“I have always been more than happy with the special #2. The portion sizes are huge and I love it. Id prefer less sweet and sour sauce in the box when you order it to go, but it seems like theres always a relatively equal mix of fully sauced chicken pieces and some only about half. So you can elect to drown your chicken in more of the delicious sauce or eat a half doused ones as is. The chow mein is perfect. Pork fried rice is a great addition that lets you enjoy rice with some appreciated flavor. I originally didnt like the crab puffs but they grew on me quickly.

Ive seen some complain that the outside needs more cleaning or that the environment needs some adjustment. I think the concerns of the outside are fair enough, but Ive never felt the place was unclean. If anything, I take small town restaurants with dated exteriors but fine interiors as a sign of the truly good stuff. And my experience with Jade terrace has basically just been that: the good stuff.

“Detail oriented and the same it's always been. I honestly don't think that Mendi's has changed in 20 years. Is a dining room refresh need attention sure, but keep the atmosphere, vibe and family oriented service. The pizza does take time to bake and it's not fast. However each and everytime I get it the taste is amazingly consistant, fresh and fairly priced. With the cost of everything that is going up Mendi's has done there best to stay competitive and still maintained a quality product. The chicken wings are great and Jo Jo's are great additions to your pizza order.“

Coffee and bake goods are the best in town, parking is the most convenient, and waits are short.“

“It is hard to find good breakfast in this area and Cafe 22 hits the spot. I love their peaches, the pancake thickness isnt overly cakey and hard to swallow. The bacon is thick and cooked just right. The raspberry jam is real raspberry jam. The water mentioned in the another review is because they are on a well so it does taste little bit more tinnish, a lemon wedge in my water cured that. Stopped by the fruit stand for fresh strawberries, on the spendy side, but oh the flavor, absolutely nothing beats an Oregon strawberry. Had I known they did strawberry short cake, I woulda skipped the breakfast and went straight to the fruit stand.“

Rita’s Taco Truck is phenomenal, my mouth is watering just thinking about their food, Able and his mom are a DREAM TEAM. Only reason I didn’t give five stars across the board is because the smoking area is rather large and the smell can be smelled inside.“

“Where to begin? The location looks great, and it has a good vibe to it. The customer service is top notch, my server was very nice and even put some special attention with a message on our anniversary order bag (very sweet!).

Now the food. The flavor on the beef ramen is fantastic. The beef is tender, the noodles are cooked perfectly and all the veggies tasted fresh. The Takoyaki here has to be some of the best in Salem. I also tried the fried chicken bun for the first time, great flavor, soft bun and crispy chicken in the middle.

My wife ordered the chicken stir fry ramen, fresh veggies, fried chicken all tasted amazing.

“Our visit to Eola Hills was not just a great wine experience, the people there from Tom to Brett to Steve were just awesome to connect with and a joy to spend a day with. “I am a Dutch Bros fan. I absolutely love their coffee and have been drinking it for well over 22 years now. I frequent many of the shops but West Salem location more than others. The coffee is nearly always made perfectly and for a very limited exception, the baristas are all extremely warm and provide great service. I highly recommend Dutch Bros and this stand just another in a long line of great locations.“

“We had dinner here on a late Sunday in Sept 25. We were able to sit outside as it was still warm. No one else was outside so we had the whole porch. Our server was tremendous. She worked with the kitchen to help customize our order. The food was great. The old house is an attraction in itself.“

They have these new string fries and those are really flavorful if you enjoy garlic you’re in for a treat.“

“I’d like to take a few minutes to talk about this store. It’s been my home Starbucks since before it moved to this location and I’ve met many of the KINDEST and most Amazing baristas here. I’ve mourned their loss as they’ve moved on in life and have rejoiced with them over their triumphs. I wish they were all at my new store in Kentucky when I move. Alana, Alaena, Bailey, Carter, Mari, Michael, Heather, Steven, Delaney and so many more. So many wonderful kids have passed through these doors. I’m so sad to leave this store behind and that I have to choose a new store and a new set of partners when I stop in for my drinks.
As I was preparing to write this I saw a review by Bridgette Wood and was actually shocked. There’s no way she’s talking about the person I know. Alaena always has a kind word and smile for everyone. She greets people by name as they come in. Like anyone she does get busy but I’ve never seen her be rude. I’ve only had issues with TWO baristas that have entered and exited this store and they were for the most part dealt with.
