“1st time there. While sitting at the bar before reservation was great. They were very intention and kept checking in. Once seated at our reservation time, it was a bit before easier came to ask if we needed a drink or ready to order. Once he arrived he was great. When the meal came, one of the sides was cold. Informed them and they quickly got me a new side and have a discount. They were fast and very apologetic. I would definitely recommend this place“

“It was my first time coming to this Chucks location, usually I frequent the one at Queen & Kennedy with my friend. I came here also with my friend and the vibe was what you would expect from Chucks- laid back and chill. The food and drinks were fine but what stood out and made my night more enjoyable was the excellent service by my server, Olivia. She never left us waiting, she always checked in on us despite it being pretty busy. She was very friendly, kind and warm, not all servers are. Her warmth made it a more enjoyable night out.“

“We head to the Carbon Bar at least once a month to watch 'the game' or just a pub food night out. The food is consistently good quality and always served hot. The servers are attentive and focused on their customers! Its a great local bar and we're rarely disappointed when we show up!“

Took our coats, moved us to a new table without us asking when he noticed we were uncomfortable. “This is our favourite neighborhood pub. Cozy fireplaces in the winter, back patio oasis in the summer. Front patio on nice days for brunch. We eat here whenever we are too lazy to cook or do dishes because the menu has a nice range, the food is good + reasonably priced and the vibes are low-key. They have the BEST wings (with the side of carrots & celery and the chunky proper blue cheese dressing) This place is honestly such a comfort and good for most occasions.“

“To be honest, I’m surprised how this place has only four stars. The concept, quality of food, service and overall experience has been just spot on.

I had wonderful memories at this place while partying with my friends, celebrating my birthday and just casually sitting with my wife having a wonderful dinner.

The price for a pitcher of beer is super fair, and the quality of the beef skewers is just top-notch.

Definitely will be back and from now on I’m not sure if I will be judging places by the rating.“

Rude staff and an even more rude owner... don't bother complaining about anything because you're just going to get cussed at... absolutely appalling behavior... the usual crowd are loud obnoxious and seriously over their limits. I've witnessed tables and chairs falling all over the place on many occasions because people are way too intoxicated to think. The owner acts like he's untouchable and says things like " you're in a bar what do you expect " . I expect to be treated as a paying customer. Never going there again. also... one of the servers is literally always drunk out of her mind... my very first visit she was crying about her ex... and almost every time I ordered wings SHE GOT MY ORDER WRONG....over and over again!! let's just say ive had many free wings and stuff from her as an apology... I gave them a chance. several actually. but after that conversation with the owner.... im done. DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!“

“So I went to this restaurant on August 8th this week for a social event, and the onion rings and chicken fingers were good and the service was good. However, if you require news captioning, there is something wrong with the TVs or with the service that the restaurant uses which prevents them from being able to turn on closed captioning for the CP24 news channel. I was very confused as to why the staff I asked said no to me - I genuinely believed discrimination at first. However, someone from the social attempted to navigate the menus and the option for closed captioning was grayed out and not selectable. I hope that issue can be corrected in due time around the TV and/or the service as captioning has many beneficiaries and I would hate for the restaurant to miss out on repeat business because of that. My recommendation is thus based on the service around food. Numerically, everything overall is a 4 out of 5.“

“We happened upon this restaurant by a recommendation .....omg....what a diamond of a place... enter through the front door on College Street and wander through to the amazing back patio.....the ambience is unbelievable, you are made to feel so comfortable and at home....our server was Peter who was beyond amazing....if you are looking for a place to go I definitely recommend this place......we are from Ottawa way but will be coming back...totally a 10 out of 10“

“My husband and I were in town for the Blue Jays game to see our friends. We couldn't get tickets for the Jays game, so they recommended that we visit the Bull on Bloor in Etobicoke. This was Game 7! Do or die! We were all adorned in Jays' paraphernalia and arrived early to get seated before it got crowded. There were already many Jays fans sitting along the tables. We sat down at the bar and were greeted by a beautiful and friendly bartender, Deja. She asked us how we are. We told her we were from out of town. She knew our friends very well, and she raced around the bar to give them a huge hug. She hugged us, too! We ordered a couple of Blue Jay beer specials, and we got very comfortable. Deja was interested in where we were from and if we had family. We have two grown kids who are away at school. She showed us a picture of her adorable 3-year-old daughter. She loves her so much, and you could see she was a great mom! It started getting busier as it was closer to game time, and at this point, there was only standing room. She had two barbacks help her get the orders in. The game was on, and it was getting louder and louder as people were cheering for our JAYS! It was complete madness with so many people that you couldn't breathe. But the environment was so energetic and fun, we didn't care. We could see how busy Deja was, yet she attended to everyone's orders and never missed a beat in a professional and friendly manner. She was truly amazing! I could never handle so many people at once. The night went by, and we all know the undesirable result of the game. The entire room was in shock, and their faces were just drained in disappointment. I felt like the overwhelming sadness was shared in the room, and we all began to console each other. At that point, some discouraged people stayed and drank some more, but we needed to go. Deja thanked us, and she ran around the bar, and we all had a vigorous group hug, knowing it would be okay. We will heal. We gave her a great tip, and she thanked us and asked us to come back again. We definitely will. I highly recommend stopping by the Bull on Bloor! We made great memories and new friends.“

“Had a good night at Teller Bar & Bistro. The beer was genuinely great, super crisp and exactly what you want after a long day. The steak was fine, not bad at all, just not particularly memorable. The gnocchi was good, really creamy and saucy in the best way.

Only thing worth noting is that the entrance was a bit confusing. It’s tucked below the hotel, so it took a minute to figure out where to go.
Overall, solid spot for drinks and a relaxed meal. I’d come back to try more of the menu.“
