Got to the airport and through security 3 hours before my flight left. Had the fortune of being able to spend at least 2 of those hours at the PDX location - got the Mac and Cheese (so good)! And 3 beers and a really good Moscow Mule. The nice bearded man helped me (sorry I don’t remember the name!) and even chatted with me a little - which I appreciated as I was traveling solo since my wife was away working. Would go again if I’m in the D gates area!
If Henry's is the way to do an airport restaurant, Deschutes is how NOT to do it.Confused ordering system in the absence of servers. Order online but then they dont know what table the order is for.Drinks took forever to arrive, food when it did was really poor including a flatbread that was cremated beyond recognition and who can't execute a cheese sauce?Ok, so the salad was good and that rescued a star, but 5 prawns? I enjoyed the Pub Burger and three delicious IPAs for $34 in an airport restaurant 40' from my gate. The server with the beard is always friendly and attentive, and seems genuinely stoked to interact with customers from all over. This is my go-to hangout when flying Delta in D concourse at PDX, and I frequently arrive early to allow for beers. Recommend.
