“I don’t know how I missed this place, maybe because Fat Pasha shares its space but as soon as I discovered it I thought of nothing but bagel sandwiches for breakfast until the next morning. For 11 on a Saturday this place is well frequented and clearly loved, and I marvelled at the efficiency of 3 people preparing so many different sandwiches from walkins AND Ubereats. I got the double latke sandwich as I love latkes and I haven’t had a good one in a minute. Everything was fresh and delicious, and incredibly filling. I would definitely return to try a bagel (and a latke on its own is just $4.00). This seems like the perfect way to start a weekend morning.“

“My mom had to get an x-ray today and after she was finished, she decided that we both go to the Happy Bagel Bakery and it was such a delight. We both had lux and cream cheese sandwiches, along with a cherry danish and I even had a caramilk milkshake for the very first time! In addition, when we spent a certain amount of money which was something like $30.00 dollars, we were given an additional of six (6) bagels for Free! What a Great Deal! “Oldest and best bagel place in Toronto. Light airy bagels not heavy and chewy. I remember the old days always had a line up outside on Bathurst St. Then later they became more efficient and less old school. It was about time. Service is not the best but acceptable.“

“Had to stop in for the dill cream cheese. Enjoyed it at a friend's over the weekend. Since I now live in NJ, I can't find dill cream cheese. Also couldn't resist the chocolate babka. Incredible amount of delicious chocolate throughout the loaf.“

Their feta and potato sesame pastries are nostalgic to my childhood. DANGEROUSLY GOOD!

And they upped their coffee takeout containers to a high quality cup and I am impressed. Just wish there was more as its so delicious. Drip coffee is full body and high quality imo“

“If you haven't had Bubby's New York Bagels, you're missing out!! Must try Bagel Shop! My favourite spot in Toronto for fresh bagels and breakfast pastries. I don't know how they make the bagels as good as they do, but I love them for doing it! The cinnamon buns are so massive and delicious its incredible. I recenlty did a breakfast catering order and people were literally running to the table becasue of how good the pastries looked! And then they ran back twice as fast when they tasted how good they were! Can't wait to order again!“

“I went here for the first time yesterday because I needed a coffee while waiting for my cat to finish her vet appointment. The barista was new (I didn’t know), but two other customers went up to her and asked if it was her first day and said she’ll do fine etc (I think it turned out that they both worked there too), and that was the nicest thing I’ve ever seen. 🥺 The coffee was also good. It wasn’t acidic at all, and I ended up buying a bag of it for my home.“

“They have excellent bagels here. This is what you should come here for as they are absolutely delicious. No doubt some of the best in the downtown core.

However, I personally wouldn't order the soup or salad here again. The Caesar salad was not good, and the soup is straight from a can.

I can think of a few soup recipes that would actually be possible to prepare in that small space, in virtually no time, without a lot of ingredients, and without a stovetop.“

“They were very helpful and I love their bagels. They told me come back at 145 pm where they package the bagels in bags of six and it would be slightly cheaper if I brought 12 bagels. When I came back, there was some elderly white guy kept staring at me while stating excuse me and waving his hands. I had to tell him several times that I didn't work here and there was no one behind me. RASICST. After serveral attempts of telling him to go to the cashier given that he sat in the section with a sign that states that section was closed, he found a manager. The manager had to tell him I dont work there and pointed to the sgin that states the section is closed. As a result, I had to take a piont away“

“I went today, owner was so nice. She let me try some items, so yummy. I will be making trips often. I bought ravioli, gnocchi, pizza crust, focaccia, bagels and flour so I can make my own French crepes and custard this weekend. Pierangela the owner was so interested in what needs I had regarding being gf and explained how to prepare all the items I bought in detail. I highly recommend making a trip to Nate’s, you won’t be disappointed.“

“My husband and I are huge fans of Amber. Food is incredible (for breakfast, lunch, or dinner), the staff are super friendly, and the place and ambiance are great. Particularly during the hot months when they have the patio outside. I know they are more known for the coffee and brunch food, but I highly recommend the rest of the menu. I find the fusion so fresh and contemporary. The food has an international flavour, with their Easter European and Middle Eastern touch (the chef used to be the executive chef at Parallel on Geary Ave). Highly highly recommend it!“

“I had an appointment, but had time to kill and unfamiliar with the area I started walking and came across this bagel shop, but there was way more than bagels being sold inside. Freshly baked bagels. Aromas smelled so yummy. The staff were so friendly and nice, and all my 30 years on earth! I have never had toppings on my bagel believe it or not today I had the best bagel I’ve ever eaten seriously. I have never moaned like that while I eating. I would recommend to anyone.“

“Nice bagels overall and definitely worth trying. The Jerusalem onion bagel was the standout for me super fresh, flavorful, and had a really nice texture. You can tell the bagels themselves are made well. The vegan cream cheese was decent but a little underwhelming since it didn’t have much flavor and could’ve been creamier or more seasoned. The turkey was unfortunately the low point because it had a slightly weird smell that threw me off a bit. Aside from that, the quality of the bagel itself really carried the experience. I’d come back again mainly for the bagels, especially the Jerusalem onion one.“
