“I want to thank the crew today! I drive a school bus and were in town for a game. On our way home we stopped at the local McDonald’s here in Milton-Freewater so the kids could get something to eat as I waited in the bus a staff member came out and asked if I would like something to eat. They said Busdriver’s eat for free. It’s not just the free food but they took the time to come out in the cold weather and brought me something to eat. “For anyone that takes coffee seriously, stop looking and just come to Carte! I’ve been enjoying Carte for a few years when I happen to be in town visiting (about twice yearly). But this time I noticed the coffee hit me different… like so good it almost made me cry! I’m a Portlander and it immediately tasted like home - like some of the best coffee in the world. I asked the barista what was different this time and it turns out they’re roasting their own beans now and doing a super rare process (I’ve only had at PushXPull in Portland). “Neat little Cafe with a fun theme and delicious coffee. My older kids said it was better than Starbucks so we ended up going twice! They even had a small fire truck in the parking lot. My littles loved the stuffed Dalmatian. Very sweet and helpful staff. They even give you a hot tamale with your hot coffee, too cute!

“One of the best places in town, the staff are always amazing and super friendly, this is my favorite place to go for coffee. One barista in particular, Sam, always goes above and beyond to make sure my coffee tastes amazing and she always engages in conversation with me.“

“Love their coffee.Completely dislike that their hours aren't what is posted online. They don't update them when they change over to winter hours and I have driven out there a few times when they are supposed to be 'open' and they aren't.“
