“Great chill place to grab a drink with friends or first date, decent mix of free games to play, great drinks and the homemade cookies are fantastic. Mostly a 30s-50s crowds but folk in their 20s that come are pretty laid back so the vibe is never super loud and no drama. Most drinks are like $6 and the mugs/glasses are FULL ❤️‍🔥“

“Stopped by the Lancaster Dr. Taphouse on a Thursday night to catch TNF and sample a brew. First time visit, and they happened to have a band scheduled that night. Tried their 70 IBU citra hops IPA and liked it. Good and hoppy enough for this old hophead, with a crisp taste and a good mouth feel.

They serve pizza, but also have several food trucks onsite. I ordered from Adan's food truck 2-for-5 bucks pork tamales and boy, were they GOOD! Moist masa, tender carnitas, just perfect. His chile verde sauce was a great accompaniment with a nice kick to it. Almost bought more to take home with me.

The band set up and began playing at 7pm. 90s covers. Listening to live music is always a treat.
Definitely reccomend that you stop by Shades of Brew!

Parking: Parking is somewhat limited.

Kid-friendliness: This is a family-friendly venue but bring your own "happy bags" for them to keep them busy.“

“I went in there tonight to play the VP machines and at most places when you put up a sign there's a time limit on how long someone has to wait until they're able to play that machine. well this lady had her sign up for longer than the time that I had been in the establishment and admit it to playing the machine I was waiting for for longer than 2 hours and so there was no money in the machine so I took the sign off and I proceeded to put my money in because you know I was waiting for the machine and not only did the person working there team up and attack me for taking the sign down but her boyfriend and her boyfriend's friend also ganged up on me so I had four people just getting up on me in this place with them all being completely in the wrong including the person working there. It's their own rules that they have set in place. I followed their rule and i was treated as though i stole this person's money out of the machine. Don't have rules and signs stating certain things and not follow them. I DO NOT recommend ever going to Jade garden on Lancaster and off of Center Street. Not only do the people who are supposed to be in charge of keeping the rules intact are a bunch of tweakers but as well as the people that go in there are drug addicts drunks and there's no professionalism whatsoever. Very disgusted with this BUSINESS!“

“Westside is without question the best taphouse in Salem. Great variety of beers, ciders, and wines that skew PNW local. Almost always something new and unique to try. Small selection of cans & bottles to go. Friendly staff & nice atmosphere. Year round outdoor seating as well.

“I've been to this place many times. And the bartenders are always on it. As well as give genuine conversation and not scripted remarks. That alone can make a not so good place seem wonderful. As for li'l Sammies though, it has other amenities as well. Drinks made proper, good fried food as well as sandwiches, and a couple machines set away from the main gaming room if you want to socialize with friends at the bar while playing. Overall A+“

“The most special-occasion restaurant I patronize. Classy ambience, view, sharp personnel. As a senior dining alone I don't feel as comfortable here as I would at Josey's, say, otherwise I would patronize them weekly. I lunch only, and have had what I would call pub grub. Regulars who review on other forums report that the kitchen is capable of performing at a very high level. An exceptional venue for Salem and it deserves to live.“
