“Our flight was delayed quite a while so we left the airport and found this amazing restaurant, we are so happy we did! The food was incredible I had the Halibut with a side Greek salad and my husband had the grilled cheese with ham and homemade chicken rice soup. The service was amazing our server Marykay was incredible as was Peter another family member and everything was so fresh and well prepared. Such a welcoming atmosphere, we definitely will be back and I highly recommend this place!!“

“Just WOW!!! The food we ordered was amazing. We got a chicken/pork souvlaki dinner, chicken leg main, and moussaka. The chicken/pork souvlaki dinner comes with salad, rice, potatoes, eight pieces of meat, olive oil/vinegar and tzatziki on the side. Both dinners were excellent especially the pork souvlaki, and I usually prefer chicken souvlaki to pork. For the pork souvlaki there is a wait of like eight minutes but it is so worth it. The chicken leg was so, so good, perfectly seasoned! The main is a smaller portion than the dinner and it is a good size if you aren't too hungry. My absolute favorite was the moussaka. I have tried moussaka in many different restaurants and you can tell they don't make it themselves. This moussaka is homemade and the best I have ever tried (been to Greece many,many times). The moussaka is a HUGE portion and honestly surprised me that it was only 23 dollars. Overall the food is amazing and so worth it. The store is really clean (even the windows), there is plenty of parking, and the service is wonderful. The young lady in the front is so helpful and nice. Can't wait to try more things!“

“Not gonna lie, this is the best Greek spot I’ve ever been in Toronto. Everything looks so yummy and delicious! Their staff members are amazing, really funny, and happy to answer any questions. “Greek taverna is our family's go to when ordering food. The Greek salad is always fresh and the dressing is so good. However, I must express my disappointment in the Greek salad dressing. For quite awhile the dressing hadn't been consistently good. When I first started going there the dressing was so flavourful that I would drop in to purchase just the dressing. Now we find it being less flavourful if any flavour at all. Again this is not consistent though. We had the salad two weeks ago and were so happy that the dressing taste flavourful as it should be. Tonight we ordered it and no flavour. Not sure what's going on. It almost taste as though more oil is being poured into the dressing I might have have to go elsewhere. So disappointed“

Just as the same suggests everyone who worked here are so friendly and hospitable. Felt like we were invited for dinner at a greek family's house. The food was exceptionally good. Mr. Greek is good, but Danny Greek Grill Express is incredible and the portions are so generous, the staff are wonderful and so pleasant to deal with and extremely hospitable. They make you feel welcome the minute you walk into the restaurant.

“I have been to many greek restaurants in Toronto, but none are like Salonika restaurant. The flavours were true to northern Greece, and the hosts offered authentic, warm hospitality, a slice of home where you could hear greek spoken in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food is delicious, we ordered many small dishes and had meze style dinner, and they delivered some of the best food we've had in the city. The melitzanosalata (eggplant salad) and tzatziki were absolute bangers, fresh and light. They also brought us pita bread and some crispy toasted greek bread coated with olive oil and herbs (ladoriganh). The fried calamari is the best in town in my experience, thin crispy rings, well seasoned and they felt light which means they were cooked to perfection. My personal favourite was the keftedakia, I cant believe how much it reminded me of home. I have no words, they were perfect. To top it all off, the karithopita was a perfect dessert to follow our dinner. Overall, I recommend Salonika to everyone who would a taste of Greece or just want good food and a warm, special experience in the heart of the Danfort“

“This is an exceptional pork gyro. Filled generously with fresh tasty ingredients, and assembled with confidence (I wasn’t sure this would all get wrapped up - let alone consumed!).

Everything was better than expected, including the quality fries, the crispy juicy pork shaved right off the spit, and the special sauce.
