“My family went to Jack Astor's today July 18 to celebrate my husbands birthday. There was a line up waiting for tables,, but we did not wait long to get one. We were seated in a comfortable booth for the 4 of us. We enjoyed the services from the person at the reception, up to the host escorting us to our table and most especially our server Tilda who was very courteous and very professional. She came by our table as frequent as possible to check if we were ok and if we need anything else. The food we ordered were excellent. We loved he Asian wanton Nachos and the calamari and all our mains plus dessert. Thank you Tilda for your spectacular service and for bringing other workmates to gather together to sing happy birthday to my husband. “My husband and I were in town for the Blue Jays game to see our friends. We couldn't get tickets for the Jays game, so they recommended that we visit the Bull on Bloor in Etobicoke. This was Game 7! Do or die! We were all adorned in Jays' paraphernalia and arrived early to get seated before it got crowded. There were already many Jays fans sitting along the tables. We sat down at the bar and were greeted by a beautiful and friendly bartender, Deja. She asked us how we are. We told her we were from out of town. She knew our friends very well, and she raced around the bar to give them a huge hug. She hugged us, too! We ordered a couple of Blue Jay beer specials, and we got very comfortable. Deja was interested in where we were from and if we had family. We have two grown kids who are away at school. She showed us a picture of her adorable 3-year-old daughter. She loves her so much, and you could see she was a great mom! It started getting busier as it was closer to game time, and at this point, there was only standing room. She had two barbacks help her get the orders in. The game was on, and it was getting louder and louder as people were cheering for our JAYS! It was complete madness with so many people that you couldn't breathe. But the environment was so energetic and fun, we didn't care. We could see how busy Deja was, yet she attended to everyone's orders and never missed a beat in a professional and friendly manner. She was truly amazing! I could never handle so many people at once. The night went by, and we all know the undesirable result of the game. The entire room was in shock, and their faces were just drained in disappointment. I felt like the overwhelming sadness was shared in the room, and we all began to console each other. At that point, some discouraged people stayed and drank some more, but we needed to go. Deja thanked us, and she ran around the bar, and we all had a vigorous group hug, knowing it would be okay. We will heal. We gave her a great tip, and she thanked us and asked us to come back again. We definitely will. I highly recommend stopping by the Bull on Bloor! We made great memories and new friends.“

Friendly salt-of-the-earth crowd. It won't feel like Toronto when ur here, it's more like sitting in a small-town Ontario working class bar.

“Great place for beers after hockey. Less expensive and less stairs than the arena. 😆 The owner Serge is great, and the server Sonu is very friendly. She might need help soon as they were pretty busy on a Thursday at 6:30!!

“It’s a dive bar and a great place to have a couple of drinks . $5 beers: don’t expect to eat here. Great patio and chill, relaxed environment. Local bar and definitely has a charm. I stop by whenever in the neighborhood. Friendly people once they realize you’re not a cop. Be respectful and you won’t have a problem. Mr. Lee is amazing.“

“Have been here more than once and the quality of the food, the service and the flexibility of the staff was absolutely outstanding, with special mention going out to Joy, who is just great! Highly recommended! We stayed overnight and came in quite late for dinner, but that didn't matter at all - friendly, warm, and quick service.

Lily was my server and she was truly amazing, I seen her hustling up and down and making sure I always being take care of, because of Lily I would definitely be coming back.
