Love the old school interior vibe that feels like stepping into a classic burger shop from the 70s or 80s, the no-frills menu, and their smashburgers are contenders for the best in Portland. The food was phenomenal and have us craving for more. We ordered the Smash burger and fries, it was perfect in every way. The bun tasted homemade and super fresh, the patty was cooked perfectly and super flavorful, the homemade pickles were better than any pickles we’ve had from any restaurant, and the monster sauce was the best sauces I’ve had for a “special sauce” mixture (which I normally despise). The fries are cooked to perfection (my wife said she has never had a better fry in her life) and the garlic aioli was delicious. There was no big line, our food was served super quick and was super fresh. This food cart should be picking up business really quick so come get one of Portland’s best smash burgers while you can before the lines start forming.“

At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. I accidentally ordered at the wrong location as I was on a busy day and did not double check which restaurant I was ordering at. “I've probably seen 100 shows (and played a couple myself) at Mississippi Studios over the 20+ years I've been in portand and the permutations the venue has seen. I'm not too sure how I've not reviewed it before.

This remains a highlight of Portland for me. It is right sized, where it can host both noteable (if not chart topping) ztouring acts or local heroes, while still being able to be 10 ft from the band. Sound is great so long as you find a good position in the room. I've seen contemporary classical to metal acts all shine here. It's a venue I will see a show in part because it's here, because I know the experience will largely be a good one.

Attached BarBar has solid fries and a good patio when you need fresh air, and additional bathrooms if there's a line in the venue.

Parking can be tough as Mississippi Ave is always bustling, but I've never ended up more than a few blocks away.“

“Best veggie burger of my life! Hands-down, they have the best veggie burger, and I consider myself an aficionado. It’s not the crap- filled, unhealthy version, the boring fart inducing version or the dry dusty crumbly version. It’s a beautiful, well crafted, superbly FLAVORFUL, house made veggie burger with vegetables and whole foods. The flavor has an adobo taste to it. Plus they put cheese on it! I love veggie burgers, but I’m not a vegan or vegetarian so this was just really cool. I would definitely come back here again soon.

We came here super late and all the car pods were closed about 10 minutes before they’re closing time. We were just about to scramble and find an alternative And saw that this car has their lights on. Atmosphere is a bit...odd. the video poker games in the corners makes it a bit strange and the clientele is fun, as a people watcher.

This would be a place definitely Guy Fieri would have on his Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives because of he great food and hitting two of the three Ds.

If you need a perfect atmosphere, this is not your place. If you like solid drive in food for a great value. This is an awesome stop.“
