“it was mine and my girlfriends first time at a moxies restaurant. We had delicious food, it was a great atmosphere and music, and also had a great server named Ryan. One thing that I noticed was that he came to check on us multiple times to make sure everything was ok with our food, in which is not done at many other places. It showed that he cared about our experience and made it very pleasurable. His customer service was number 1.“

“Very authentic Serbian restaurant! We went for a late lunch and ordered the dinner for two, and there were three of us. There was more than enough to eat and we took home leftovers. We had sides of shopska salata salad and lepinje (kind of a flatbread). Everything was very fresh and cooked to perfection. The meats were fresh, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our server was very attentive and polite and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back again soon with friends and family!“

“My husband and I have been here many times over the years and have enjoyed the food and patio atmosphere. This last visit was our best for customer service when we were taken care of by Nicole. She was attentive, genuinely friendly and a pleasant conversationalist. My husband also had a steak n’ swiss sandwich that was his best entree here to date. Thanks so much Nicole for making a great night out for us at the Binbrook Grill.

“UPDATE: Foodbox provided me a replacement box of onion rings on my next order. Overall, they onion rings were okay, A little on the underdone/soft side, but better than being burnt. The Fish & Chips continued to be average and okay. Their fries, which I tried this time too, where pretty good, and the Tar Tar sauce continued to be pretty good too.

I am glad I have them another chance, even if it's not the most amazing food, it's a pretty decent value based on what you get for what you pay, so if you're looking for some good, affordable, decent value, average quality fish and chips. This place ain't that bad.

ORIGINAL REVEIW: Ordered fish and chips from Food Box a few days ago (been busy since then). It was a busy night and we were craving fish and chips so we placed an order. When it arrived, the fish was on par with your average fish and chips place, fair for the price, and the in-house tar-tar sauce was good too.

However, the onion rings were were outright burnt. I am not sure how this passed any visual or quality inspection. The onions inside were shriveled to leather and the outsides were burn and hard as a rock. They were inedible. We were left without a side for our meal.

I am finally getting around to writing a review now so others can be prepared to the quality they can expect if they order, however, I hope this is a one-off and Food Box reaches out to me to give them another chance.“

“Food was very subpar. the garlic loaf was cold, the soup luke warm, and the chicken fingers for $21 were coated in an oil based sauce that you could not see or taste. Asked for sauce to dip and it was mostly oil mixed with a hot sauce. Yellow Currie was ok but very bland in taste. stack quesadilla was luke warm did not come with sour crème or pico de gala. it had been a long time since we had been here and it looks like it will be even longer before we ever go back. I can say that the servers were pleasant and apologetic for what came out of the kitchen.“

We bring our little one that’s 10 for karaoke, she gets to stay until 9. No trouble, just welcoming lovely atmosphere. I love it there, as does my family. Thank you Tracie!“

“Every time I come to Hamilton, I always make a stop here and order an abundance of Bifana sandwiches. 2 to 3 I eat there with about 6 beer and 4 Bifana for take out so I can share and have the next day. Just love the flavour and how Manny makes this traditional Portuguese sandwich delicacy.“

“I really really like the food. It’s like the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had and the burger was amazing too. I just hope that the server could stop asking “how’s it going” every 15 mins. “Nice little bar on barton street east not to far from center mall. Friendly bartender and other customers were nice and respectful. Drinks are priced reasonably, also cheaper than most other bars in hamilton. There are a few pool tables and a huge t.v for entertainment. They Also have a small patio area. Will definitely stop by here again when I'm in the area.“

“Tried to attend a 9 pm Church service in Toronto and it was canceled, arrived back in Hamilton after 10 pm where thr Owner, Pat, opened her doors to us with fresh hot coffee, wine and the finest of hospitality. That's what a great neighborhood is all about. I'll be back soon.Thanks, Pat.“
