Paired with some of the best-tasting pancakes you'll ever encounter, it’s easily a top-tier breakfast experience.

A massive shout-out to the middle-aged blue-collar crew holding down a booth nearby, especially the fast-talking guy with that classic gravelly, smoke-weathered voice. “This is an addendum to my last review. We are here again less than 2 weeks from our last time. Again we had to order Tom's special breakfast. It's so good at a very reasonable price. First starting with the generous slice of orange plus another kind of fruit. Crispy bacon cooked to perfection. Home fried potatoes that are crispy on the outside and soft almost empty inside. Eggs cooked perfectly and toast fresh and delicious. What a bargain!

We had the Tom's special breakfast. It was fantastic. The potatoes were the best we've ever had. Fresh and crispy. It's very clean in here. We ordered at the counter but they delivered it to the table. They're fat and friendly here. All the food that I saw made my mouth water. The phone beside me had a BLT with a fried egg. I noticed that he couldn't finish it because it was so big and took the other half away with him. This is a great place for breakfast and lunch. We will definitely be returning.“

The soda bread was probably the highlight - nice crust and slightly crumbly texture. Everything else was pretty simple and unremarkable, but good. Mostly I just loved the old-school diner atmosphere. “My breakfast was good but the server brought me white bread (instead of the rye I ordered). Between that and a server (lady with curly black hair) who couldn’t crack a smile or make you feel welcome, I sadly have to deduct 1 star 🌟“

“Just wanted to take some time to recognize a young lady who served me this past Sunday. Anna greeted me with a generous smile and a willingness to help. She was attentive and very friendly which I really enjoy. I know servers can get quite busy but taking the time to have some small conversations with their customers go a very long way. You never know what someone is going through and how much that conversation can make a difference. I really enjoyed the food that was made there. Most places overcook the bene's but mine was done perfectly! I also enjoyed that Wimpeys maintained that retro quality I always enjoyed in the scarborough location but made some modern updates ( really love the light up signs). “Lee Brothers BBQ on Highway 7 in Richmond Hill is a decent spot if you're in the mood for Sichuan food. It's tucked away on the second floor, so it's easy to miss, but it's worth checking out if you're in the area.

We tried the spicy beef, and it was pretty good. The meat was tender enough, and it had a good amount of that classic Sichuan numbing heat. The chili oil had a nice fragrance to it, giving the dish a solid, savory flavor without blowing your head off with spice. It's a reliable choice if you want something with a bit of a kick.

The special flavor fried eggplant was actually the surprise of the meal. They managed to get a nice crispy batter on the outside while keeping the inside soft. The sauce had a good savory-sweet balance that wasn't too heavy or cloying. It went really well with some plain white rice.
