“I have been at Riccardo's twice for lunch in the pass month. The food, and service are superb. I wanted to tell Riccardo in person what a wonderful Ristorante that he has, but he had already left. Thank you.“

“From the host Aria, bartender Josh, to our server Sandra, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We feel understood, welcomed, and supported. We went in with a group of 7, from 3 to 80 year olds. All the food items were delicious! And the environment was very pleasant, too.“

“Tucci has a vast menu with options galore and reasonable prices. The service has always been excellent. They have a policy of no corkage fee so bring a bottle of wine with you! The only downside is the restaurant can be quite noisy, so be aware.“

“Very cute cafe with super lovely workers. They know their regulars by name & make an amazing coffee (as someone who doesn't drink coffee very often because it tends to be hit or miss). I would definitely recommend the latte caramelo. Thank you for a lovely experience <3“

“Umm... I wanted to rave on and on about the pizza, then the pork meatballs, then the Spag (with meatballs)..but something else struck me that is even more important. Some place finally, THIS PLACE knows how to do wings on the west coast! How did it take this long? Oh my God! I took my chances and those are the wings I've been waiting for. Very impressed!“

“Their shrimp pasta is DIVINE! It's so flavorful and they're quite generous with the amount of shrimp too. I like how they don't take reservations because it just means you're guaranteed a spot if you're there right when they open up.“

“Craving something new we tried Lilla last night and was not disappointed. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. The tone was set once our server Amanda came over. Asking for recommendations she quickly gave as some choices from all around the menu. We tried the Eggplant Tower, Summer Salad, Carbonara and Potato Leek Pizza. The portions were generous and we loved each of them making it hard to choose a favorite but wanting come back soon to try the other offerings. We finished with the orange olive oil cake and some lattes made by our server. The food was great but Amanda made it such a amazing experience. We will be back.“

“Oh wow. I read reviews about this place online so we made a visit when we first arrived in Portland tonight. There was only seating at the bar and that was fine as it was last minute and this place was booked up. The service was great, the drinks just perfect and the food - excellent! My husband was skeptical at first but the more he ate, the happier he was! The heirloom tomato dish with one of the foccacias is a must! We combined the prawns with a tagliatelle- delicious. The cocktails were well crafted and tasty. We will be back!“

“Mucca Osteria came highly recommended by a friend. The restaurant is indeed elegant and has a very intimate feel to it. The food was incredibly delicious. My family ordered scallops as an appetizer and all of us agreed they were among the best we've ever tasted. Our server Jenny was supremely knowledgeable about each entree and appropriate wine pairing for each of our meals. My son ordered octopus which he enjoyed immensely. The dessert they served as a birthday celebration was especially memorable. Thank you for a lovely dining experience.“

“Fresh, high quality food. My wife LOVED the fried goat cheese and I thoroughly enjoyed every last bite of my speck, even after sharing two appetizers and the autumn salad. Portions were generous. We had a lovely two top next to the outdoor fireplace. Staff was professional and helpful. Only downside is the location right on busy Vaughn, but the outdoor seating is thoughtfully organized to feel warm and secluded.“

“Charming ambiance, phenomenal meal, and excellent service. Thank you Abigail for waiting on us. I regret it's taken us so long to find our way back here. Still as great as it was a few years ago. That's a testament to a great owner and team. We really enjoyed the bruschetta appetizer, creative mocktails, the king salmon and Dungeness crab pasta specials, and the best tiramisu in all of Portland! See you again soon!“

“This is my favorite restaurant in Portland. I finally went into the restaurant after hearing about it for so long and every single time I’ve been here, I’ve had the most exquisite food with ample portions and the most satiating flavors of Italian food and wine that you could get in Portland. It is comfort food at its finest with the best local ingredients and everything is off The chart delicious. I’ve had the pizza, I’ve had pasta, and I’ve had steak twice. Everything is delicious and I can’t get enough of it. The decanting of the wine, the sides to the bread with olives and oil/vinegar. Every single thing I eat, seems to be at the highest level of ingredients with a lot of attention to detail put into everything. The vibe of the place with the uplifting atmosphere, the decor and the righteously amazing vibes of Chrissie the head bartender…makes me keep coming back for birthdays and special occasions. I actually don’t eat out very much with fast food or takeout because I save my money for this place. I can spend $20 at Taco Bell or I could spend $20 here and usually go home very full with leftovers. Chrissie can make the most delicious concoctions and she literally looks like she’s creating something magical when she comes up with something new. Her cocktails are on point yet she’s always innovating her craft. Attention to detail for every single drink. The best recommendations for what they have that night. She informed me that they bake their bread fresh every day. Foods are sourced locally and every single dish makes me want more. I’m trying to get some variety in what I order yet. The steak does it for me every time. The pizza is the best I’ve had in town and sooooo good. I’m very picky about pizza as it’s my favorite food yet this crust and the delicious cheese and greens and everything they put into their pizza is so tasty. The flavor of every single thing I have eaten makes me want to have it again and again and again. If the Italians that I know in my community, make this a regular spot, then I also know it’s good! It’s authentic righteously on point delicious food every single time I go. All my people come with me to this restaurant for special occasions. Do yourself a favor and visit Cibo! If somebody’s coming in from out of town… Take them to Cibo! To celebrate my children’s accomplishments, I take them to Cibo! I already have two reservation reservations for the first week of January and I went there last night. It’s this good! A lot of people post pictures of the food there and I’ve had every dish that I’ve seen online… But what means the most to me about this place is the whole experience of bringing My special people here to experience, uplifting vibes, delicious and exquisite food, the most incredible drinks, and an atmosphere that takes us out of our daily life and gives us such joy and pleasure to experience. Seriously. Just eat here once and you’ll know.“

“The server was really great. I didn’t catch his name, but he was super helpful. He told me I could mix Alfredo and pesto sauce and I wish more restaurants would offer that. Especially love their pesto - it’s super garlicky in a great way. Brought my newborn and we sat inside - he quickly took a nap.“

“My partner and I had dinner with our new frinds last night. I recommended this restaurant because it's clean, the staff is always friendly, and their food is good. I ordered the shortribs and I thought it was a bit too garlicky this time. I LOVE garlic, but it had the bitterness taste of raw garlic. The beef was tender and tasted good as I remebered. Our server was very friendly and patient― He tried not to interrupt our conversation. decarli is hands down one of our favorite restaurants in Portland.“

“So I get so tired of going to places where I have to yell to be heard across the table. Both the Grand Amari and the Little Bitter Bar allowed for actual conversation. On top of it, had great service and the food was amazing. Wine selection was great - had a delicious Barbera. Tried the gnocchi and my socks were blown off. Sole was so delicious! All 4 of us in our party will be back!“

“I think a couple weeks to the menu would be needed. We noticed the same garnish with caviar on both hot and cold dishes. The caviar on the hot pork chop wasn't very pleasing. The pork chop definitely needed a pineapple salsa or sauce with it to cut through the fattiness of the chop and grits.“

“This spot delivered a classic, comforting Italian-American dining experience. The meal began with warm, buttery garlic bread and a hearty vegetable soup full of rustic flavor. The fettuccine Alfredo was creamy, rich, and generously portioned—simple but satisfying. For dessert, both the tiramisu and cannoli were delightful finishes, with the tiramisu offering a balanced coffee and cocoa profile, and the cannoli adding a fun crunch with a pistachio-dusted shell and sweet ricotta filling. The whole experience felt like a cozy trip to a vintage Italian kitchen.“

“Long live Ooh Pasta! I got the #4 peanut sauce dish and my husband got the #1 clam dish, both were 10/10! Fresh, perfectly cooked ingredients, the most delicious sauces made fresh to order, and big portions for the price. We used to come here often when we lived in the area, moved out of state many years ago but still have to come eat here whenever we’re in town!“

“The food is really good and everything is well priced, but the service is non-existent. The one female bartender seemed irritated with us when we walked in. We sat at a table and ordered the food from the QR code. We also got our own water which I'm fine with. But other than bringing over the one n/a drink I ordered, neither bartender checked on us or asked how our food was. We got two salads and two sandwiches so plenty of time to check on us. The only interaction we had was with the male bartender who waa much nicer and brought our sandwiches, but still never checked in. When you close your check on your phone it defaults to 25%. For what? Why would I leave 25% for someone who didn't even speak with me and when Imt doing pretty much half the work myself? 25% is a full service restaurant gratuity and honestly If they interacted with us even a little bit I would have been fine with that. The kitchen staff brought our first food round out and they were very nice. We came in on a Friday night and it was pretty empty, (us at a table and a couple people at the bar), so it is not like they were too busy to engage. I have been here once before and it was a much better experience so not writing this place off, but tonights experience was sub par. Food was bomb though.“

“Staged a good-sized wine dinner in the private room (34 people). Fantastic food & service, even with a full restaurant on a busy Sunday night. Michael and his team do a wonderful job- all the dishes were beautiful, inventive, and delicious. Don't sleep on the "Olive Oil Cake" for dessert- your taste-buds and waistband will thank you.“

“Portland has great restaurants. Grassa does not disappoint. We ordered the chopped salad, fusilli alla vodka, rigatoni and meatballs. The fusilli had a nice kick to the sauce that was delightful. The rigatoni with pork was like your nanna used to make. The pasta was perfect and the meatballs are a must have. You would have to go the north end of Boston, or New York to get such a fine Italian meal. I wish they would open one in Seattle.“

“Tiny little hole in the wall that offers far more than I expected. I dropped in for a quick bite. I ordered the BBQ chicken calzone. It was absolutely delicious. Far better than I anticipated, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend.
This is more of a take out facility, as they only have three chairs and a short bar style table for seating.“
“I took my vegetarian significant other to Dame for his birthday and our first March dining experience. Everything was so delicious and the dining month value was good. To get the same thing a la carte would have cost $10 or so more. The food is locally sourced so seasonal dishes. My squid ink pasta was so tasty with a slight kick. And my SO wanted to “take a bucket of the salad home.” Highly recommended“

“I had one of the best dishes that I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. Upon the waitresses enthusiastic recommendation (she seemed really excited about it) I went with the Boscaiola with pasta instead of ravioli. Every bite I took I closed my eyes to just enjoy the explosion of flavors. Hands down best food ever. Highly recommend but don’t forget your reservation!“
“I had to say I was very sad to see Bollywood go in the neighborhood bc it was one of my FAVORITES, but I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Maglia Rosa since the same chef was reinventing the space. We finally had a chance to dine there Friday night with a bunch of girlfriends and it was DELICIOUS. We tried almost every salad on the menu (beet/avocado/cucumber, chopped salad, and the Raddichio, all were yummy, perfectly dressed, fresh ingredients. For the main I ordered the cavatelli with beef ragu, was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, the pasta was perfectly cooked. We shared the fresh corn fritelle (corn fritters) that came with the yummiest peach chutney which felt like a nice nod to Bollywood:) For dessert I had the sorbet of the day (peach, yum!). I can't wait to come back and try some other things, I've heard the crespelle fiorentina is a favorite. I will also be back for some quick to go meals that come in handy during the busy week, and they have a lovely wine selection. They even let you taste some wines when you order your dinner. It's a bit funky ordering at the counter but that was how Bollywood was before, and it actually works, and the staff took note when the line was getting long, to add another person taking orders. Once we were at our table, several different servers checked in on us regularly and we could order additional drinks and our dessert without standing back in line which was awesome. I also just love the vibe in side with nice lighting, tall ceilings and tables of various sizes depending on your group. They also great seating outside with a lovely patio and covered area with heat lamps. Great addition to the neighborhood.“

“Legitimately one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever experienced in the US. I have lived in Italy and my husband is Italian and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our dinner. The wine selection is varied and thoughtfully curated. We enjoyed a bottle of Sardinian Carignano which is a rare find in the states. The prices are more than reasonable. We had a lovely locally sourced steak that melted in the mouth for $32. Bread is homemade fresh TWICE daily and the meat and cheeses were top quality If you’re looking for AUTHENTIC Italian in Portland, look no further. Nero Gallo has it all; great food, prices, staff, atmosphere and we will most definitely be back.“

“Holy 5-alarm fire! I got the Fusiili ala Vodka, which I know is supposed to have some heat, but this one —- it’s like the cap fell off the jar of chili flakes! I still loved it - the pasta was perfectly cooked, the pork shoulder was bursting with great spices, but I was still facially sweating through the whole meal. We got their Caesar salad too, which was excellent, not too much dressing and just the right amount of anchovies. The real deal, and helped cool off my lips.
Grassa has their counter service food model down pat, and the meals come out fairly quick, fresh and hot, so thumbs up there. Service is up and down, depending on how slammed they are, but I give them a pass since they do do aLOT of takeout orders and are not meant to be table service. Love that they have beer, wine and some cocktails too.
This location works well for all the reasons stated above, but we often get our food to go — the ambiance here is not that great. Strip-mall -modern-meets industrial in a cold, cavernous space does not make you want to linger. No thanks.“
