“This is a standard, Mexican restaurant on Main Street that is always open. Fast service. Nice hostesses. Plenty of room to sit on or do take out. They also have daily specials. The portions are large. The prices are reasonable and plenty of parking.“

The owner and server were super friendly and warm, the food was excellent- especially for the price- and the service was thoughtful and efficient. (paid with debit) The food was good but not hundreds of dollars good. not a happy customer. Update: Went in when they opened, told there was nobody that could do anything except maybe the manager when he is in, no answer as to when he would be in, just call and check if he is there then drop what I am doing to go there. For the record this is the 3rd time this exact thing has happened to me at the Corvallis location, makes me wonder how many people don't catch double charges from them........... Update: The manager finally talked with me and said he would refund the extra charges. How ever I get a new notice of duplicate charges. He did refund me one of the charges AFTER he charged my account AGAIN.“

“The food has the authentic taste I had been looking for. The facility is very bare bones. I have only ordered takeout; the customer service is just okay, depending on who is at the register. Food was ready on time when I called ahead. It seems to be a family-owned facility and I love that for them.

Their mapo tofu with no alterations is excellent, authentic flavor, good balance of spicy/numbing, proper rich, red hue, not too salty. I asked them to make it extra spicy and add extra sichuan peppercorns to balance, they simply dumped the extra pepper flakes and peppercorns on top, leaving the overall balance of the dish leaning bitter and under-seasoned.

The vegetable noodle soup is simply some greens, fried tofu cubes, and broth with noodles, not an abundunt variety of vegetables. The noodles were served in the same container as the soup for takeout, so expect them to become oversaturated if kept overnight.

The quicksand buns are delightful, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce was also pretty good. The mini pot is good as well.“

“Totally delicious! I came on a weekday, when it was quiet, but I hear it can get bustling on a weekend. Got the chilaquiles verde. So, so fresh, and the poached eggs were perfect! I tried both green and red hot sauces, both were delicious. Great bottomless coffee, and they were on top of the refills. And friendly service to boot. I will 100% be back!“

“I have been eating at Shaghai Wok every week since 2020. This is the best Chinese restaurant! Kevin runs this place by himself, and I definitely recommend talking to him and getting to know him. The fried rice is amazing and you should definitely try some of the more authentic Shanghai food from the non-Americanized menu. There are lots of vegetarian options too! My favorite is the hot-braised tofu!“

“I have passed by El Palenque hundreds of times but finally decided to stop in yesterday for lunch. They have delicious food and even better drinks! The Mango Tajin margarita was amazing. I highly recommend checking it out. We will definitely be back again soon!“

“Definitely worth it! The food was delicious, although a bit colder than I would have wanted. The spice level was on point and the pick up process was smooth. Sit-in options are also available but you might have to wait a bit if visiting during busier times.

Parking: There is a parking lot in the square but can be packed at times. Choose your time wisely.

Kid-friendliness: I visited at night so the restaurant was a bit loud, I wouldn't recommend for kids. I'm sure it's a bit more chill during the day.

“Nicely done traditional Chinese fare: outstanding winter comfort food. The Kung Pao and potstickers were really excellent.

Zoe and her team were incredibly kind, bending over backward to support the kids' birthday party we were attending. She even brought in extra decorations and offered to store our ice cream in their walk-in freezer. They were cheerful and enthusiastic about the typical kid mayhem (and had a private room for us, so as not to bother the other guests).

“This place is one of my favorite breweries in Oregon. Best Oat Stout maybe ever. Block 15 is Oregon Beer at its finest. Don't ever let anyone talk again on Oregon beer without bringing Block 15 up. More then just pine needle IPAs. This is real Oregon craft beer at its finest“

“8/4/2021 Best Chinese food in the valley hands down! We pickup a take-out order 3-4 times per month, sometimes more. HOWEVER, they seem to be slipping a little bit lately. The sweet n sour chicken was rock hard, literally crunchy. My Wife was shocked as it’s always good. Everyplace has an off day, hopefully this was a one time thing. Warning! Apparently they only add soy sauce in the “to-go” bags if you specifically ask for it. Bizarre! Who doesn’t use soy sauce on Chinese food. We love Queens Chopsticks. By far the best we’ve found in Corvallis/Philomath. Highly recommend. A little spendy, but worth every penny…most of time.“
