“When you enter the first thought is WOW. This place looks amazing! You get to the front and you’re greeted by big easy to read menus on the wall, all the food is out steaming hot. Speaking of the food it’s absolutely delicious. The pulled beef and chicken is the perfect consistency, the rice is perfectly cooked, the hot sauce (I got a buffalo bowl) is just enough to burn and spice it up but not over powering. Also tried a peanut butter protein smoothie and all together it made for an incredibly filling meal.Finally service. Michael Khoury, the owner, was incredible. Everything was served and paid for quickly. Honest to god one of the best meals I’ve had in a LONG time. I can’t really say anything else, this place just checks everything off. “Very updated a modernized look and feel to this restaurant. Our bartender was also our server and she was amazing. We were the first couple to dine this particular Saturday afternoon and had the bar to ourselves. The service was outstanding. The cook went out of his way to make a couple of non-menu items such a really great garlic bread. Overall I would rate the entire dining experience at a solid A.“
“Used to order pizza from here years ago under previous ownership. With so many other local options, never became a regular until recently. Have ordered pizza and wings for takeout 6+'times in last two months and have additionally eaten in once. The pizza and wings don't come cheap but nothing of quality does these days. Pizza is very good and wings are huge (crispy on the outside and moist on the inside as they should be). You really get what you pay for. The meatball sub can easily feed two people and is very heavy on the garlic as is the HUGE pasta broccoli entree. Pickup has always been a timely and thorough process (they have you visually confirm accuracy of your order). The dining area off to the left is much nicer than the one at the front; it is separated from foot traffic for pick-up orders. Both areas are clean. Service is accommodating and very friendly. Sarah (I understand she is related to the owner) is amazingly friendly, professional, empowered, and thorough. Pizza freezes and rewarms nicely.“

I'm sorry to report: "soft-serve" in the Golden State is a poor excuse for the real thing. It's got no structure--your tongue cuts right through it in about three licks. Also, I'm pretty sure their cows aren't as happy as they claim to be. So, whenever I go home for a visit, PJ Cools is my first and final stop.This custard is rich, sweet, and silky on your tongue. The texture is similar to softened butter--it melts slowly in your mouth. One cone comes complete with a thousand pleasant memories. What's more, the interior of this place is an explosion of kitsch: old-fashioned cartoons and advertisements line the walls.If you live anywhere near this magic little shack, don't take it for granted. “I recently was diagnosed with a wheat allergy, and life has sucked until now. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience. Service was a little slow but was worth the wait. They were packed, and once my food arrived, I could see why. Everything looked, tasted, and smelled amazing. I was able to indulge in a cookie while I waited, and my hamburger with fresh cut fries was amazing. Everything was fairly priced, and I left with my leftovers and a frozen pizza to try later. A few days later, I tried the pizza and was again blown away. It was fairly priced and delicious. “Food was good and reasonably price. The service was excellent. If I had to criticize anything, the calamari was just a touch over cooked. Monstrous portion of it though it it had excellent flavor. Arancini were large and very good. I had the chicken marsala and it was cooked perfectly. Sauce was very flavorful with a ton of mushrooms. Pleased with the experience. I would go back.“

“This is a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee and homemade food. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that you go home smelling like cooking. The dining room is so comfortable and a real home town country feel. They are very popular and for good reasons.“
