“This is an addendum to my last review. We are here again less than 2 weeks from our last time. Again we had to order Tom's special breakfast. It's so good at a very reasonable price. First starting with the generous slice of orange plus another kind of fruit. Crispy bacon cooked to perfection. Home fried potatoes that are crispy on the outside and soft almost empty inside. Eggs cooked perfectly and toast fresh and delicious. What a bargain!

We had the Tom's special breakfast. It was fantastic. The potatoes were the best we've ever had. Fresh and crispy. It's very clean in here. We ordered at the counter but they delivered it to the table. They're fat and friendly here. All the food that I saw made my mouth water. The phone beside me had a BLT with a fried egg. I noticed that he couldn't finish it because it was so big and took the other half away with him. This is a great place for breakfast and lunch. We will definitely be returning.“

“Such a precious little shop! Acting like a time capsule, it reminded me a lot of my childhood and my hometown... a world away. We were fortunate that there were no customers around and Eda was able to pump out 3 dishes in 15 minutes, allowing us to keep to our schedule. A pleasant surprise to note that she was also Chinese, though we shared no common dialects. This led me into a little dive and I discovered that the Chan family purchased this shop from Gale in the 50's and has been running it continuous ever since. Definitely go pay them a visit if you are in Toronto and support her business, the prices are beyond reasonable and not seen anywhere else in Canada.“
“the food at susie’s is incredible!! the breakfast sandwich is so flavourful and the bread was fluffy. the pancakes were really good as well, i liked how the edges were crispy.

“Such a cute little diner!
Decided to pass by for a quick breakfast! The order was taken fast and food came out at a good time!
The corned beef eggs benny was really good and the eggs were poached medium, the way I like them. I also got the hollandaise on the side, since I don’t like too much sauce on the eggs.
Although, I wish they added more fruit or some greens to the plate.
Otherwise, had a really nice time here and would definitely return.“

“I love george street diner: interior, service & atmosphere. My only complaint is the riding cost of menu items has made it much more difficult visit.
Seems that a reasonably priced diner does not exist in Toronto these days“

“Great hidden gem! The place is authentically vintage in a way I find extremely charming, the service is generally quite good, and the food is both tasty and very reasonably priced for downtown Toronto. This diner has clearly been here for a long time and I hope it stays here even longer.“

“The Lakeview is a classic Toronto diner, that takes pride in its near century old heritage. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and super helpful.
I went in to get breakfast, and was pleasantly surprised at their breakfast options. It made for a liesurely meal, probably the best part of my day.“
