“From the time we walked in until we walked out we were impressed. Upon entering, the host asked if we wanted a veg/gluten sensitive menu. Which I needed and was very appreciative of. She sat us at a table, then came over a min later to tell us a large group would be sitting behind us and perhaps wanted to change seats to somewhere more quiet. (That right there meant a lot to us as we had a long day and just wanted to relax and eat). Our server Victoria was amazing! Super friendly and gave some great suggestions. The food was beyond. I had the burger with the GF bun and I’m telling you it lifted my spirits. My partner had the club with the cranberry bread and said it was the best they’ve ever had.
The only downfall to this restaurant is there isn’t one in Halifax!

“Oh my lord, Andrew the cook is a Michelin grade artist. The Montreal Smoked meat on rye was dripping wet with juices, the hand cut and blanched yellow gold potatoes with home made gravy made me have several “food orgasms”.

“I've been coming to the Franklin house since I was 19 years old, I'm 33 now and the service is A1, the food is A1 the atmosphere is.... You guessed it, A1! You get nothing but the best.

Dena is one of the best bartenders you'll ever have, she's always had my back and made sure everything thing is right no matter how busy the day may be!

I would recommend the Franklin house to anybody for their family outings or just a place to come by and have a few drinks and relax after a long day. Locals are friendly and easy to make friends with! 10/10 there's no place better than the Franklin house!“
