“The food was much better than expected and the presentation of the sashimi was fantastic. Quite a few options for food whether you're feeling sushi or other options. It's nice that there's an AYCE option in this area. They've added a lot of great options!“
“I have to say.. it was my first time going there and I was happy to hear that even though I didn't have a reservation, they had space for my wife and I. It was busy that day, and people were lined up to eat.We ordered the Pad Thai and the Green Curry Pork Jowel and food appetizers we had the crispy tofu rolls. The food that came to our table was well cooked and the presentation of the food was very good. Although the timing of when things arrived was a bit weird. My main dish showed up almost 20 min earlier than my wife's dish. They first brought a dish that wasn't what she ordered, and I could see the scramble. I feel as if the staff did their best in the situation personally.. even though it took the Pad Thai is really good!! The Green Curry pork jowel wes tastey, but I felt that they could have been a bit more generous with the curry considering the price. I feel like the Vaule wasn't there for my money on that dish. However, sitting and looking at other tables, I found many other dishes that I do want to try, so I will be giving them another attempt this weekend because the food still was Very Delicious.“
“1. Food - good! Came out hot. Green curry chicken, cashew chicken, beef pad see ew were all tasty. We asked for curry dish to be very spicy and I think that was a mistake as it took away from the flavor. One criticism was that the curry was too runny. Maybe we could have asked for it to be made thicker. We prefer that. But food was good. 2. Service - we reserved our table for dinner and the server sat us at the wrong table so she apologetically asked us to move. When we asked for water we had to ask more than once. It was busy at the time but with the spicy food it would have been nice to get it fast. We ordered three dishes. Two came very quickly. We finished them and the third hadn't arrived yet. We had to ask a server for its whereabouts and then he brought it. It was very hot so maybe it just took longer to prepare but I actually think they forgot about it. The service was a 3/5 but the food was good so it balances out. 3. Ambiance - nice interior. Wood panelling. Booths. Very cozy.“
“Always a pleasure eating at Jatujak which, over the years, has become one of our top-3 Thai Street Food dine-in choices in Toronto's east end.The friendly staff, solid service and honest pricing add to the overall experience.A great menu selection - all of it worthy of your consideration.“
“Love it here! The food, service and vibe are all excellent. My favourite dishes are pad thai and pad ma kher (eggplant and rice). I’ve never had pad ma kher before, and I absolutely fell in love. And I don’t even like egg plants. Highly recommend ?“
“Jantana has to be one of the best servers ever.Jantana knew all about every dish, how it is prepped, what the ingredients are and what Chef does that makes it ‘next level’. It certainly is next level food.Good wine selection to pair with Thai food. We had a Verdejo (Rueda).Highly recommend.“
“The best Thai restaurant that I've ever been to. The food is delicious and presented well. Our waiter was super friendly and checked in on us regularly. The place has a modern decor, and the lights in the middle can even become a show. Just make sure you come early or make reservations because it fills up quick.“
“I keep coming back to this place. They never fail to impress me, my friends and family. My experience of food is based on how it looks, how it smells and how it tastes. Secondly I look forward to a warm hospitality from the server, and lastly, it’s ambiance and location. I say, they exceeded my expectation on all level. It’s just perfect for me.“
“I was greeted by friendly staff members when I arrived then I ordered the curry crab with the meal for 3 combo. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and fresh the seafood was plus the portions were big! The curry crab flavour was spectacular and the tom yum soup base also was delicious. Customer service was excellent- everytime I asked them for something like napkins or when I dropped my utensils and needed another one they were on top of it. I can’t wait to go back again!“
“Absolutely loved the Phat Kaphrao! Bursting with flavorful Thai spices, the basil leaves perfectly complemented the savory meat. The dish had a light kick of heat without being too spicy (I requested medium spice). Quick service and an authentic taste that took me back to the streets of Thailand. An easy 5 star for me! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian and vegan options if you request it.“
“First time trying this place. It's located inside the mall. Simple and nice decor. We ordered the following:1. shiitake mushroom with orange shreds (definitely recommend!)2. braised tofu with wild mushroom (very good!)3. Thai fried rice4. marinated assorted platterIt is better to make reservations. Would definitely return.“
“Amazing service. Ordered on line and when I arrived they greeted me with a smile , double checked the order was right and off I went. Fast and friendly. So rare these days! Ordered the pad Thai and loved love loved it! Will definitely eat here “
“The food is just amazing here. We have been to this place two times already and want to go a few more. Curry pad Thai has some unique twists. Curry chicken with rice is like none other! So many different unique options that I have not seen in other restaurants. Service is extremely fast! The food is ready in <5 mins. This blows my mind. Great service from the waitress as well.“
“Exceptional service from Larry! I had a small complaint that I filled out on a survey I got with my text receipt. Within 5 minutes while I was still eating my food, I found Larry approach me with a free slice of cake, an apology, and an explanation regarding my comment from earlier. His approach was super quick and went above and beyond to make me a happy customer.“
“Some of the best Pho in the city! So happy the pandemic didn’t impact their recipe. Perfect dark brown, clear and fragrant broth containing tender rare beef, noodles and I add veggies. This was what I’d been craving during lockdown. As usual Viet Thai Kitchen didn’t disappoint! 10/10 recommended!“
“Very nice place !! We could choose cold or hot water with lemon, which can be a plus in winter !! We were seated in a kind of cubicle, where you keep your privacy even in the middle of the room! And can also charge your phone in peace! The veg platter was very tasty and diverse! Big portions for noodles too! Great ratio meat/noodles/vegetables that tasted so fresh!! Had to take the rest home, and the staff would even pack it for us !! Overall very great atmosphere, decoration, service, and amazing choice of foods with affordable prices!! Well recommend !!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian platter that combines mango salad, fried tofu, samosas, fresh rolls and spring rolls“
“First time at this location and was greeted by the owner with a smile. Excellent food and good size portions. Even ordered food to go. Great customer service and very clean.I will definitely recommend this location.Thank you for your hospitality.“
“Everything we ordered was so good, except the today special~see bass. It's kind of over cooked, But the flavor was still good! It's a little pricey. I would say nothing bad expect the parking problem.Parking: Don't try to park at the residency area. We got tickets tonight even it was Sunday night. I hope they could have reminded the customers.“
“We ordered Qinthai on New Year's Eve for the first time and the food was delicious! We ordered early enough to avoid the holiday rush. The owner was very sweet! The dish that stood out the most was the salt and pepper squid.... 10/10!!!“
“Located inside King Square shopping center, north of woodbine and 16th ave. This is by far the best food shop inside King Square. I was kinda blown away tbh. The food is very authentic. My friends and I ordered up PB1C (the party picnic box combo) to share. The box included sauteed shrimps, calamari, fishballs, fried chicken cartilage, grilled chicken, shrimp chips, mango salad and 3 sauces. On the side it came with mango sticky rice and 2 drinks. We chose thai milk tea (less sweet) and thai lime tea (less sweet as well). The food was SO TASTY. Seasoning was on point and the homemade sauces were FIRE. My fave was the peanut sauce. The thai lime tea was super unique imo. You don't really find that at many thai restos even the authentic ones downtown. I also loved the fact that you can adjust the sweetness level on the tea as well which is a welcome surprise. Normally, restos just give you a default level of sweetness.“
“My favourite Thai restaurant in Toronto, food is always fresh and flavourful! Every menu item is delicious (yes I have tried them all) but I especially recommended the Bolan Pad Thai and Panang Curry Beef.Great cozy place for a date or dinner with family.“
“Wonderful little Thai place in the Beaches. We ordered the wrapped shrimp, Khao Soi, and panang curry. I also had a Thai iced tea which was so yummy. The Khao Soi was full of rich, coconut flavour. The noodles were so soft. Curry was really good too with an ample amount of chicken! We will definitely be back/order takeout. The service was a bit slow but there was only one server and he was doing his best on a busy Monday night.“
“Best to get a reservation at this lovely restaurant during the dinner rush, and rightly so! The inside is very well decorated with fun elements like festival flags, a taxi display, and graffitied walls.I highly recommend the thai iced tea and the mango sticky rice. The northern thailand khao soi is also very authentic and flavourful. I'm excited to try some of their noodle curry options next!If you love spicy food, everything has great depth of flavour beyond the spice. Some dishes can also provide a milder spice level. But if you need an extra kick, you can ask for their delicious homemade chilli oil on the side. The service is wonderful and they also have a cash discount.Dietary restrictions: Items are noted if contains peanuts. Staff are very careful with any peanut allergies.“
“I almost didn't find the place, but it's on the second floor. You need to pay attention for a door that has the "Pai" sign above it.The food was excellent! It exceeded my expectations and I didn't regret any of my choices. Although a little pricey, it's definitely worth it!The skewers were nicely seasoned but it was also accompanied by a sauce that tastes like red curry. I ordered the pad see ew with shrimp and chicken and it was better than any there pad see ew I've had at other establishments! I can't wait to go back and try other options. The service was nice, although we had to get their attention sometimes, they came immediately. The ambience of this place is nice and friendly. The tables are a little close but that would be my only issue with this spot.Vegetarian options: They have several options for vegetariansParking: You may have go around multiple times to find street parking“
“The food here is so good. I would specifically like to recommend try chicken lollipops which is crispy with amazing savor and momos which actually is one of the best I've ever had. The noodles are also right up there. Would definitely come back again.“
“Food was great! It's yummy and I like the fact that we can choose how spicy each dish is.The service can be improved. We made a reservation and they sent a reservation cancelled text after I arrived. They gave the two years old kid a regular cutlery set. They kept checking on our table and interrupted our talk.“
“This place is like a 3.5/5 stars.Located in the plaza where Day & Night Angus Steakhouse used to be, the resto is moderately sized. The plaza it sits in has quite a lot of parking so that shouldn't be an issue. My gf and I arrived on a thurs night w/ no reservation at around 7:10pm and were seated within 10 min on the patio (which is massive btw).We ordered only 2 items as we expected huge portions (having eaten at BKK Thai a month ago).Beef pad thai: Good flavour, nice tang. Not in the same league as the pad thai at Chiang Rai. Some of the noodles were slightly overcooked imo. But the authenticity was there.Chicken khao soi: The 'mild' spice lvl was actually tolerable for my gf for once LOL. The chicken was moist and cooked so well. The broth was layered out the wazoo.I was expecting quality commensurate w/ Pai downtown. After all, the owners of Pai were the ones who opened this place! I've gotta say, it doesn't quite meet the same bar that Pai has set.Maybe it's the inflated pricing and the smaller than normal portions? This place is good in terms of authenticity but quite honestly, it doesn't stack up to BKK Thai, Isaan Der, Chiang Rai or dare I say, even JATUJAK in terms of value. I will say the khao soi broth did have the same flavour as the one at Pai though, so that's a huge plus. And they also had some really interesting cocktails that looked tempting.“
“I really loved the sip sip yogurt in this placeFood : the drink was refreshing and delicious with small pieces of the fruit you choose very tasty. There was an offer, we got 2 for almost the price of oneService : the service was excellent and quick nothing wrong about itAtmosphere: a very nice place with a view on the street if you want to eat insideHighly recommended for drink lovers“
“We ordered the Penang curry chicken with roti. It was delicious so we later added a coconut rice to go with the remaining curry and chicken. We also ordered the tom saap hotpot with beef tendon, which was very flavourful and filled us up. I enjoyed the mocktail which had a bit of spice (just right) and we finished our dinner with the classic mango sticky rice. The mango pieces were a bit small (maybe because it's not in season?) so we would probably come back and order the roti ice cream for dessert instead.Service was really good. Staff were always around filling our waters and they were friendly and responsive. We didn't have to wait long to get seated, order, receive our food. We sat and talked while enjoying our food and didn't get rushed to leave even when it got busy.Atmosphere was nice - decor was nice and clean. It was quite loud in the restaurant though so if you're looking for a quieter place, this might not be right, but great for if you like a livelier location.“
“As always, the flavours in the food here are just incredible. Was recommended the glass noodle to compliment the famous golden beef and it did not disappoint. If a place is only open for four hours a day and still thriving, you know their food is good. Just wish they were open for dine in again, we ended up eating on picnic tables outside at the school and got eaten alive by mosquitos.“
“This restaurant is located just a block away from my neighborhood, and it serves authentic Thai cuisine. According to the staff, the chef is from a small province near Bangkok, Thailand. I have visited this place many times, and I can't remember how many, but I enjoy every meal I have here.“
“Dropped in to get some lunch when I was working in the area. The Pad Thai was the best! I’ve been to Thailand and it was every bit as good as the best restaurants there. The portion was generous, the chicken and tofu pieces were numerous and done perfectly! The spring roll was fresh, crispy and not at all greasy.I just wish you were a closer drive for me, but 2.5 hours is too far. :(“
“Canadian Thai has been a go-to place for us since my family discovered it a couple of years ago at its Woodbine/Steeles Ave. E. location. We enjoy the food here and the service is good too. Manager Helen remembers her guests! We always start with the Mango Salad which is just the right mix of sweet and tangy with a little spicy kick. On our most recent visit we tried the Thai Coconut Soup, which was also quite flavourful. On different visits we've tried the Traditional and Street Style Pad Thais as well as the Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle). Again, you can't go wrong with any one of these. Any of the Authentic Curry dishes are also good and not overly spicy. Try the Coconut Rice to go along with your meals. It's a good, mildly-sweet balance to the savoury sauced dishes. We almost always have the Jasmine Tea, which washes everything down nicely! The nice thing is we always get a table and making reservations for bigger parties is very easy. Lots of free parking as well.“
“I’ve been coming here for over 6 years. My partner took me here on one of our first dates. It’s been a hit for us ever since. The quality of service is amazing! The hospitality from the owners is an added bonus to the overall experience this restaurant offers. This establishment is forever grateful for any and all customers and it truly shows. My entire family loves coming here not only because of how loved we feel but also because we can bring friends for their first time and they feel the same way.The point of this review is to thank them for giving us an amazing place to come back to again and again! Xo“
“Food is delicious. The Pho and the Bun are great. Thai food selection is also good - curry and chicken wings are very tasty. Great service from friendly staff, food comes fast and hot. Also very reasonably priced. Dinner for four with milkshakes under $50“
“Clean, calming atmosphere, server had amazing positive energy, food was tasty and fresh. Will be going back!Vegetarian options: A separate section on the menu for vegetarian options; offer vegan broth for pho.Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian optionsParking: Free parking on street after 6pm“
“I love love love this spot, for some good drinks and a chat whether I'm on my own or with friends. One of my favourite things about this spot is that they have a variety of foods of different nationalities which is rare to see! I've been loving the new management as well and the changes they've made from the renovations to the changes in the menu. As a vegetarian and now vegan I appreciate having multiple options to choose from and my favourite at Wylie's is Green Mango Salad, Mango Tofu and their vegetarian pasta, olive oil based (to die for, i kid you not)!!! My friends' favourites include the Nachos Supreme, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and Butter Chicken both of which they rave about constantly!! :)“
“We had a group of 15 people for afternoon tea and snacks. The cook/ owner planned an individual sized menus for us with spring rolls, Indonesian fried chicken, grilled pork, meatballs and rice noodles in soup, curry beef and tendon, stir fried noodles with fresh vegetables ........with specialty tea/hot water. The bill was only $16/person all included. The service good and atmosphere cozy. We would come back again for sure!!“
“The food was good but the server was a little vague about portion sizes when we asked if we could share one she lightly pushed us to get two main instead of a main and appetizer and we ended up getting two mains but one would have been enough. Then when I got one tea which came in a teapot she refused to give another cup because I wasn’t allowed to share as it was for one, which made no sense to me as it’s my tea I should be allowed to do what I want with it as I’ll be paying for it.“
“If you're looking for an upscale feel, without an upscale price - this is the place for you! I'm really big on food presentation and by far, and the ThaiRoomGrand beats even some of the neighboring well known restaurants. The food tastes amazing! I went twice in 1 week! The service is good too, waiters are friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend if you're in the Midtown area to check it out!“
“Classic. Thai Room is a steady and reliable place for lunch if you are craving some Thai. The food here is good, consistent and tasty.I love the spicy chicken dishes which never disappointThe chicken skewers are great. The atmosphere is very basic with simple tables and booths.Parking can be challenging here but worth a stop.Pricing is fair typically $15-20 per dish and most can be shared.“
“Customer service is always great here! It's conveniently right at the corner of Yonge and Finch. They have lots of different types of meals inspired by different Asian flavors. But you also have the option to build your own box. There's also a bubbletea spot here as well!“
“I lived in Toronto for 5 years, ate at many places including Vietnamese and Thai restaurants. This place IS.... THE.... BEST... food around. Since moving to Windsor Essex Area, I stop at this place ever time we go North through Toronto. The prices are always fair, and the family run atmosphere is a welcoming touch. You guys rock, I hope you guys stay around for decades to come.“
“This has quickly become one of our favourite Thai restaurants in the city! Quality that rivals Koh Lipe and other better-known establishments, with phenomenal service and very reasonable prices. Our waiter was attentive and friendly every time. It’s often quite quiet inside, so I hope more people find out about it and get to visit - it’s worth it!Vegetarian options: They can take vegetarian dishes and make them vegan upon request (removing egg, etc)“
“Fast and affordable sushi with good service. This place is always very quiet and empty but it’s really not that bad. Everything is quite affordable and the sashimi and handrolls were good! We went on a weekday for the all you can eat dinner and the 5th person eats for free. It’s definitely a cheaper option than other restaurants in the area but you can get good value for the price.“
“BEST NO FRILLS ASIAN RESTAURANT IN ONTARIO.They do Viet, Thai, and Chinese perfectly.I can go on and on about each dish but I’m not here to preach. I invite you to go yourself and experience the authenticity. I will continue adding more photos each time i order a new item.Flavours are consistent. They use quality ingredients and have held this standard for years. You get reasonable portions and it won’t break the bank. I eat here at least twice a week and I’m always beyond satisfied.Food tip:1) if you like spicy add extra spice to the chicken wings2) get a smoothie, idc which flavour , they’re all good3) their specialty noodles are guarantee a hit (bun bo hue, bun rieu, pho sate) so bomb4) no credit cards - keep food prices low5) they get busy**** takeout or dine in doesn’t matter, so CALL AHEAD you have been warned“
“We placed a catering order from the Mallard location recently. The staff were very kind, and accommodating. If you are ordering for a large group, we recommend going to the location to see the actual size of the catering trays to ensure that you order the right size. Despite doing that, we still ended up ordering too much...:) However, our guests were very happy to take home leftovers because the food was delicious! We ordering vegetarian dishes - Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Spicy Coconut Eggplant, and spring rolls. We highly recommend ordering from this location!“
“Actually quite good. Gone here a few times and is decent for the price. Ordered the extra large rare Pho and arrived within 10 minutes. The Pho was very hot, strong flavours and good quality beef and tendons. The broth wasn't too oily either. Would come here for a quick meal.Spacious inside, clean menus and vigilant workers.“
“Best Spring Rolls in MarkhamFood:Have tried various things here - green curry, pad Thai, spring rolls and chicken satay (RIP)I keep coming back for the spring rolls - they're a generous size, packed with filling and always freshThe pad Thai is as you'd expect from a food stall - eatable and go enough to have againThe green curry was a pass for me, it doesn't come close to my favourite at another local Thai chiliThe chicken satays were great but they discontinued themFood quality - flavour, freshness and temperature always consistentService:Consistent - fast, orders always accurateParking: I can be nearly impossible to get a spot on weekends.“
“I love Thai Express and I’ve gotten it from many different locations (Downtown Toronto, Mississauga, Woodbridge, Waterloo, etc) but this was by far the BEST pad Thai I have ever had. The workers were so friendly and kind, and they took their time to accommodate my requests and make me exactly what I wanted. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the chicken was great, and the tofu tasted so fresh. 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!“
