“Hands down this is our favourite goto place in neighborhood when we feel like "lets get fancy and funky at the same time". They make such good steak for a good price in a bustling location. With $100 bucks before tax+tip for a couple we get steaks and drinks to fill us up. This location next to bloor-yonge station is huge and not so crowded. But the last time it was packed and also their beer tap was broken. Still our server Maj made sure we get the best out of the evening and we had a wonderful meal with their holiday season special meal. The sauce on top of the steak had some shrimps. But it was hard to find any bits of crabmeat and lobster as the menu suggested. For a $45 meal, this is something they need to improve. Otherwise, food quality was excellent as usual.“

“Dropped into your bar and grill on Tuesday for lunch. We sat on the deck as it was a beautiful day. Our waitress was Rachel she was amazing. She made us feel very welcome, everything we asked her she knew as well as suggestions on what to have. We all had lunch and a few drinks as well. It was a pleasure having her serve us so friendly. Guarantee if we come back to Toronto we will be back for sure and hope to be served from her again.“

“This place is a little gem. The atmosphere is fun but relaxed (if that makes sense). The service is friendly, but not in your face. The food has your typical no-nonsense bar staples. Some items are better than others, but generally, it's good. If you want to stay and play board games, chat, and/or watch a game, this is your place.

The place itself is easy to miss, being tucked away in a little strip mall. It would hold 30-35 people max. The owner works very hard to keep her customers happy and provide a good experience. “Popped in for a beer before going out for dinner, the bartender was very nice, and our beers and several jugs of water were brought out to us on their back patio quickly. With a name like The Local it really does match the atmosphere of a local watering hole, it doesn't try to be anything more than it is. Had a small stage that looked like it would.be good for an open mic or small performance, and a table with a bunch of board games. If I was from Toronto I'd probably be a regular.

“We stopped in for drinks late after dinner. This is an upscale place with lots of atmosphere, since it is located in the historic 1914 Dominion Bank building. It's worth it to come here just to see the architecture and detailing. The stairs down to the vault were near our table. The building is now an upscale hotel and residence. “Went for dinner last night and had a few pints. Beer selection is amazing BTW. Ordered the flat iron steak medium rare. Plate came and the presentation was great, but the steak was raw. I can eat rare, but this was blue rare. Very politely let my server know and she apologized and placed an order for a new one. The manager then came to the table and apologized and said he’d remove my meal from the bill. I told him that was very generous and appreciated. Second plate came and it was cooked perfect. Errors happen, but the customer service more than made up for it, and I recommend The Craft for this reason.“

“The restaurant can be accessed from within the mall or via an entrance from the upper level parking lot. We had the Thai curry laksa and sirloin steak. The laksa was too salty for my taste and it was mostly tofu and rice noodles - there wasn’t much vegetable in it. We probably wouldn’t order it again. The steak was cooked as ordered (medium) and was quite tasty. The food was served fairly quickly and the waitress was quite attentive. She came by to check on us a few times during our meal to see if we needed anything - this is somewhat unexpected when the restaurant was almost full of people celebrating the holidays.

Parking: The restaurant is located within Fairview Mall which has lots of parking available.“

The owner, Barry, is an incredibly friendly host. His chatter while tending to the bar is incredibly entertaining, he is a real character.
There is only one food item here, wings and fries. But they are very good.

I believe you can Celibate Birthday parties, etc.. just give them a heads up on your plans, they will try to accommodate you and yours! Prices are reasonable there's plaza parking limited, Salvation Army store next door just FYI! P.S. Owners do the serving, no waiters.

Parking: A few disabled spots, closest to the west side of lot. Not sure about unreasonable time periods not having a Vehicle I do know the area.
