“Anytime I'm in McMinnville I make sure to eat here. I live in Hillsboro with probably over 100 Mexican food trucks and restaurants and feel confident saying this is the best Mexican food I've ever had. Everything is top notch and grilled to perfection, the salsa bar is the icing on the cake. I could seriously drink all the salsa they serve. If you haven't tried this place you are missing out on this one of a kind gem.

If you’re looking for a place that feels like homey on the porch of a farm then this is the place! You could plan a whole day hopping to adjacent wineries easily.“

As wonderful as the food is, the imaginative presentations really raise the bar on what a true fine dining experience should be. When you go, be prepared for a three hour experience with the Omakase menu. Not to mention a mid three figures for two with wine and really great cocktails. But then, life is too short and unpredictable to not treat yourself!!!!“

We always order take out, and part of that usually means less food. But that NEVER happens with El Primo. We’ve had dinner at the restaurant too a few times. And they’re wonderful. The inside is bigger than it looks. And the bar side is super cozy. 100/10 recommend!“

“This place was empty on a weeknight. Food options are what is normally expected of Chinese restaurants; portion sizes were huge at reasonable prices. This was the cheapest place we visited on our trip through McMinnville and the only place we had leftovers because of the quantity provided. Food was flavorful and staff were nice. Of specific note, the service was fast. I mean, lightning fast. Maybe it was because we were early for dinner and one of the only people in the restaurant but I swear their preparation time makes McDonald’s ashamed. We had all our food served hot within 5 minutes. And for a family having spent the scorching hot day at the nearby airplane water park and museum, good non-burger food served fast was a welcome treat.“

“Went in as out of towners for a girls trip. We went initially to go to the roof top bar but it was already closed so we enjoyed a cocktail at the main bar. Rachel was our bartender and she was excellent. She took time to make this delicious cucumber margarita cocktail for my friend that had a lot of components and you could certainly taste the love! I would definitely recommend that drink and made by Rachel. Don’t complain about the time it takes to make it because it’s worth it and she is a true mixologist! Thank you Rachel!“

“For nearly 20 years, since i was a child, ive been loving this place. The food is great, i love the spicy fried rice with chicken. Weird hours at times, but that's no reason to throw hate their way, do you booboo. I love this restaurant and the wonderful folks who run it.“
