“Randomly stumbled into this spot on a weekday evening and I’m so glad we took the chance! While it was quiet when we entered, the food turned out to be a total standout. We ordered the Spicy Arrabbiata Pasta and Potato Wedges, and both were delicious.

The owner took our order and prepared the food himself. You can tell he makes the sauce from scratch as it took about 20-25 minutes, but the wait was 100% worth it for that fresh, and delicious taste. The portions were massive (more than enough for two!), and the wedges were perfectly crispy. Bonus: they have a pool table to keep you entertained. Definitely coming back for more pasta and appetizers!“

“I used to come here for wings and their other specials all the time 10 years ago when I was working in Oakville. I'm finally back and it's still as good as it was back then. I'm glad it survived COVID, I was worried it may have suffered like a lot of places did.
The bar doesn't look like it has changed at all since I had been here last, it could use a little bit of sprucing up with the booths and tables but otherwise it's great. 1/2 price wings with a beverage is a great deal, you can't beat the price! I brought a bunch of coworkers with me and we had a great time. Since then we have made it a regular thing to either come on wing night or burger night or chicken parm night and even fish night. I have never had a bad meal here, the staff is super friendly and our regular waitress knows our drink orders before we even sit down. It's nice to be considered a regular in a town that we don't actually live in.“

“Had dinner with my Cuz to get caught up after months of not seeing each other. We had a wonderful dinner and our server, Mya, was so very pleasant and helpful. It was fairly quiet when we came in so she gave my cousin and I plenty of room and time to enjoy dinner and dessert. She had a great sense of humor and provided excellent service the entire time. Sadly, this is somewhat rare these days to have such friendly service and a pleasant experience in a restaurant. Five stars across the board.“

“Stopped in for drinks and a snack before seeing a friend in town. I absolutely love this location 😍 The staff are attentive and so much fun , we enjoyed our drinks, the coco mango mojito is so yummy and you can't go wrong with a cold beer on a hot day !
We ordered a couple things to share. wings , they were crispy and delicious and we absolutely loved the coins and curds appetizer we tried as well!

“We stopped here on our way through Mississauga and were not disappointed. I ordered a cob salad with steak. The salad had heirloom tomato, blue cheese chunks, real strips of bacon, soft boiled egg, and the steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare. My husband got a full rack of ribs with fries. The ribs were fall of the bone, perfectly coated in sauce and the fries were fresh and crispy. Two classic meals done perfectly.

“Grabbed a table by the window at The Franklin House around golden hour a few days ago and the light coming in made it almost too easy to get good shots of the food before digging in. The braised short rib was rich without being heavy, and the plating had this nice rustic simplicity that photographed beautifully. Our server clearly noticed I was fussing over angles and offered to dim the overhead light near us a bit, which was a small thing but made a real difference. Parking behind the building was simple too, no circling the block like some spots nearby.“

Roc’n Doc’s rooftop patio on a late-summer Monday is supposed to be the quiet chapter. Soft air, last-call-of-August light over Lakeshore, Jays on the TV, regulars doing the thing regulars do. Instead the universe handed us a remote that had taken a vow of silence, a McMaster guy who approached that remote like it was a midterm he hadn’t studied for, and Bob’s last night before Ottawa steals him.
Nathalie handled all of it like she’d been training for this specific sitcom her whole career.
The TV would not go to the Jays. Not “wrong input.” Not “give it a second.” Full spiritual refusal. The McMaster gentleman — bright, polite, absolutely lost — clicked every button except the one that mattered, then stared at the remote the way a first-year stares at a closed library. Nathalie appeared, did not sigh, did not lecture, just took the thing, performed some small act of witchcraft, and the game was on. No speech. No “I’ve got it.” Just competence wearing a smile.
Then Bob. Long-time regular. Last night before the move. The whole staff treated him like the place was losing a load-bearing wall, which, from the hugs and the extra fuss, it was. Nathalie kept the drinks moving, the table cleared, the send-off feeling like a send-off instead of a checkout. That’s the job done at the next level: making the night about the people in it, not the chaos around it.
Someone called her Clarice. Silence of the Lambs energy on a Port Credit patio. She did not flinch. She dropped a clean “that’s what she said” that landed so well the table had to recover. A woman at the next table called her a vixen — and yes, a vixen is the younger, sharper model of cougar, which tracks. Nathalie took the compliment, kept working, and still remembered who needed what.
Beautiful night. End of summer. Patio doing what that patio does when the weather cooperates. The Jays eventually appeared because Nathalie made them appear. Bob got a proper last night because the staff, led by the woman whose name has an h, decided it would be one.
If you need a Monday to feel like someone is actually in charge — of the remote, the regulars, the jokes, and the last warm evening of the season — sit where Nathalie can see you. Five stars, extra for spelling her name correctly.“
