“I ordered a combination dinner on my first visit, as I’ve been trying to find a great Chinese restaurant in the area. The chow mein was a bit different than what I expected, but the shrimp and fried rice were both very good.

I asked the waitress if I could swap the chow mein for additional fried rice since it wasn’t quite to my taste, and the staff was incredibly polite, understanding, and generous in accommodating my request. Their customer service really stood out, and I truly appreciated how they handled everything.

I would definitely come back again!“

“This review is based on our last few minutes paying the bill, everything else was top notch. Our group of 4 was chatting when our bills arrived and continued to visit, and our waiter came by to gather abit later and told him it was ready. At this time we Bagan to review our bills to pay one with a card and we were paying cash. As soon as I placed the cash in their bifold and placed on the table another waiter came to the table and stated being just like our waiter and dressed similarly. Worth noting she was about 110 5 foot or so with our waiter at 220 plus and 6ft or so wit a great beard. I stated that our waiter had much bigger feet and a great beard with my wife commenting about our matching hairlines... lol right. No next thing we get is she identifies as law enforcement and proceeds to walk away with an elevated voice "I'll kick beat you down" I turned left to my friend and sain now she wants to wrestle. At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. “Nice enough place... Almost like a bar you can bring your kids to? Not a lot of places to get a hot dog and they have a full menu of big Costco sized dogs for a not unreasonable amount of money. I had the burger on Texas toast and it came with fries for $13, however some of the hot dogs were $12-13 which is good if they came with fries but they don't, they come with chips, fries are 4 more dollars and are grocery store variety crinkle cuts... Not sure why the burger is cheaper than a hot dog... The burger was pretty good. My family seemed to enjoy their hot dogs. We had a couple beers that were good but not cheap by any means. It's not overpriced but the place has kind of a bargain feel, I think I would have liked it more it was like a "wow that was cheap experience". If you're gonna charge $12-13 for a hot dog include fries or maybe a 2 dollar upcharge 4 bucks is too much for a hand full of crinkle cuts. Lottery cheapens the place a bit and makes it feel more like a bar than it should. It's not a bad place.

“They changed their menu and switched over to an egg batter versus the former buttermilk batter. The buttermilk batter chicken tenders were amazing! They brought a sense of nostalgia when biting into the generously-cut, CRISPY, juicy chicken tenders. The buttermilk batter was what made the tenders soo delicious.
Now…they taste like any other place where I’ve had chicken tenders. They’re not bad, just not anywhere nearly as great as their former self. It was disappointing because the crispiness was no longer there, they reduced the portion size, removed most of the delicious dipping sauces but their worst move was switching to an egg batter. Go back to the old buttermilk batter recipe. This is what made Kickin chicken stand out as having the best tenders in Oregon.“

“EDIT WARNING: We have been back several times and I would recommend bringing your own water, the water here tastes like it has chemicals in it. Very odd and gross taste.

Food was delicious, just had the fondue and the cheesecake but we approved of both!

Went back and had the ribeye and filet mignon and calamari. Calamari was ok, the steaks were expensive but good not great. Vegetables were almost raw, and hard to eat. Peach lemonade was delicious.

Buffalo wings are a must try! I don't typically like buffalo wings and these are amazing! When they are using the bigger sizes, the smaller ones are not very good. Potato skins didnt have enough toppings.“

“We were there for a wedding reception in the top of the Power station but did go up all three floors of the main building. The walls are painted with murals and quotes everywhere. It is really cool to see and there is a map of the full acreage of the place. It has cool history and a great garden with paper bush plants blooming at the end of winter / early spring that provide a great fragrance 😍“

“We attended McMenamin’s Wassail Cider fest in January so we wanted to try more of their ciders and this is what popped up online. We got the cider flight and the red wine flight, both of which were really good. However, the wine flight they gave us 2 of the 4 glasses, then told us to come back to the back for the other 2, which was a bit weird and honestly I wasn’t a fan of. The service was also pretty lackluster, it was walk up service, which seems to be pretty common in the PNW so we’ve grown accustomed to it, but when its walk up service, I expect a little more when I do come to the bar to order. There were two employees, a blonde woman that I’d guess was in her 20s and a middle aged gentleman. The woman was very nice and enthusiastic and seemed eager to help, but the man seemed like he was doing everything he could to avoid serving guests; when I returned to the bar for the second half of our wine flight, he noticed me, but proceeded to drink water, pace around, look in the storage closet, take a step towards me, turn around, take his sweatshirt off, look around again, then finally came up. As a bartender myself, it seemed like all the things that someone does when they don’t want to help a guest, so they try to waste as much time as possible until another co-worker comes to help them. The vibe was pretty cool being in the basement with glass windows all around so you could see the wine barrels, but it was a bit too dark in my opinion, which made it seem kind of dingy being in the basement. I also wasn’t a fan that when you walk in, there are no signs or menus, just brochures advertising other McMenamin’s properties, and the bar is very small with standing room only and very crowded. It reminded me of a busy college bar where I had to fight through to order drinks, but in this case I had to do that just to see a menu, let alone order a drink; not exactly the experience I want from a tasting room. Overall though, it was still unique experience and I’m sure it would be really cool to stay on property, but I don’t think I’d go back.“

“This is always our Go-to place to eat in Estacada! the food is alway on point, no matter what you get. We love the Club Sandwiches and the Enchiladas!!! But like I said everything we've had is AMAZING 👏 I also love the recent addition of the Kids Game machines! This has been a huge plus when we go to dinner with our 5 kids. The staff are always so inviting and I never have to ask for more to drink. If you want great food, friendly staff and always quality fresh food then head to Old Mill!!! There are many events held here but it is absolutely worth a visit even if you don't plan to stay the night. Check out the wine cellar or espresso bar for some great local options, or head inside to the gift shop for some kitschy finds.“
