“I've tried several other places around Portland for bahn mi, and while they've all been satisfying, these ones are legitimately the best I've had.
The ingredients are all so flavorful (I got the grilled lemongrass pork and the chili momi, highly recommend!) But they also fill the sandwiches very well. I was stuffed after having the Super Combo.
The staff were friendly, the food is delicious, service was quick, prices reasonable. I will absolutely be back!
FWIW, I went at 4pm on a Thursday. Traffic was getting heavy, but parking was plentiful. I would suffer the traffic for this place again.“

“Just visited this place for the first time today. This is without a doubt the best banh mi I’ve had since visiting Saigon two years ago. If I could rate this 10/5 stars I would. High recommend anyone try the egg banh mi and add the pâté.“

“Heard of this place thru friends and referral but did not get a chance to try their food until today. I’m very happy, impressed, and satisfied with the Special Sausage Egg Combo dish and Peach Tea drink this evening. Really love the generous portion in the box, the meat is so tender and so flavorful and the side veggie, pickle is so fresh. This dish is very common and can be found at any Vietnamese restaurant, but this place is definitely a step above. Recommended!“

“Saw a video of this place on Youtube. I'm a little skeptical of Youtuber's, but I'm always up to try new banh mi spots. Just sat in my car and ate 2. Great prices, they have a private parking lot, and incredibly friendly people. Def worth the drive from Seattle“

“I love all the food here! It's so authentic and delicious. You've gotta try the Phnom Pench noodles and xoi man (Vietnamese sticky rice). The service is friendly too. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. I just wish the restaurant was bigger.“

“Delicious Beef Pho with delicious tendon, tripe and steak. Also had beef salad rolls with *super fresh* mint, basil cilantro. And a chicken, shrimp, rice and vegetable dish that was excellent.
Lovely atmosphere. Only minus is stacks of recycled boxes and takeout-ware in the dining room.

“This place completely hits the spot. The pho here is consistently excellent. The soup arrives steaming hot, and the broth has that rich, aroma from that warms you straight to the soul. “We stopped here for a late lunch and really enjoyed the food. The crispy spring rolls were a yummy appetizer, and the sauce they came with tasted great. I ordered coconut curry with shrimp for my meal and really enjoyed it—a delicious flavor with just a hint of spice. My wife ordered pho and said it was delicious too.“

There was a party of 20 people yet we got served quickly. Bathroom was a bit unorganized. But overall clean.

“I had the pleasure of dining at Ka Te, Portland's very best Asian restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was especially impressed by the owner Eric, who was knowledgeable and passionate about the restaurant and the food they served.The food was absolutely amazing! I had the opportunity to try a variety of dishes and they were all incredibly delicious and authentic. The pho was especially good, and the broth was flavorful and just the right balance of spices. The spring rolls were also excellent, and the fish was cooked to perfection.I also had the chance to try the karaoke for the first time, and it was a great experience. Everyone was having a great time, and the atmosphere was very inviting.Overall, my experience at Ka Te was one of the best I've ever had. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect. I would highly recommend Ka Te to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable Vietnamese experience.“

“I been here twice had the turkey sandwich on slice bagel bread the 1st time and the 2nd time I had the tune on slice bagel bread and the mango tea. so far I love this place everything nice and clean and excellent customer service. I will be back.“

“Love the staff, food, and consistency of this place. Been coming here for years. Take the comments about poor customer service with a grain of salt, the guy at the front is professional. There’s a difference between someone being rude and someone being strictly business. Also bear in mind there’s cultural differences.“
