“Got sushi from here for my birthday and everything tasted AMAZING! Easily the best sushi in Bend. The volcano roll was my favorite, and the Edison was a close second. The burrito roll may seem a little menacing, but tasted surprisingly fresh and had a great selection of ingredients!“
“You will not regret visiting here! This is some of the most delicious poke I’ve had. I’m addicted, now going once weekly. Generous portions, great customer service. What more can you ask for?Make sure to be adventurous and try different sauces! That’s where all the flavor comes from. I love mixing spicy ponzu and sesame soy together over spicy tuna, salmon and yellowfin.“
“Juno (inside podski right next to the bar) is likely the best sushi in central Oregon. Since moving out from Denver where we were spoiled with Sushi Den, Juno has been our go-to for excellent quality sushi with creative rolls and many locally sourced ingredients to help make it a little more sustainable. The Oishii and Ohanami rolls are some of our favorites, and our toddler loves the miso soup.Their hours can vary so we typically check their FB page to verify they’re open.“
“Kanpai exceeded even our high expectations after reading the reviews. A new sushi favorite - from the quality of the fish, to the impeccable preparation of rolls and nagiri, to the immaculate details with every dish. The staff is friendly and professional, the sake selection is excellent, and the cocktails are fresh and delicious. Extra points for dueling Godzillas managing the tip jar.“
“This place is really great. The dining ambience is great and comfortable. There is a lot of staff and they are fast and friendly. The food is is really tasty and they have gluten free options on many of the dishes which we require in my family. There is a higher price/smaller that other restaurant options, but I feel the quality makes up for this and the fact that they offer gluten free options and great dining experience, outweighs price.I definitely recommend.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options which make it easy to dine with family members with restricted diets.“
“My grandson turned 18 and he wanted sushi. This place was at his request. Everything we ordered was really good right down to the hot green tea. They even brought out a free dessert with a candle. Here’s to delicious sushi and celebrations! Thanks Shinsei!“
“The food is good but the portions are a bit on the small side for the price. We've tried a lot of different options here and have always liked the sushi but it's pretty basic and haven't been blown away but it's good for a food truck. They are always kind and provide good service. It's a sushi food truck in Bend so set your realistic expectations and give them a try.“
“We love visiting Mio! We always get excellent service and the sushi is always consistent and delicious! My favorite is the bloody vampire roll. Definitely worth trying out when you’re in Bend! We’ve had sushi everywhere in town and this is our favorite place hands-down.“
“Very stoked to have good, fresh seafood available up in Tumalo at The Bite! I've tried several of the gluten-free poke bowls and sushi rolls and really enjoyed them all. For especially friendly service, visit them at the Midtown Yacht Club location. (Frank, aka "Pops" is the BEST!) These guys get slammed with online and in-person orders so sometimes they can be a bit short/rushed, but overall the food is good quality and I appreciate that they work hard to get things right.“
“Best sushi we've had in a long time! It's hard to just eat one roll, so we had 3. They were all different, they were all very good, & unique! The Cucumber Jalapeno margarita was also the best I've had in town!Highly recommended!“
