We have indulged in pretty much every type of cookie, cakes, pies, cupcakes, tarts, and croissants (the Boston cream filled one is a must! ) and they are all fabulously delicious. “I’ve had some dry cupcakes from Kelly’s in the past. Vegan and gluten-free is a hard combination to nail, but today I was pleasantly surprised. All of the items I tried were adequately moist, and pretty tasty. The Nanaimo bar was really sweet, but I would definitely get the Skinny Cookie or the Cinnamon Sugar Donut again. They also have a nice coffee menu. For me, it’s nice to have Kelly’s as an option to pick up a vegan cupcake to bring along to a family celebration where non-vegan cake is being served.“

“I’ve been going to MySweeTooth for almost a year now. They have a variety of drinks and pastries. I have to say not everything on the menu is my taste, but I’ve still always enjoyed my experience there. The owners are so nice! And I always feel like a valued customer when I am there. Some of my favourites are there Mango Slushy with Coconut Cream Jelly or Ice Cream and their Hot Dog milk buns. Just this week I finally had the chance to try their fresh Strawberry and Mango mochi, WOW! I think the thickness of the mochi really complements the cream inside well. Even if you only have the chance to go their once, it’s defiantly worth it.“

“Had a lovely experience picking up a couple of pizzas and desserts from here! Ordered three different pizzas and all were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Couldn’t pass up trying a few cannolis as well … and they filled them fresh to order! We tried both the Sicilian and Venetian cannolis and they were both amazing! Full of delicious filling and not too sweet! 10/10 from Nonna! Will definitely be coming back for more!“

“We discovered The Hearty Hooligan after our daughter was diagnosed with an dairy allergy. We now eat here once a week! The food is always consistent regardless of the day of the week or how busy they are. Our favourites are the pickle fries and pizza rolls, we’ve also enjoyed the Mac and Cheese Bake, Moe’s fries, Mac and Cheese burrito, Crunch wraps.. all delicious! We usually add on a dessert to our order which is almost always a punkaroo cookie! The cupcakes and cookies are always good too. The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the staff is always friendly and welcomes you like they’ve known you for years.“

“We have picked pumpkins here for the last two years and every time we have been given conflicting information. We came again this year just to pick pumpkins, expecting to do what we did the last two years, bypass the line, pick a pumpkin and pay on the way out. Instead we were stopped, told we needed to wait in line, pay $6 per person admission (?) then if all we wanted to do was pick pumpkins, then pick them and pay $5 per pumpkin on the way out (?!) We spoke to a young couple we saw leaving with a pumpkin, and they said they had just walked in and paid $5 for a pumpkin… We left without pumpkins and they have lost a repeat customer.“

“I ordered a cake from Amina for my best friend's 30th birthday and it came out way better than I ever imagined. Amina was so easy to work with and responded quickly, she bounced ideas with me and came out with a masterpiece. I would order from her again in a heartbeat. Also the fact everything was Halal was so wonderful and gave me peace of mind knowing that my friend's family was able to enjoy it with her. I wasn't able to taste it as I live in a different province but my friend and her family said it was absolutely delicious. So not only good looking but great tasting! I would highly recommend her and I look forward to ordering from her again.

It made my morning so much easier the day of the party, I just had to pick up and pay, it was nice and quick. Everyone was asking where we got the cake from, and we definitely spread the word. We love supporting local businesses in our community. We ordered the fruit cake, and the sweetness was just right, and it was nice and light almost like a trifle. “OG bagel spot, can’t get better than this from freshness, friendliness and atmosphere in the shop. If you like old school style shop where all you want to do is eat your bagel in peace with some coffee this is it! Staff are always laughing and cheerful and Pops there is always ready to chat it up with you no matter what! “Popped in after a tough bike ride in the rain and was pleasantly surprised. Top marks for delicious food, great coffee and warm customer service. It is a long drive but we will be going back. Also, we paid $8 for two small coffees, two sizeable ginger cookies and two pecan butter tarts. What a deal!“
