“The best Hawaiian food I've had in Portland! Their spicy tuna poke and fried chicken are excellent. They have great sauces too! The customer service is always fast and good, and the food comes out fast! The area has gotten more sketchy lately, I wish in was in a safer neighborhood, but food and service are the best in town for Hawaiian food!“

“A real gem in the university district! Having been to Hawaii and eaten authentic plate lunch I can assure you the other reviews are incorrect. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The food is prepared well, tastes excellent and is priced very reasonably for the large portions. Something hard to find in the area. Another rarity is the owners take the time to get to know their customers. You can expect to be asked if you want "the usual" if you dine more than a few times. It is refreshing to see hard working small business owners still making it work.“

“I was looking for a place to pick up an onigiri in the morning from time to time, and this place opens at 9am which is great! Really cute shop, they have taiyaki, musubi, and a nice variety of onigiri, and it is affordable and exactly what you want. There is really nothing quite like this in the Portland area...its a little treasure. The staff are so friendly, i will be sure to recommend this place to all my passengers, friends, and family!“

“Delicious! We were having some drinks at the tavern around the corner and decided to grab some takeout. After much deliberation, we decided to try Roxy’s, and it was the right decision! “We had our Company Christmas party at Ohanna Hawaiian Cafe and everyone that worked there was so gracious and helpful. We had a mix of ages and everyone found something to their liking on their menu. The food is fresh, delicious and huge servings. I had the Kahlúa pork with mac salad and white rice. “Love eating here. The place is almost baron as far as walls and looking filled up with decor and such. You get a to go box which did not bother me at all . The portions were good not having to leave hungry. Bathrooms were clean and the condiments as far as topping off the rice and meat were plentiful. Always like Hawaiian times simple but easy in easy out vibe. Not a long wait at all. Ordered and within 5 mins eating. Oh and their macaroni salad is on point everytime smashing your mouth with their own way peppered to perfection. Worth the stop I would definitely return in and through out my travels.“

“5 stars because I had a great time, food was amazing and cheap, and I just love a neighborhood dive where I can chill out and get a big fat tiki cocktail. I’ll be back for sure.

I do have to mention though, the service was quick but super rude. The bartender the night we visited a couple weeks back was easily of the least friendly bartenders I’ve ever had, which is saying something. Maybe she was just having an off night. I’m in the industry myself so I totally understand that not every day is your best shift, but my friends and I felt like we were offending her just by being in her presence. It was hard to feel totally comfortable there because of it. She still got 20% because it’s my personal law to never skimp on a tip, but it hurt to leave the cash, I’m not gonna lie.“

“Teriyaki chicken, macaroni salad, white rice, and a couple extra teriyaki sauces - I salivate just thinking about it. It's really that good. It's perfection. It's so good that I've never even ordered anything else from their menu.

It's not that I'm worried that another dish won't be any good. It's that I don't want to miss out on a dish that I enjoy so much. I eat Roxy's maybe 6 times a year, so the teriyaki chicken never sounds like an F'd out choice.“
