“This diner has become one of my favourite places to eat and chillax. The owners - a sweet married couple - are very hospitable, the food is great, and their daughter is funny and super friendly. I'll definite be taking along company next time to share the experience! :D“

“I come here after performing at an overnight R&B Speakeasy. Open 24/7. The food is consistent and good. From souvlaki, burgers, and amazing breakfasts. Service is friendly and great. Love the Station club sandwich. Most when filled and busy. Peaceful when your there at 3AM in the morning with a tumbling stomach. Getting hungry just talking about it.“

“I'm visiting Toronto and I've been coming for some days straight in a row, the food is nice, the plates are BIG and it's really cheap, they always greet us with a smile and that counts, don't miss this place if you are on a trip“

“Truly unbelievable prices for fresh, quality food. The minced ham sandwich, at less than $2 (everything priced tax-in), is freshly made and delicious, and literally half the price of a reheated rubbish sandwich from the gas bar. Two fresh fried egg sandwiches and tea for a fiver... Excellent, large portions of hot sandwiches or fish and chips for $7.50, it's a gem! Do not be put off by the impossibly good pricing - the quality is better than most other restos.
As the matron runs the establishment on her own, expect a bit of a wait if there are other tables.“

“I love george street diner: interior, service & atmosphere. My only complaint is the riding cost of menu items has made it much more difficult visit.
Seems that a reasonably priced diner does not exist in Toronto these days“

“Traditional great value super simple eatery. Very authentic place. Last refurbished in the 70's so got a retro charm.
Massive portions so beware. Service was great and food was decent enough. This is not a gastronomic experience just good solid food.“

“Just wanted to take some time to recognize a young lady who served me this past Sunday. Anna greeted me with a generous smile and a willingness to help. She was attentive and very friendly which I really enjoy. I know servers can get quite busy but taking the time to have some small conversations with their customers go a very long way. You never know what someone is going through and how much that conversation can make a difference. I really enjoyed the food that was made there. Most places overcook the bene's but mine was done perfectly! I also enjoyed that Wimpeys maintained that retro quality I always enjoyed in the scarborough location but made some modern updates ( really love the light up signs). Will definitely be back and asking for Anna and those Benes again!“

“The food is is good, it is diner comfort food. I have tried almost all the items on the breakfast menu. My favourite is the Flaskback Combo. It’s your typical eggs, bacon, sausage, peameal bacon, and home fries with a side of two pancakes.
The restaurant itself is small and looks worn out but the service is great! That is why I come back to this location.“

“The chicken (pic2) is sweet instead of savoury (some people prefer savoury over sweet, so if you don’t like sweet flavoured kung pao chicken then this is not the one for you…). The pepper stir fry aorta was too salty, but I’m sure it will taste much better with white rice. Skewers were not as good as before, too much seasoning and I could barely taste the meat. It was just powdery and salty. Overall, it was okay!“

“Delicious, delicious chicken biryani. Sam Aunty knows how to cook, and Muzammel Bhai is easy and professional to deal with. We'll definitely be ordering from them again and again.“
