“Delicious food. The kind of place that a week later your body will begin to crave eating there again and the cravings won’t stop until they’re satisfied with a return visit. Warning: your clothes and your hair will stink like grease and oil when you leave so don’t wear your fancy clothes to eat here because you’ll be on the hook for dry cleaning and in desperate need of a shower after your meal. You’ll definitely have to wash your hair to get the stink out. Worth it though.“

“My home away from home. I’ve worked in a lot of establishments as a host and as an employee at all levels. This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. As long as I have breath in my body and they will have me I will host a show here for my own sanity and well being. More places should pay attention to how these people do business on all ends. “We attended the 50 YEAR REUNION FOR SOUTH EUGENE HIGH SCHOOL.My husband Andy Young was in the class of 1975!! Its a nice place. Roomy and spacious for all the folks that were there!!! Staff was friendly, Bartenders made delicious strong drinks and it was the perfect place for the 1st night of a 3 day reunion!! Everybody was happy to see each other and we had a great time...Oh if you only knew the stories some of these people told about the golf club and the houses around there!! Lots of amazing memories and a beautiful view. PERFECT PLACE FOR A GATHERING!!“

“One of my favorite places to get lunch, their dishes are consistent, the food is fresh and delicious, and the staff are always friendly and nice. Service is quick, and the dining area is kept clean. Spicy Chicken Teriyaki is my favorite meal, but I like to get the Yumm sauce on the side because at times they can add a little too much to the servings. Great place.“

“We were there last night with a big group, and the place was packed. Brandon who I think might be a manager? Not sure. He told us there would be a wait but we’re working hard to fill our groups order. True to his word they worked so hard for everyone’s food. Our meals came out sooner than expected. “I own Iron Heart Tattoo in down town Eugene and I have to say, this restaurant is absolutely amazing. Ive been in a lot of cafe yumm locations and this is my favorite. I feel I need to give shout outs to at least two of the employees that always stick out to me when I come in. One is the manager, as he seems to have the respect of his crew and for a good reason, and another employee named Hannah who is always on point and extremely nice to everyone.“

“We were so excited to get a Grill close by. They seldom disappoint and always make it right. Their staff is attentive and conscientious. I've got a go to for morning/brunch and it's always perfect, 2 eggs over medium and 2 sausage patties. Sounds lame but you can judge a cook based on their tough with these two items. Always perfect. “Wow! Never have I ever had such an incredible dining experience in my life. There I was: having the worst day of my life: I was told I only have one day left before going to prison because apparently I had committed “tax Freud”. I knew my last dinner before a life of incarceration must be at the University of Oregon GSH Fredhmarket Cafe. The employee by the name of Anna was so helpful, and even listened to me as I complained about my upcoming inprisonment. After eating my sandwich and talking with Anna I now face the bars of prison with welcome arms.“

We started with a Last Word Sour, and it was one of best cocktails I have ever had. The burrata, heirloom tomato, and nasturtium tartine was exponentially more flavorful than we imagined, as was every other dish that followed. The dish with panisse was delicious and well-balanced, the tomato sauce on the rigatoni was so bright and fresh, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. We finished our meal with a lemon semi-freddo, and it was combined with a corn-based crumble that was shockingly delicious. Thank you, Lion & Owl for a memorable meal!! 10/10!!“

Laughing Planet was a winner.

The young man that waited on us was super kind and greeted us with a big smile.

I had the Thai Bowl with jasmine rice. My hubby had the Harvest Bowl. We also shared a bowl of vegan chili soup. All were made to perfection!!

Inside and outside dining areas. We sat outside. It was pleasant.

“My husband and I took friends to the Sunday brunch Sept 8 to celebrate their 62nd anniversary. I had been there with my sisters about a month ago and was pleased with most everything. I made 10:00 reservations. We got there a little early so the waiter asked us to sit down and they’d be with us shortly. After about a 12 minute wait the same waiter came up to us and asked if we had been helped. I said yes we were waiting for you to seat us. He had forgotten us. We ordered coffee from a waitress. Twenty minutes later and no coffee we grabbed another waitress and asked her to get us coffee. Instead of being offered refills on coffee we had to ask for it. Needless to say we were very disappointed in the service. On the other hand the food was very good. Unfortunately good food alone does not make the best experience. Don’t know if we’ll be back. All but the service was great. 😓“

With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. Son had a grilled chicken club with parmesagn garlic fries. Another win! We all drank their homemade ginger ale and root beer.“

But the most wonderful thing about this gem of a restaurant, is the food. Clearly Chef Chad loves food. You can taste it in every bite. He is skilled in creating scrumptious flavors and unbeatable meals. Can't wait to go back! and don't hesitate to order pie and ice cream to round out your meal. “I came into the Jackalope Lounge tonight after hearing they're the latest serving place in the immediate area.

I will say I came in with an open mind of dive food, but boy was I wrong. The bartender pointed me in the direction of the Sante Fe burger with potato salad, assuring me it was on point.

My goodness my expectations were blown out of the water, the bread, the cook on the burger, the sauce, that recipe for the potato salad, and the icing on top...... the presentation of it all.

The team this night were absolutely killer, and I will be back as a regular and I will be recommending this place to everyone I know looking for the best food/drink in the area.

The waitress was friendly, but when I asked for a refill on my soda, she never mentioned that they charge full price for a refill of soda. If knew, I wouldn't have asked for another. Please let customers know so they know what to expect on the bill. Other than that, I was happy with my visit.

I didn't know what to expect but was very impressed at the on duty manager this evening and the wait staff both- we will definitely make the stop again to dine in house soon. “McMenamins in Eugene is located by the Williamette River and it’s such a beautiful place, both indoors and outdoors. The patio in summer time by the river is just magical.
The food is definitely superb, the drinks are fantastic… everything about this place is out of this world.
This is my go-to place every time I’m in Eugene.“

“I had the cinnamon waffles and the wife had the shrin and cod basket. My pancakes came out looking exactly like the photo. Tasted better than I thought and didn't need the syrup. My wife said that the food was delicious, and everything came out crispy. Its a pretty big basket too. I subbed my eggs for fruit which came out looking and tasting fresh. You can tell by the bananas weren't brown at all.
