“Came here on a Sunday. It was Mother's Day. Came with my daughter and my friend. There was only one person working behind the counter at that time. We ate the best pizza ever today. Very flavorful. We had a pizza with tandoori flavored paneer and it was delicious. We added red onions jalapeño peppers and green peppers. The chef had added some seasoning to the pizza and it made our pizza taste really amazing right down to the last bite.
Definitely my family will come here again when we are in the area.“

“Finally made it to Nolaas for lunch. It was busy , so nice to see. Yummy baked good meet you at the door and before that 3 adorable doggies . Everything was fresh and delicious. Well presented and good portions. I couldn’t help stare at the pecan French toast with whip cream going by, next time 😉 I took a few Goodies to go and ordered 5 Xmas dinners and a Yule log. If you haven’t been you must make a trip. I will be back. Thank you“

“A real hidden gem we found tonight. Wonderful people, wonderful ambience and wonderful food. We arrived later and sat at the bar. After looking over the menu we spoke to the bar staff and one of the partners Dan. After asking if the chef could be a little flexible and make a spicy tomato vegetable pasta. The chef did not disappoint. What he brought out for us was Stella! We also had the spinach focaccia which was amazing. We will definitely be back next time we are in Niagara. Do yourself a favour, pay them a visit!“

“I got the Baja fish tacos and my husband got the pork, the rice and beans are absolutely dynamite, the tacos were both so flavorful and very filling. My husband got a beer and I got a classic margarita, can't go wrong and they were also delicious. Our server, I don't recall her name, but she was so sweet and attentive even though it was fairly busy and she was the only one working front of house.

Aside from the food, the decor and overall atmosphere hits the mark perfectly.

“A 10/10 must stop foodie restaurant. We enjoyed 1) the gobbler: a vegan spin on a thanksgiving sandwich with gravy for dipping and 2) the halloumi hot honey sandwich: a vegan hot grilled halloumi cheese with pesto and tofu bacon jam with greens. Both of our dishes were excellent for taste, texture, and presentation. Thank you Heather for hosting us and answering all our menu questions. So many choices and styles of dishes here at Rise Above. Truly a must stop shop! We will be returning tomorrow for a homemade vegan pumpkin cheesecake.“

“ABSOLUTE ROCK STARS! Recently purchased some meat to make my first batch of sausage with. Nick went above and beyond and educated me on the different cuts of meats, what percentages to use and tips and tricks and made sure I got the best of the best. When I picked up everything Joe treated me like family and was very helpful and friendly and also gave me some more education. It's awesome to see two people take so much pride and passion in what they do and treating customers like family. Also, on my way into the store I stopped by the bakery department (like the elf I am LOL) and spoke with the bakery person who was amazing (sorry, didnt get her name, older lady with glasses-very friendly). She educated me on ALL of the sweets and baked goods, how much pride/passion they take in their in house baking goods and also the specialty items from Germany and Italy etc. WOW!
