“Phenomenal food. Great ambience. Incredible team. Inspiring story starting with chef Juan that expands into locally-sourced food, seasonality, and supporting women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ producers. It's also not as common to find a tasting menu inspired by Mexican roots, but this was one of the best meals I've enjoyed on the west coast. If you think lobster and mole won't work, you're missing out. Highly recommend!“

“My wife and I come here for special occasions and last night we celebrated her birthday! As always, the service was excellent, food was impeccable, atmosphere was cozy, and a very enjoyable experience. It is a small place which only adds to the intimacy of service and atmosphere. The owner is a great guy who is very knowledgeable in all his dishes and wines which were incredible as well! We love C'est Si Bon and will continue to come here everytime we want to celebrate something at a special place!“

“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.“

“We came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was packed. My wife warned me that people had mentioned it was very loud inside and that was an understatement. There was a large group sitting next to us in the corner of about six or seven people. We didn’t realize until after they had left how incredibly loud they were. I feel like the acoustics of the restaurant really distract from the experience, especially if it is busy. Service was outstanding, the food was good. I think if the restaurant can work on the acoustics a little bit in the corners of the dining area it would really improve the experience. we started with the ham plate for an appetizer, I had the butter lettuce salad, both were excellent. For our entrée, we tried the gnocchi and the steak. The gnocchi was unique and appeared to be fried lightly. It was one of our favorite dishes. The steak was very good. The frites were also good as well with the steak. The wine choices were reasonable. There was no French attitude.“

“What a wonderful experience tonight at Don's on a special occasion! We enjoyed the tradition and story-driven menu, the attentive service, and the cozy, inviting dining room. Each dish was outstanding, but the clam linguine, Meyer lemon granita, and sesame popovers were favorites. We made plans for our next visit before we even left the restaurant. Highly recommended!“

“I had a memorable dinner at Higgins Restaurant. I ordered their Oregon Mushroom Set Menu, and each dish reflected their respect for local ingredients. The wild mushroom bisque was particularly delicious, with a smooth texture and rich aroma. The waiter was very professional and attentive, explaining the background of each dish. The elegant yet relaxed atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely meal with friends or family.“

“I love this place! The menu changes frequently which means different things to try throughout the year. Cocktail and wine lists are a fun changes from the standards you see at most restaurants. It's worth noting for the sober or soberish crowd, that there are a couple of different NA beers and a handful of NA cocktails. I started with the NA Bees Knees (has a better name on the menu) and it was fantastic! It's an intimate atmosphere and popular place, so they do ask (politely) that you're at your table for a limited time. I believe it's about 2-2.5 hours. They need to as well...it's a great place to linger over fantastic food, drinks, and conversation.“

“Our party of 5 had such a wonderful experience here. The delicious 5 course French and Italian inspired meal was lovingly prepared by George. It was a true farm to table adventure. Rose provided some lovely wines to enhance the entire meal. Both George and Rose welcomed our family into their intimate restaurant as if we were family. We got to meet some of their wonderful children as well. It was truly a very special culinary treat.“

“French food is not normally the top on my list of dining choices, but I am really glad that I took a chance on this place. The food was excellent and cute whole in the wall very French atmosphere really rounded it all off. There is limited seating and a bit tight being a small bistro of sorts, but once you get settled in and relaxed, you forget forgive the close quarters by the very French décor and feeling once you start looking around at everything. Service was friendly there, but a bit awkward at no fault to the server since she was still relatively new there and apologized for it immediately. She was sincere and did her best throughout our dining experience. Ordered the open faced sandwich which was a shrimp smorbord and it was just amazing. So beautifully prepared with such care and presentation. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Also got the mussels, which were meaty and perfectly cooked in a light herb broth. This will be a must on my return to visit list when ever in Portland next and do recommend that you give it a try if so inclined. Bon Appétit!“

“Went for a late brunch and honestly everything slapped — the steak & eggs had this buttery richness without feeling heavy. Shared a couple of small plates and each one had some fun twist. Busy room, kinda loud, but the energy feels good rather than chaotic.“

“Haven't been in WAY too long. The food was delicious. We did almost every one of the ‘small' plates bc we couldn't choose. The tomato soup is to die for! Now we have to come back and try to hold ourselves back from those plates and get the steak frites and salad! Had a great bottle of wine. Service was great. Thank you!“

“Food was great. Our server was extremely friendly and inviting from the moment we sat down to after we left. The restaurant is quiet, cozy and beautifully decorated. We brought our kids and they even loved the food. I was just surprised how empty it was for a Saturday brunch. Would definitely go again and try their dinner menu.“

“I stopped by this wine tasting room while visiting from out of town and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. The space is so warm and inviting. It immediately felt like the kind of spot I’d be a regular at if I lived nearby. Cozy, charming, and perfect for a laid-back evening or a quiet date night.
The wine selection was fabulous. I tried a few different pours and loved what I tried. And the food was absolutely delicious without trying too hard.
What really made the experience special was the staff. They were so kind and attentive. Friendly in a genuine way, not just polite. It felt like they really wanted me to enjoy myself, and I did.
I truly wish I lived closer. This would be my go-to spot. Until next time!“

“Visiting from out of town and Wanted a late dinner with romantic vibes and this fit perfectly. tasty food. Got the steak frites and trout with salad and omg that salad -five stars! Pear apple daikon? Idk but I need the recipe pleaseee. The steak was well crusted that I ordered another and subbed the frites for salad because we needed more. Our server was great and putting in work all night so props to him! Drink was good they have a room in the back suitable for larger groups and a more quiet space. Only recommendation is music needs tuning because it was putting me to sleep lol“

Their bakery has suppled us with many welcomed hostess or celebration gifts (oh, those macarons!) over the years. The staff is excellent as well (hi, Cory, thanks again!). Highly recommended.“
