“Driving through Cascade Locks, the sudden appearance of the stern wheeler prompted us to embark on an unplanned journey. Inside, the warm ambiance and reasonably priced, amazing bar service enhanced the experience. There was also a small food menu, but we decided not to indulge and instead focus on the scenery. The captain's informative commentary added depth to the picturesque views. The the option to walk around the entire vessel allowed us to explore and fully embrace the charm of the cruise. This spontaneous adventure—scenery, warmth, narration, delightful drinks, and the freedom to explore—made it truly unforgettable.“
“It is a great place for traditional American food. Won't break the bank. Great views if you can get a window seat.Kid-friendliness: Great place to take the kids to eat. They have a souvenir store attached. My family has never made it out without buying something. They make really good fudge.Wheelchair accessibility: No problems. Not sure if the have automatic doors so that maybe difficult.“
“Where do I start? The beer was delicious! I had the Oneonta Falls Hazy and the Hole-In-The-Wall-Falls Juicy IPA. Both were excellent! Food-wise, there were two burgers and the fried chicken sandwich ordered at our table. I had the White Cheddar Bacon Jam burger and let me tell you, AMAZING! The fries were excellent as well. One last comment on the food. The lemonade is hand pressed and oh my was it delightful. Our server was super kind. I'm an hour away from here and can't wait to go back.“
“The server/bartender was subbing to help the cook out today, and he did a wonderful job. The vegetarian sandwich was incredibly delicious! I ordered the only IPA on tap, and it was refreshing after my strenuous hike in the Eastern Gorge at Tracy Hill in the snow. Great day with a great restaurant stop in Cascade Locks!“
“Nice low-key atmosphere. Good is delicious and a good price & portions. Especially like the Nw Salad with brisket, super smokey chili, and the pretzel sticks with cheese. Tried a beer flight of IPAs and stouts. IPA were quite hoppy enough for our tastes and the stout was a big too sweet. Not bad, just not our taste.“
“My daughter and I stopped in for breakfast before leaving Stevenson and what a treat! Delicious food, a charming atmosphere and one of the most wonderful waitresses I’ve ever encountered. She (Michelle S.) was delightful. Happy and cheerful as well as efficient, she made a lovely meal even better. We will definitely return to Big River Grill!“
“I stayed at the Hot Springs for my birthday and came in to use the coupons given when I checked in, and I am so glad I did!! The food was amazing (shout out to the cook from Minneapolis, you know your stuff!), and the bartender Rachel was kind, made very tasty drinks, and even helped me narrow down what route to take for my birthday hike. I couldn't have asked for more, and will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!!!“
“Very small town Tap House. My husband’s hometown is a Carson. Sometime we stopped by a Stevenson we choose this the Restaurant. Crews are kind and nice. Interior designs are a very cute and beautiful. Foods are a good we didn’t drink a draft because we have a 3years old baby and driving around but sound’s like they have a good beer selections.! I loved steak bites so delicious also i almost blew out from my baby she played a her crayon into the water cup in and out. Even her hands inside a cup.. ?anyway I was feeling chaos, dirty, gross and embarrassed but our server lady was a nice, very sweet and friendly make us very comfortable even crazy mom(me lol )and cranky 3years old girl was there. Thank you I hope we could be there again without kids lol ?“
“One of the first breweries I visited before breweries were "cool". First time was 10 and a half years ago. They didn't disappoint, I was afraid that my memory was stale, but beer was great, food was great, service was amazing. Kid and pet super friendly. Thank you Walking Man!“
“I have been seeing their lunch specials on Facebook for quite some time. Today when I went to get the mail, I decided I’d sneak across the river and pick up lunch for everyone. Today’s special is Tina’s favorite sandwich. Tony and I are having the full Beacon Burger with onion rings.“
“Came here in a windy and a bit cold day. We sat in the outside patio. It is right on the river and view is unbeatable. And yes it is winter Columbia Gorge where you expect to see the high wind. The restaurant tried to keep guest comfy by providing patio cover and heaters. The service was a bit slow due to lack of servers (apparently). Food was ok. Nothing specially but typical American foods. Pricewise, it is about $20-$30 with tip included.Free parking.“
“The food here is amazing. The lemon pepper wings and smoked nachos are delicious. But you can't go wrong with the burgers and pizza either...some of the best in town! A little pricey, but there are definitely ways to eat here without spending an arm and a leg because of the variety. Did I mention the view of the Columbia River?! Breathtaking.“
“My wife and I went there for the Valentines Special. The quality of the food was excellent, but the portions were small and overpriced. The service was amazing. It was a nice experience, but we both felt that we certainly didn’t get our money’s worth. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. He even offered to take our picture.“
“Excellent burgers, some of the best fries I've ever had as well as their soft serve ice cream will definitely keep me coming back to enjoy again. The drive up window attendant was a little rude but other than that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend stopping here if you're hungry and passing through... cheers to you guys!“
