“My family and I went to Moxies while vacationing in the area, after a long drive from Ottawa we were tired and just wanted to eat dinner. I ordered the beef tenderloin (amazing)husband had ribeye ( also amazing) staff was friendly with great customer service (multiple stops at table to see if everything was fine and if we needed anything) however I did have an issue with an item on my plate and within 10 mins of letting our server know one of the managers ( I’m sorry I forgot her name) was at our table to discuss the issue and assure she would rectify the problem, when she returned with the bill so over compensated us on our bill. Definitely recommend Moxies in Hamilton staff was friendly and quick to rectify the problem as well as multiple apologies for the issue. Sometime s**t happens but it doesn’t mean the food isn’t great. Will defiantly return when in the area“

“I do not typically review restaurants unless they are standouts. After a tough evening of hospital hopping, tired, relieved and hungry- we found this place down the street from the Urgent Care centre. What an absolute gem. It is everything it looks like in the photos except with more charm. They had live traditional music playing and the food was absolutely amazing. It is a little slice of European heaven hiding in Hamilton. Thank you for a great evening! Highly recommend.“

“I had fish and chips at Food Box, and it was great! The fish was crispy and flaky, and the chips were thick and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly, and the place had a nice vibe. If you’re craving good fish and chips, this is the spot!“

“Went here for my Birthday dinner with my husband and the kids and we had the greatest time. This was my second time but first for food. The ambiance is so comforting and cozy I felt right at home. The staff are wonderful and very attentive. The food was very tasty and the kids chicken nuggets actually tasted real. Portion sizes were great, not to mention the prices were decent too. Kids got 1/2 off because it was a Sunday. Im glad we have this place so close.“

“Incredible service. Food was excellent, and good value for the price. If you like fries, you have to give theirs a shot! They are made fresh in house, not from a bag of frozen. It shows in both presentation, and taste! If this place ever has a poutine menu, I'm done for. They will have wheel my fat ass outta there.

Parking: Shares parking lot with grocery store and a few other places. Visiting during peak shopping hours can make parking a bit of a challenge. If you adjust accordingly, and just park where there is a spot, and walk a bit farther, it will ease the stress of trying to find something close to restaurant.“

“Was at Glendale to pick up some food with my friend Claudio today. Everything we had was so good. From the jalapenos poppers, chicken fingers and the fresh fish and chips. Social distance policies were in place. I feel bad for these places during this time of lockdown. But if you are in the area, make sure to stop by for some food. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait until for them to be open fully again so I can experience the atmosphere of this place.“

“We found this restaurant on a whim and glad we did!!! We had our 3 kids with us, sat outside and the owner brought them a bag of toys to play with!! The atmosphere is awesome, especially if you're a race fan! The service and food were great!!!!! Definitely recommend!!!!!!“

“The pastas are really good and the sweet potato fries as well. The caramel apple mocktail was good but they didn’t have apples when I ordered it so that was sad. The bruschetta was yummy but the flatbread(?) part was weirdly stale. Also the water glasses are usually kind of dirty so we try to ask for straws. Good seating though and the staff are always nice. Sad that they’re not open on weekends!“

“Every time I come to Hamilton, I always make a stop here and order an abundance of Bifana sandwiches. 2 to 3 I eat there with about 6 beer and 4 Bifana for take out so I can share and have the next day. Just love the flavour and how Manny makes this traditional Portuguese sandwich delicacy.“

“Good food great atmosphere“

“Came across this cool, not so little spot with friends. The food was pretty standard pub fare, but very good. The nachos were good, the wings were good, but the highlight was the service. Kennedy was a breath of fresh air. Very attentive and friendly and with great suggestions based on our quick conversation. The atmosphere was almost Harry Potter like and made for an interesting setting.

A good little spot for sure on the University campus.

Vegetarian options: The cauliflower wings are pretty decent

“Food was very subpar. the garlic loaf was cold, the soup luke warm, and the chicken fingers for $21 were coated in an oil based sauce that you could not see or taste. Asked for sauce to dip and it was mostly oil mixed with a hot sauce. Yellow Currie was ok but very bland in taste. stack quesadilla was luke warm did not come with sour crème or pico de gala. it had been a long time since we had been here and it looks like it will be even longer before we ever go back. I can say that the servers were pleasant and apologetic for what came out of the kitchen.“

“Nice little bar on barton street east not to far from center mall. Friendly bartender and other customers were nice and respectful. Drinks are priced reasonably, also cheaper than most other bars in hamilton. There are a few pool tables and a huge t.v for entertainment. They Also have a small patio area. Will definitely stop by here again when I'm in the area.“

“Honestly, what a great place!! I had a fantastic experience here. I was enjoying a date night and the staff serving us were great, and really knew what they were offering and nd im happy i listened to their recomendations made great choice. Had pizza with meats and maple syrup, and before u think to yourself, " yea, umm...thats kinda weird!?" It blew my tastebuds away! Strange yet in a bizarre way, the combinations of flavo compliments the pallet in so many ways! The arcade is an added bonus and had the soccer game table, arcade games, Pinball machines etc...the guests also visiting seemed to be a good fun vibing groups also so the atmosphere was very pleasant!Highly recommend ?“
