“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“

“I love this place. It is one of two places I've found in the Portland area with true authentic Mexican food. I used to go to Sanchez Taqueria all the time until I went to La Fuente. The food here, IMO, tastes much better than Sanchez. I'm not saying Sanchez isn't good. It's great, but I prefer La Fuente. Great food!“

“The iconic jbcs I somehow lost its mojo. There's been a high turnover of staff and I think that's caused some serious issues. Service lately has been lackluster and the food has taken a downturn too. It saddens me to see this happen.

“Um, this was THE BEST food I have had in a long time. I got the Chicken Bulgogi and Orange Chicken combo, and the flavor was POPPIN'. I also order the phad thai but it was too spicey for me so I cannot comment on it! It looked so good that I will be ordering it mild soon. The BLK rice is a nice unique touch, and adding the grilled onions was a perfect flavor addition to the chicken dishes. I will be ordering again... every weekend! A must try in Beaverton!“

“My husband and I went there last night. I’ve been looking for a place that does chicken breast teriyaki. I’ve found it. Their teriyaki sauce is homemade, and it is so good. It has extra flavor. I want to say spice but it’s not spicy my husband got the, sweet-and-sour chicken, and he loved it! I seriously have not had that good of a teriyaki chicken in years!! Thank you Tina.“

“The tamale house has wonderful tamales 10 out of 10. The owner was inviting and friendly. We went for the tamale family meal 12 tamales rice, beans, salsa for 69.00 great value. The tamales were delicious...I will be going back again soon.“

“I've been coming to Tapphoria for a few years now. It's a welcoming spot with a great group of people who tend to be here pretty much every time I show up. Solid beer selection at way better prices than the other taphouses around this area. Service is great and it's a good spot to grab a beer or two and watch a game.“

“This is my second time coming to Mugen Noodle Bar and my experience hasn’t changed. Absolutely LOVE the theme of a ramen bar, the owner is incredibly nice and helpful, plus they just introduced sushi to their menu! (Saturdays only from what I believe.) My BF and I got the curry and shoyu ramen.

I go to papa Murphy’s 1x weekly and my first time at this location and this was an incredible experience !“

Good beef sausage and mozzarella cheese stacked inside of a hand dipped planko honey batter. Yumm. My daughter said she wasn’t hungry but she sure ate the entire thing. “I saw the negative reviews and was dismayed. BUT when we got there and saw the amount of people who were enjoying themselves. This amount of people would not have been and I was heartened by this. First off the service people. When we asked they were prompt. The sushi filled me up. The variety was astounding. I tried most of their different prepared vegetables dishes. Beef dishes as well. My wife ate her fill of various shellfish and other different kinds of seafood. The little dishes of ice cream was a nice touch for desert. It has a bit of everything for everybody.
