and chips shop.“

“Overall really nice Fish n Chips spot. Food is good and the servers are always so nice. One time I left my glasses and phone behind and the server went out to chase me in the cold weather to let me know I forgot them.

The atmosphere inside is a bit dead tho, inside the resturant the lights were a bit gloomy and they had no music playing. In the summer I eat outside in their patio just so it feels more alive and bright.

My husband also found 2 small bugs (ants maybe?) in their vinegar bottle which was a bit gross but we just didnt use it.. Overall good resturant, not a bad place at all.

Update: Went back to eat their Wednesday Cod special and ate inside the resturant since it was cold outside. It had music and I think the lights were brighter compared to last time!“

“I had food delivered and have eaten here before but todays breakfast was different… asked for bacon to be cooked almost to burnt and it was cooked to perfection … also the grilled potatoes are to die for … only gripe I have with this restaurant is why isn’t the toast toasted lol … outside of that no complaints“

“Very nice place, good food, very friendly service. I orderd the seafood platter. All tasted great except the fries. They need to cooked at better temperature. They were a bit soggy. I liked the fish (haddok) and the shrimps and scallops were very nice as well. The onion rings were very thin I couldnt taste the onion. Very nice staff, very accommodating.“

“The last time we ate there was at least a year ago. We decided to go back for lunch yesterday. We met with the same owner (probably husband and wife). They are just as friendly as before. The foods are bar-none! We had a great time doing lunch there! The restaurant is spacious and clean. It is absolutely the Number 1 place for fish and chips!“

“Had breakfast which was ok. But the girl serving us was incredible, she did cash, server, cleaned up and checked up on us...and was polite....she deserves a raise ! Only downside is the dinning area looks quite drab, it needs some colour and change the white industrial lights to soft yellow home style lighting.“
