We always stop in before any event at Scotiabank Arena because it's close to Union Station and walking distance to so much more. Make a reservation online to secure a table, but there is waiting room and the line moves quickly. Always good service, friendly staff and using their Inspired Rewards App you can save money, order, pay and even choose what music they play!

The food was overall good, definitely recommend the Cajun dry rub wings, it was really nice, fresh and crispy. I don’t really recommend the nachos though, we ordered chicken nachos and the portion was really small with very few pieces of chicken, for the price I don’t think it’s worth it. Also don’t recommend fish and chips even though it tasted good. The fish portion was way too small (you could finished it in 2 bites).
They also don’t have any mocktails options which I would expect a bar to have for those who don’t drink or can’t drink.
The service was good but a bit slow, only 2 servers (1 on the floor and 1 at the bar) at the time, but this could be because we came on a weekday, not sure about the weekend.“

Fantastic warm service and bonus that it was someone’s birthday at Friday night karaoke and we saw a soul wrenching rendition of “Part of Your World” from the Little Mermaid. Only 4 stars because they were playing UFC which isn’t one of my favourite sports but it is a sports bar after all. In my heart it’s 4.5 stars. I’ll be back to try some of the other 79 wing flavours.“

Food was unbelievable and decently priced. $156 for 5 people to share and we ordered about 10-12 meals I think. You do not want to sleep on this place. The girl that took our payment (maybe also bartender?) was a doll and so friendly. I actually called after we ate to say how good it was lol. 10/10“

“So I went to this restaurant on August 8th this week for a social event, and the onion rings and chicken fingers were good and the service was good. However, if you require news captioning, there is something wrong with the TVs or with the service that the restaurant uses which prevents them from being able to turn on closed captioning for the CP24 news channel. I was very confused as to why the staff I asked said no to me - I genuinely believed discrimination at first. However, someone from the social attempted to navigate the menus and the option for closed captioning was grayed out and not selectable. I hope that issue can be corrected in due time around the TV and/or the service as captioning has many beneficiaries and I would hate for the restaurant to miss out on repeat business because of that. My recommendation is thus based on the service around food. Numerically, everything overall is a 4 out of 5.“

“Popped in for a beer before going out for dinner, the bartender was very nice, and our beers and several jugs of water were brought out to us on their back patio quickly. With a name like The Local it really does match the atmosphere of a local watering hole, it doesn't try to be anything more than it is. Had a small stage that looked like it would.be good for an open mic or small performance, and a table with a bunch of board games. If I was from Toronto I'd probably be a regular.

“Went for dinner last night and had a few pints. Beer selection is amazing BTW. Ordered the flat iron steak medium rare. Plate came and the presentation was great, but the steak was raw. I can eat rare, but this was blue rare. Very politely let my server know and she apologized and placed an order for a new one. The manager then came to the table and apologized and said he’d remove my meal from the bill. I told him that was very generous and appreciated. Second plate came and it was cooked perfect. Errors happen, but the customer service more than made up for it, and I recommend The Craft for this reason.“

“This was my first time ever coming to Pump House Grille and wow, I was seriously impressed with the food and the service.

We got the cheesy bread, I had the jerk tacos, and we split the brownie sundae.

First off, the cheesy bread came with this tomato dipping sauce and it was so good. The bread itself was perfectly crispy and super cheesy,just the way it should be. Perfect!
Then the jerk tacos. Ohh myyy word. They were unreal. Spicy, but like the kind of spicy that makes you keep going back for more.
And that brownie sundae??? The brownie made me feel like I was swimming like Augustus into a river of decadent chocolate.
Warm, rich, chocolatey goodness. I didn’t want it to end.

The service was also amazing. I love being able to see the kitchen staff doing their thing and the managers actually out and about talking to people.
You can tell they care about the place and want everyone to have a great time.

On our way out, I saw someone setting up for live entertainment.
Not sure if that’s a regular thing, but either way, I thought that was such a cool vibe.

“This place is really a hidden gem with a great menu & great service! I recently visited Southside Johnny’s for a quiet night out, and I have to say, it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was laid-back, perfect for unwinding after a long day. But what really made it memorable was the food and service!! 10/10!!
If you’re a fan of hearty meal, you have to try their beef ribs !!! The loaded nachos were an ideal appetizer to start things off!! Crispy, cheesy, and loaded with toppings. Honestly, I could have eaten the nachos as a meal in itself! (Definitely more of a share!!)
What really made the night stand out, though, was the bartender. The brunette behind the bar was not only friendly and welcoming, but she had a fantastic sense of humor that really brightened up the quiet evening. Her service was spot on she was efficient, attentive, and genuinely fun to talk to. All in all, Southside Johnny’s hit all the right notes, and I’ll definitely be back. The restaurant opened last year, and this was our first time there. After seeing so many great reviews online, we decided to check it out. We were greeted right away and seated where we preferred. Our server, Sarah, was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and helpful in guiding us with our drink choices. Between the four of us, we ordered: Chicken wings with fries Onion rings Garlic bread Buffalo chicken wrap with fries Braised beef stone-fired pizza Everyone agreed the food was excellent. I had the pizza, and it was sensational—the beef was tender and perfectly portioned, pairing beautifully with the onions and mushrooms. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, whether you’re enjoying a meal on the patio, dining indoors, or sitting at the bar surrounded by plenty of TVs. Service was impeccable. The washrooms were very clean, though they are located in the basement. If you’ve had a few drinks, you might prefer the accessible washroom on the main floor, as the stairs are steep. We all agreed we will definitely be back—there are so many other tempting menu items we want to try. The amazing service we received from Sarah made the experience even more enjoyable. “My first time there was 02/03/24. Nice place and definitely an adult crowd. A big shout to the DJ/Selector "Roots Fire Sound" Donson, who was fantastic. He had the vibes on lock with good music and shout-outs to the birthday people about five that night. The owner of the lounge, Sugar bird, took over from the DJ/Selector about 2 hours before closing, and why? He shut the vibes down. He needs to let the professional do the job from start to finish. There is also jerk chicken, chicken wings, soup, and other food, which I won't comment on because I didn't eat anything. There is also a $10 charge at the door.“
