On our way home we stopped at the local McDonald’s here in Milton-Freewater so the kids could get something to eat as I waited in the bus a staff member came out and asked if I would like something to eat. They said Busdriver’s eat for free. It’s not just the free food but they took the time to come out in the cold weather and brought me something to eat. “It can be tough to find a great latté in smaller towns. Not sure why, but I suppose ideals are different. Carte Coffee in a small-ish town, far exceeds any expectations. Absolutely phenomenal. The crew is SO kind. Josh, I presume the owner/manager, was working on a new product with fellow crew members and they all had equal input to the product. As well, they all clearly had a knowledge of ratios and the science behind coffee. Very rare to find.

The layout. The lighting. The bathroom lighting.

“Neat little Cafe with a fun theme and delicious coffee. My older kids said it was better than Starbucks so we ended up going twice! They even had a small fire truck in the parking lot. My littles loved the stuffed Dalmatian. Very sweet and helpful staff. They even give you a hot tamale with your hot coffee, too cute!

“We went to have breakfast this morning. I aways ordered there eggs Benedict it usually is very good. Today they were awful. I could only eat some if it. We told the person at the front desk and all she could say is I will tell the cook. I didn't get a sorry or anything. That breakfast was 17.99 and that's a lot and not be able to eat it. It will be a long time before I go back.“

“We had breakfast at Mama Monacelli's yesterday. We both got mochas (mine made with almond milk), breakfast, and a pastry each. I had a bagel breakfast sandwich and my husband got one on an English muffin. I had a cupcake (don't judge me for eating cupcakes for breakfast, it was our anniversary) and hubby got an apple crumb cake type goodie. Everything was delicious! And for me it was such a treat to know that everything in sight is gluten free! On top of that, the service was fast and very friendly. The employee at the counter was very helpful and patient while we took our time ordering (I'm not used to having so many choices!). It's not a large place, but there are several tables inside and a few out. Everything was cute and clean. My only regret is that we hadn't been in to try it sooner!“

“I am happy we still have a play ground, Everytime I have ever gone there with my grandkids, the play area has been clean, clean tables, nice place for kid to play when it rains and you want lunch, it's a nice little break, our food orders have been always what we asked for.. love our McDonalds of Walla Walla, WA.“
