“It was such a pleasure to turn up to Ash’s bar top (think I got the name right) in addition to making the most delicious and innovative cocktails I’ve had in sometime, it was a joy and a privilege to watch such a professional at work. “Hands down this is our favourite goto place in neighborhood when we feel like "lets get fancy and funky at the same time". They make such good steak for a good price in a bustling location. With $100 bucks before tax+tip for a couple we get steaks and drinks to fill us up. This location next to bloor-yonge station is huge and not so crowded. But the last time it was packed and also their beer tap was broken. Still our server Maj made sure we get the best out of the evening and we had a wonderful meal with their holiday season special meal. The sauce on top of the steak had some shrimps. But it was hard to find any bits of crabmeat and lobster as the menu suggested. For a $45 meal, this is something they need to improve. Otherwise, food quality was excellent as usual.“

“Great upbeat, fun place to catch a sporting event on TV and eat delicious food. We always stop in before any event at Scotiabank Arena because it's close to Union Station and walking distance to so much more. Make a reservation online to secure a table, but there is waiting room and the line moves quickly. Always good service, friendly staff and using their Inspired Rewards App you can save money, order, pay and even choose what music they play!

Kid-friendliness: Always super accommodating to kids and they have a great "big" kids menu my 10 year old loves 😉“

“This place is a little gem. The atmosphere is fun but relaxed (if that makes sense). The service is friendly, but not in your face. The food has your typical no-nonsense bar staples. Some items are better than others, but generally, it's good. If you want to stay and play board games, chat, and/or watch a game, this is your place.

Vegetarian options: Their Greek salad was bomb. Big too, enough to share.

“Popped in for a beer before going out for dinner, the bartender was very nice, and our beers and several jugs of water were brought out to us on their back patio quickly. With a name like The Local it really does match the atmosphere of a local watering hole, it doesn't try to be anything more than it is. Had a small stage that looked like it would.be good for an open mic or small performance, and a table with a bunch of board games. If I was from Toronto I'd probably be a regular.

“We stopped in for drinks late after dinner. This is an upscale place with lots of atmosphere, since it is located in the historic 1914 Dominion Bank building. It's worth it to come here just to see the architecture and detailing. The stairs down to the vault were near our table. The building is now an upscale hotel and residence. Our server / bartender was great and there's a nice drink menu. I'm glad we stopped in.“

“Went for dinner last night and had a few pints. Beer selection is amazing BTW. Ordered the flat iron steak medium rare. Plate came and the presentation was great, but the steak was raw. I can eat rare, but this was blue rare. Very politely let my server know and she apologized and placed an order for a new one. The manager then came to the table and apologized and said he’d remove my meal from the bill. I told him that was very generous and appreciated. Second plate came and it was cooked perfect. Errors happen, but the customer service more than made up for it, and I recommend The Craft for this reason.“

“We happened upon this restaurant by a recommendation .....omg....what a diamond of a place... enter through the front door on College Street and wander through to the amazing back patio.....the ambience is unbelievable, you are made to feel so comfortable and at home....our server was Peter who was beyond amazing....if you are looking for a place to go I definitely recommend this place......we are from Ottawa way but will be coming back...totally a 10 out of 10“

“Very friendly husband and wife run, decent people, no drug problems, friendly atmosphere though night life there can be a tad loud, don't bring the kids past dinnertime, it being Parkdale it's tamer then alot of other Establishments that serve alcohol. ? I believe you can Celibate Birthday parties, etc.. just give them a heads up on your plans, they will try to accommodate you and yours! Prices are reasonable there's plaza parking limited, Salvation Army store next door just FYI! P.S. Owners do the serving, no waiters.

Parking: A few disabled spots, closest to the west side of lot. Not sure about unreasonable time periods not having a Vehicle I do know the area.

Wheelchair accessibility: Small lip at doorway but Lance has a piece of wood for entering, and most of the people are quite friendly and actually get the door for wheelchair etc....“

“The food is great, and made fresh to order. A tip i would like to share though: i see so many people look at the menu and walk away because of how expensive it is. But they don’t realize that all the burgers, sandwiches and wraps have fries included in the price. I don’t blame them, that detail is written in small font at the end of the menu lol. “My friends and I had a great time here after stopping by on a whim; we liked the name as we walked by. Great food and drinks, all very reasonably priced. We are from the States and were met with warmth and hospitality, and given so many ideas on where to go next. Ozzi, Kevin, and Pedro, along with others, offered us a wonderful time and conversation. “I had my birthday party at Skada Bar and it was fantastic! The manager Cici was so welcoming and accommodating. She decorated and organized the bar just the way I wanted and she provided food for all my guests. It was a super fun night and everyone that came told me what a great party it was. I would definitely recommend Skada Bar for parties and events!“
