“My daughter and I tried their corn dogs, she got the original and I got the crispy, I have to say I really enjoyed it. Good beef sausage and mozzarella cheese stacked inside of a hand dipped planko honey batter. Yumm. My daughter said she wasn’t hungry but she sure ate the entire thing. Honestly though any place that hands you food service plastic gloves to eat your meal with is a win in my book, oh and our toddler loved it too! Bonus was reheating the chicken in our oven at home and broiling the snow cheese at the end. Got some crazy char and unlocked many new bonus levels of flavor. “We got the tasting menu and every course was delicious. The bacon was the standout favorite, but we loved everything. It was my husband's birthday and they brought him a scoop of cardamom ice cream with a candle in it, and that was fantastic too. How do you make mugwort whipped cream? “I was trying to go to Tomo Ramen next door, but they were slammed. I saw the sign for Mokdong and decided to give it a try. I ordered the gyoza, bacon kimbap, pork katsu, and mango hard tea. The food was so delicious that I only got a pic of my drink, and the portions were so generous that I had plenty of leftovers. All the dishes came with pickled veggies and dressed salads/ garnish. It might be the best pork katsu I’ve had in the city, and the employees were kind and attentive. Absolutely recommend, you may miss it by just walking by!“

“My husband and I have been going to Nak Won for almost 30 years. it has always been our family's favorite place for Korean food. And now it is our teenagers' favorite place to take their friends to introduce them to what Korean food should be like. Nak Won never disappoints.“

“When I visit Portland, I make a point of dining at the so‑called must‑try restaurants, but most of them end up being disappointing. However, this place—located on the second floor of a Korean market—is very simple yet surprisingly delicious. Whenever I go to G Mart to pick up sale items, I usually stop here for a meal.
The food here is much better than at Jeju, Hanok, or other Korean restaurants. Another advantage is that after finishing your meal, you can conveniently do your grocery shopping right downstairs. The prices are reasonable, and most of the menu items taste excellent. This is definitely a place I recommend.“

“I just visited JCD BBQ with a group of three friends, and we were absolutely blown away! From the moment we walked in, the place was spotless and inviting. The atmosphere is super clean and comfortable, which is always a huge plus for a K-BBQ spot.

​The food was outstanding—everything came out tasty, fresh, and incredibly filling. We left completely satisfied (and maybe a little too full!).

​But what really made the night special was the service. The staff were all exceptional, but I have to give a massive shout-out to Danny (Clark). He went absolutely above and beyond for our table. He was hilarious, kept the energy up, and made sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask.

They have complimentary egg flour soup which I am usually not a fan of but was quite good. The chef came out and chatted with us after we got our food. So friendly! My kiddo got ramen which he said was the best noodle texture he's ever had. I got fried rice with shrimp and they made it spicy for me. It was flavorful warm and a huge portion. I got a stainless steel mixing bowl and added fresh cabbage, bok choy, sprouts, mushrooms, chives, shrimp, surimi/crab, dumplings, beef, and corn flour noodles. The hostess asked me whether I wanted a soup or stir fry. I opted for soup. I felt like my soup bowl came pretty quickly and everything was cooked in the most delicious vegetarian based broth. The broth had so much flavor and complemented all of my veggies, seafood, and meat so well. I loved it. I got a one star spice level and it was perfect for me. If you can’t handle spicy food, let your server know after you’ve put your bowl together so that they know to not add too much red pepper. It's rare to find chicken breast not overly dry so avoid ordering it. They told me they use thigh meat for all their dishes so went with it. “I am Korean and this place is the best Korean restaurant I have visited in Portland/Beaverton area so far. We had Ssam with meat, Hot stone bibimbap and other stuff. We ordered a lot and are the most of it. Everything was good and kids enjoyed a lot as well. I usually cook Korean food at home but would definitely go back with family.“
