“Hands down this is our favourite goto place in neighborhood when we feel like "lets get fancy and funky at the same time". They make such good steak for a good price in a bustling location. With $100 bucks before tax+tip for a couple we get steaks and drinks to fill us up. This location next to bloor-yonge station is huge and not so crowded. But the last time it was packed and also their beer tap was broken. Still our server Maj made sure we get the best out of the evening and we had a wonderful meal with their holiday season special meal. The sauce on top of the steak had some shrimps. But it was hard to find any bits of crabmeat and lobster as the menu suggested. For a $45 meal, this is something they need to improve. Otherwise, food quality was excellent as usual.“

Some items are better than others, but generally, it's good. If you want to stay and play board games, chat, and/or watch a game, this is your place.

“So I went to this restaurant on August 8th this week for a social event, and the onion rings and chicken fingers were good and the service was good. However, if you require news captioning, there is something wrong with the TVs or with the service that the restaurant uses which prevents them from being able to turn on closed captioning for the CP24 news channel. I was very confused as to why the staff I asked said no to me - I genuinely believed discrimination at first. However, someone from the social attempted to navigate the menus and the option for closed captioning was grayed out and not selectable. I hope that issue can be corrected in due time around the TV and/or the service as captioning has many beneficiaries and I would hate for the restaurant to miss out on repeat business because of that. My recommendation is thus based on the service around food. Numerically, everything overall is a 4 out of 5.“

“It has been a very long time since I was here but when I was in Toronto on business my go-to place for awesome pub food was the Artful Dodger! The service was excellent and the food incredible! I have such wonderful memories of this pub. They had the best Perogies served with onions, bacon, shredded cheese, sour cream and salsa. With a mug of ice cold beer, what a great meal!“

“Great upbeat, fun place to catch a sporting event on TV and eat delicious food. We always stop in before any event at Scotiabank Arena because it's close to Union Station and walking distance to so much more. Make a reservation online to secure a table, but there is waiting room and the line moves quickly. Always good service, friendly staff and using their Inspired Rewards App you can save money, order, pay and even choose what music they play!

Kid-friendliness: Always super accommodating to kids and they have a great "big" kids menu my 10 year old loves 😉“

“Nice little place to get some good bar food with friends and watch a game. We had veggie quesadillas and a greek salad. Food was great and prices were quite reasonable. The place itself is easy to miss, being tucked away in a little strip mall. It would hold 30-35 people max. The owner works very hard to keep her customers happy and provide a good experience. We would happily return!“

“I've never actually been there on a busy night especially to try their seafood Monday nights. The atmosphere surprises me because the first time entering you would not think that they serve island dish and the misic is comforting. I do enjoy going there.“

With a name like The Local it really does match the atmosphere of a local watering hole, it doesn't try to be anything more than it is. Had a small stage that looked like it would.be good for an open mic or small performance, and a table with a bunch of board games. If I was from Toronto I'd probably be a regular.

“My first time there was 02/03/24. Nice place and definitely an adult crowd. A big shout to the DJ/Selector "Roots Fire Sound" Donson, who was fantastic. He had the vibes on lock with good music and shout-outs to the birthday people about five that night. The owner of the lounge, Sugar bird, took over from the DJ/Selector about 2 hours before closing, and why? He shut the vibes down. He needs to let the professional do the job from start to finish. There is also jerk chicken, chicken wings, soup, and other food, which I won't comment on because I didn't eat anything. There is also a $10 charge at the door.“

“We stopped in for drinks late after dinner. This is an upscale place with lots of atmosphere, since it is located in the historic 1914 Dominion Bank building. It's worth it to come here just to see the architecture and detailing. The stairs down to the vault were near our table. The building is now an upscale hotel and residence. Our server / bartender was great and there's a nice drink menu. I'm glad we stopped in.“

“Went for dinner last night and had a few pints. Beer selection is amazing BTW. Ordered the flat iron steak medium rare. Plate came and the presentation was great, but the steak was raw. I can eat rare, but this was blue rare. Very politely let my server know and she apologized and placed an order for a new one. The manager then came to the table and apologized and said he’d remove my meal from the bill. I told him that was very generous and appreciated. Second plate came and it was cooked perfect. Errors happen, but the customer service more than made up for it, and I recommend The Craft for this reason.“

“The restaurant can be accessed from within the mall or via an entrance from the upper level parking lot. We had the Thai curry laksa and sirloin steak. The laksa was too salty for my taste and it was mostly tofu and rice noodles - there wasn’t much vegetable in it. We probably wouldn’t order it again. The steak was cooked as ordered (medium) and was quite tasty. The food was served fairly quickly and the waitress was quite attentive. She came by to check on us a few times during our meal to see if we needed anything - this is somewhat unexpected when the restaurant was almost full of people celebrating the holidays.

Parking: The restaurant is located within Fairview Mall which has lots of parking available.“

“The congress is a quintessential hole in the wall.
The owner, Barry, is an incredibly friendly host. His chatter while tending to the bar is incredibly entertaining, he is a real character.
There is only one food item here, wings and fries. But they are very good.

I will definitely be coming again.“
