“This review is based on our last few minutes paying the bill, everything else was top notch. Our group of 4 was chatting when our bills arrived and continued to visit, and our waiter came by to gather abit later and told him it was ready. At this time we Bagan to review our bills to pay one with a card and we were paying cash. As soon as I placed the cash in their bifold and placed on the table another waiter came to the table and stated being just like our waiter and dressed similarly. Worth noting she was about 110 5 foot or so with our waiter at 220 plus and 6ft or so wit a great beard. I stated that our waiter had much bigger feet and a great beard with my wife commenting about our matching hairlines... lol right. No next thing we get is she identifies as law enforcement and proceeds to walk away with an elevated voice "I'll kick beat you down" I turned left to my friend and sain now she wants to wrestle. At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. “I ordered a combination dinner on my first visit, as I’ve been trying to find a great Chinese restaurant in the area. The chow mein was a bit different than what I expected, but the shrimp and fried rice were both very good.

I asked the waitress if I could swap the chow mein for additional fried rice since it wasn’t quite to my taste, and the staff was incredibly polite, understanding, and generous in accommodating my request. Their customer service really stood out, and I truly appreciated how they handled everything.

“Nice enough place... Almost like a bar you can bring your kids to? Not a lot of places to get a hot dog and they have a full menu of big Costco sized dogs for a not unreasonable amount of money. I had the burger on Texas toast and it came with fries for $13, however some of the hot dogs were $12-13 which is good if they came with fries but they don't, they come with chips, fries are 4 more dollars and are grocery store variety crinkle cuts... Not sure why the burger is cheaper than a hot dog... The burger was pretty good. My family seemed to enjoy their hot dogs. We had a couple beers that were good but not cheap by any means. It's not overpriced but the place has kind of a bargain feel, I think I would have liked it more it was like a "wow that was cheap experience". If you're gonna charge $12-13 for a hot dog include fries or maybe a 2 dollar upcharge 4 bucks is too much for a hand full of crinkle cuts. Lottery cheapens the place a bit and makes it feel more like a bar than it should. It's not a bad place.

“Fresh ingredients, good flavor, nice and speedy service! I am impressed and feel like I’ve been sleeping on them. My sandwich was LOADED with protein! Would definitely come back! Decent amount of seating for a small place.

Definitely recommend getting the cheesesteak with both peppers (sweet and spicy). Really elevates the taste 😌🫑🌶️

Even the bathrooms are very clean and smell like watermelon bubble gum 😝

“This is our local pub and the default place to grab drinks and dinner after a long week. There's always a great selection of local beers on draft, and the seasonal cocktails are a favorite. I often order the Blue Bayou salad, the Portland dip sandwich, or the Captain Neon burger, always with tots. Sadly the Scooby Snacks are no longer available here, so we'll occasionally travel to McMenamins locations further afield for those.
The staff are always friendly and helpful. If I have one criticism, it's that they often seem understaffed here, with one server to wait all the tables and tend bar. But ultimately it doesn't matter, I'll be going here until I die.“

“Granny’s has had such a noticeable glow-up under the new owners, and it shows in all the ways that matter.

The food is consistently delicious—fresh, satisfying, and exactly what you’re hoping for when you pull in. The prices feel fair (which is saying something these days), so it’s easy to stop by without a second thought.

The soft serve ice cream absolutely deserves a shout-out too—huge portions for the price. Just maybe don’t order the large if you’re going through the drive-thru… 😉

One of the biggest improvements is the drive-thru. What used to be a test of patience now moves quickly and efficiently, which has completely changed how often we stop in. Pair that with their location right next to the school, and it’s a lifesaver for busy parents trying to feed kids between pickups, drop-offs, and activities.

And on top of it all, the service is always warm and friendly.

Whatever the new owners are doing, it’s working. Granny’s feels refreshed, reliable, and very much worth the visit again.“
