“My wife brought me here for my 70th birthday. She asked, "where would you like to go?" "Surprise me.", I told her. Oh my! My grandmother from Puebla, Mexico would have loved this place. The tortillas were fresh, Handmade! I ordered the Pozole. Oh so rich and fragrant and bustling with pork, hominy and a very wonderful broth. Did I mention the tortillas?? Oh Lord!! I plan to bring my three adult children here for my son's birthday. I plan to eat my way through the menu, over the course of the next year or so. I can see that there are many others who love this place. The entire time we were having dinner, there was a steady stream of people coming in for takeout. Yep, this is a gem of a restaurant. Come enjoy.”

I could get a cup of coffee anywhere but this shop has become more than just great food and drinks - it’s a place for neighbors to gather and the owners have fully invested themselves in our community. Love the breakfast sandwiches, my daily coffee and Friday evenings on their back lawn with a beer and friends!”

“This is my favorite pizza place, never had a bad experience. Even today, ordered a half n half pizza and got half correct and half cheese only (didn’t order that) they offered to get me a small of what I did order to make up for the incorrect half and I got the small pizza plus my whole order redone! I don’t expect that to be the case on every error, but just another example why this place is the best and I’d rather have them on a bad day than any other pizza on their good days!”

“Mudd coffee is roasted locally by Marco (1/2 Pint Cafe), and Local Coffee makes a jazzy Nutella mocha that is soo sweet! Love it! The Mexican mocha is also delicious! Remember to use your Fred Meyer gas receipt for $1 off. --- frugal kugal”

“What a wonderful surprise! This restaurant was recommended by a family member, and we ended up making a reservation for our group of 12 for a birthday dinner. The service was outstanding from the first phone call all the way through to our server wrapping up our leftovers for us. The food was outstanding, generous portions, fresh beautiful vegetables, wonderful flavors. I would absolutely recommend them and hope to visit again next time we’re in the area!”

“A funny near not funny thing happened in Starbucks parking lot at this location. I parked my car in the lot across and over a bit from Starbucks. My husband and I got out of the car and started walking towards the door and after a few steps we both took a bit of a dive downwards as the slope was steep and was not obvious. It would have been bad if we didn’t catch ourselves because we could have done a face plant right into the asphalt! OUCH! But maybe someone else might not have been so lucky and might have completed a face plant. Why they didn’t even out the grading is a mystery to me! It’s an accident waiting to happen. BTW, our drinks were fine.”

“What an adorable hidden gem! Just off McLaughlin Boulevard, this cozy little bar is a must-visit. The bartenders are fantastic, serving up amazing drinks that hit the spot every time. Plus, the patio is a blast with a giant Jenga set—perfect for a fun, laid-back evening!”

“About 75% of the time they are really good here. Foods usually fresh. Once in a while tho Im disappointed.. my last visit I got a 3 piece tender meal and one out of the three pieces I got was smaller than my finger and the other two weren't much bigger. Wish I would have checked before I left but I feel like they didn't really use their heads on that order and maybe just threw an extra piece in to compensate for the small pieces. I only got a 3 piece meal cause usually that should have been enough to fill me up but I was still a bit hungry after that one. this has happened one other time I went to that location but usually isn't an issue for the most part. Gotta start checking my food before I leave now I guess 😮‍💨”

“Great place. Daily Poker tournaments, pretty good mix of age groups. Very open and handicap accessible. The servers are way chill and engaging. Really love what they've done with it after it being Dominics.”

“No exaggeration - THE BEST SOURDOUGH CRUST PIZZA. Some places say they have it, this place actually lets you taste it. It’s strong and punchy and I cannot wait to get more.

We had a very romantic albeit cozy dinner before a movie next door. We were lucky to score a table on a Saturday evening and have the most fun server! The special was super unique, featuring grilled peaches & prosciutto. We omitted the meat for my vegetarian husband, but next time, I’d recommend any vegetarian sub it for something salty to balance the sweetness.”

“Ooh la la! Spectacular. We started with perfect Oysters on the half shell, Oeufs in hand-whipped aioli (Wow, so simple and so good, like eating the calf in its own milk!), and the amazing chicken liver mousse (the fried brioche was a little rich and threatened to overpower the exquisite pate, but everything was great). Then les gros bonnets: Duck Confit on spinach and Halibut steamed in halibut stock with snap peas and white wine sauce. The cocktails and wine special were exquisite. The service was old school perfect and prompt. (Matthew missed nothing and taught us throughout). Wow. We loved everything.

“Great date night! We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here last night and every single thing we ordered was excellent. The wine/bubbles list is impressive also.”

“The servers here were kind and very attentive. BUT, my friend ordered a N.A. beer and she was brought an alcoholic one. She didn’t notice until she started to feel buzzed. Luckily she’s not years into sobriety, but that’s a pretty big mess up in my book. We also felt that the plates were a bit rushed considering that the reservation slot is for 2 hours.
The food was hit or miss for us. The soup, the pasta and the bourbon ice cream were phenomenal. The crepe and the cake were good. The tuna was meh.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves but both felt that we didn’t need to run out and tell people about the restaurant.”

“Lillia Comedor provided excellent food with wonderful inventive flair as to ingredients and sauces and overall food presentation. Service was both very efficient and very friendly/ pleasant without being overly intrusive. Portions from the Chef's menu were reasonable even for big eaters such as myself. We understood that the quality of the restaurant required a high level of expense vis a vis the quality of the food artistry and the ingredients used as well as the level of service. Thus we had no issues with the price points of the food. However, unless they manage some national write up's such as Kann, which has roughly same price level ( maybe even a little higher) has received I worry that the Portland dining population may not find it accessible given the large number of chef owned mid priced (entrees $25-35) restaurants, which not of quite the same quality are often quite good. So it would be a shame as Lillia Comedor is a gem worth the expense if one's budget can afford it.”

“One of the best meals we've had in Portland. Did not have any expectations going into it and were surprised at how good everything was. Had the crudo, plantains, steak frites and khao sai. One of the best things they do here is ask about allergies firs thing and then took our menus to the chef and had him mark down the entire menu with what we could and could not eat--wish every single restaurant did this. Definitely will be back.”

“It was my first time experiencing Silk Road, and I had reasonably elevated hopes, and I was not disappointed at all. I came in shortly after they opened as a solo diner at the bar. The staff was engaging and knowledgeable and just fun to be around. The first drink I had was the special called “sour senate” and it was balanced, damn tasty and refreshing. The salt and pepper calamari was in of the more flavorful squid dishes I’ve had in a minute. I finished off with some General Tso’s chicken and a more boozy drink called “trust the next drink” which as a great finish to a day off wandering around Portland. I will absolutely be coming back soon.”

“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. I also had a gift card that had a generous balance and I was so impressed with the service and food that I was embarrassed to use it so I paid out of my own pocket. Best tapas in Portland hands down! My partner usually is the one who picks places because I’m bad at it and he was also incredibly impressed with me and my choice to try Urdaneta!”

“Everything taste good, and Mhee Klug on the lunch menu was the highlights! Bote that the lunch menu is smaller than dinner. Out door seating was great for lunch time in May, the indoor had strong kitchen fume smell although decoration was cute.”
