“We had a great breakfast at George Street Diner while visiting Toronto for the weekend. The patio was perfect for enjoying a cool summer morning. Our food was delicious, but the service was excellent. I had a particular craving and Nicole went above and beyond and did some research for us while we ate to recommend a restaurant in another neighborhood for later in the day.. thank you, Nicole! (The butter chicken poutine spot that she recommended was also delicious).“

“We came here for breakfast twice now with a group of three, and both times it was an amazing experience. We ordered different things each visit, and everything was delicious. The service is fantastic—the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Plus, the interior is really cozy and inviting. Highly recommended!“

“I came by, the food made me mildly flinch but still ate it because it was served with such professionalism. My sausage was not vegetarian =(. Only thing I found amusing was the delightful little blonde female who served my drinks like a little ball of sunshine. =). I don't know her name but she works with a lot of passion. Thanks for listening, any more feedback from me I am not ready to talk.👍
PS. making vegetarian sausages will broaden your customer demographic and shoot sales through the roof.“

“The food is is good, it is diner comfort food. I have tried almost all the items on the breakfast menu. My favourite is the Flaskback Combo. It’s your typical eggs, bacon, sausage, peameal bacon, and home fries with a side of two pancakes.
The restaurant itself is small and looks worn out but the service is great! That is why I come back to this location.“

“The BBQ meat skewers here are very mediocre. Wouldn’t get again. Ironic that BBQ is in the store name but their BBQ is just so mid.
BUT now that’s out of the way, their dishes are amazing. If you like spicy food, this is it. You almost can’t go wrong ordering the spicy dishes. I like the beef aorta dish in particular, as well as this cold dish with sour and spicy jelly noodles. Their beef stomach cold dish is also very good. And of course their legendary fried eggplant—sweet, sour, crispy, absolutely addictive. The flavours and textures of these dishes are just *chef’s kiss*. After a spicy meal, wash it down with brown sugar jelly—yum!
Service is pretty quick, but this place can be super busy so you’ll need to wait. Worth the wait though.“
