They had such a great selection for breakfast and lunch that it was almost too hard to choose what we wanted, but once we got everything we were very happy with our meals! The staff were also very welcoming, accommodating to food restrictions, and overall nice to talk to. We would highly recommend and will definitely be going back soon! :)“

While the restaurant was clearly busier than usual, we did make a reservation and were seated promptly. They were welcomed so warmly and said all of the staff came over to wish them a happy anniversary. They were on a tight time line as they had to get to a concert, and the staff made sure everything arrived quickly and they packaged up dessert for them to take home to enjoy. Thank you for making my parent's evening so special.“

“We received a gift card from a family member for $100 USD as a Christmas Present and were excited about enjoying a meal at this restaurant. The gift card was purchased directly from Joey's, not a 3rd party. We went and everything initially about the restaurant was very enjoyable. The food was very good, the service was attentive and we enjoyed our experience until the cheque arrived. When we we presented the gift card (electronically) our server went to speak with a ⁶manager and then returned to inform us that the $100 USD would be honoured in Canadian dollars. $100 USD is worth $144.50 Canadian dollars according to google when checked today. We paid the bill and tipped the service team 22% and left after effectively having $44.50 taken from us and our family member in what felt like to us, theft by conversion. The manager in question did not come to follow up after our expressing our disappointment JOEY's is already a very expensive restaurant. Further, the gift card information indicates that Joey's has US based restaurants. I'm quite sure that Canadian dollar gift cards are not accepted at par in the US. This ruined for us, what was otherwise a positive experience, through what felt like to us, an act of corporate greed and impersonal profiteering. After this experience we will not be back and sadly, I cannot recommend JOEY's as a place for anyone else to dine at. Any company that sells a gift card directly and then fails to deliver full value is patently dishonest, in my opinion.“

“A real gem in Ottawa. Off the beaten path, but always appreciated. The place, the service, the food, all excellent. I wouldn't say the atmosphere is exciting, but it usually means a nice and quiet meal. A nice location for a business lunch or supper, or romantic gateway. Plenty of parking (including across the street). Rather expensive, but so is everything else nowadays. Highly recommended.“

The chef Arup Jana made an off-menu item for us because it was so good I’d contacted him about it (roasted carrot and brie soup, created for a charity event I attended last month). We had soup at the restaurant and also bought several more servings as takeout to bring home. We also tried about seven of their tapas plates and every single one was incredible. Please go to this restaurant.“

“I love it here… amazing spot. It felt like we got a dinner invite to an artsy grandma’s crib. Seriously perfect atmosphere. No fearful ‘big light,’ just cozy yellows all around. We decided on the shared Daily Feast: three elevated Irish dishes which were sufficient enough to *perfectly* stuff my hungry date and me. To nitpick, the meat and mash course could’ve been warmer; however, the place was packed… I’ll let it slide happily! Everything was either delicious, good, or not-my-thing (shortbread dessert… my enemy). The service was chill and decently paced, even through the chaos of customers / a full house. “Came here for breakfast every morning during my stay at the Westin. Only got the buffet on the last day, and it is definitely the most value. They have a nice selection of different breakfast items at the buffet and they are all well made and taste delicious. All of the a la carte items are also good, but portions are on the smaller side.
