They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and well taken care of. The restaurant is cute and the sushi is some of the best I’ve had for such excellent prices. “Yesterday was my first time at Sushi Pure. I was astonished by the miso soup. It has to be one of the best in town. The cucumber salad was also so refreshing and flavorful. But my favorite part was the Sunshine Roll, because it had some kind of fish that melted in your mouth like butter. It was extremely delicious! Would definitely eat here every week if possible.“

Useful information: There are no twiddling thumbs, if it's taking time for your meal to come you can see why, they are that good. Layout is partially open but even from the door I could see the chef in the back hard at work and still communicating. Of the three times in the last couple years I have been each menu item has consistently been temp as meant, good serving size, cleanly executed, and spot on in flavor. I believe I got a spicy fried chicken once and not a single soggy piece, tender and crisp- it came and stayed predominantly piping hot through my meal. If sushi could melt in your mouth this is the only place that has occured for me. My cinnamon butter mochi cake was freshly made, had tastefully crisp edges, a nice bounce and the cream on top was so well whipped it looked like an over indulgence at first but it matched what I needed for every bite. It is was easy before price hikes for an individual to spend +$30 here but with the quality of execution, ingredients and uniqueness of the dishes it is worth the price and they have been relatively consistent against the changes in the past several years.

Bottom line: Sitting in the front watching chefs do the technical and precise work of making your sushi, the nigiri coming out the same shape and form, the even cuts of each piece was very centering to watch after going through a rough time and that's why I've written this, eating here woke me up from a daze. There have been many japanese restaurants that have come and stayed in Eugene from Shiki, Meiji, to Pure, until you can top it, Akira has been the best.“

“We went here despite a bad yelp rating since Sushi Pure was closed. We were both shocked at how good it was seeing the rating! Our server was so sweet, she matched our glasses to the bottle of sake and even left a cute smiley face on our receipt. She was a gem. The food was great for the price. Was it the best sushi I've ever had? No. Does it deserve a low rating on yelp? Absolutely not!!! Food came out fast and tasty and the service was impeccable. Highly recommended for a casual sushi lunch.“

“Seriously. So. Good! I have been wanting to try this cart for a while, the photos always look delicious. Well I can now confirm, it’s even better than in looks. We ordered via Grubhub for delivery. It arrived quickly and the hot items were nice and hot. I really wanted to try a few things so we got the miso soup, the seared salmon sushi balls(YUM!), a salmon sushi donut, the golden shrimp bowl (extra YUM!) and the salmon bowl. Everything was so fresh, the portions were great and everything was so flavorful and delicious. We are stuffed and satisfied and we will definitely be ordering again soon! 10/10“

“Very nice, food and service is fantastic! I have driven past this place for years without considering to eat here! Today I decided to give them a try! I expected a run of the mill restaurant, I was blown away at how nice this place is! Everything from the table to the restroom is very fancy and clean, and the food was just amazing! The outside look of the building is deceptive, the inside is a pleasant surprise! Will be going back often!“

“Although the food was pretty good, she declined to accept my $50 gift card stating they are only good for one year, when in fact Oregon law states gift cards have no expiration in Oregon. I would have used it sooner, but I ended up with Cancer and was unable to use it. Also nowhere does it state on the receipt or card there is an expiration. The hostess was so kind and actually said she would ask the owner where the original payment went, she called me moments after leaving and said she was told "they just keep the money" I would not recommend purchasing gift cards from this establishment“

“The very original dishes this place serves are created by someone with fantastic taste. When I order something, I want it exactly as it is served, right down to the amount of dressing included.

I recommend the miso butter salmon plate. The salad compliments the entree perfectly. Onigiri is a great addition, but the main meal is plenty of food for most.“

“My brother and I love coming in on a regular basis. We ride our bikes there and lock them up outside. We have a certain table that gives us a good view of our bikes. Bonus for Eugene. The service is always prompt and genuinely friendly and attentive. My favorite roll is the Black Widow. Its a Spider roll that is a culinary masterpiece...wow its that good. My brother likes the Chicken Bento very very much. See you soon!!“
