“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“

“This place is very unassuming looking from the outside. Right next door to the local post office. It has plenty of off street parking which makes it easy to access. Once we walked in the door we were warmly greeted and offered a table far enough from the front door not to be bothered by the chill in the air outside. The menu is a little different from our typical Mexican restaurants around here. It was a plus and promising to us that there seemed to be a lot of Spanish speaking people coming in for lunch. We came for the crispy tacos which my husband was craving but there were plenty of other dishes that looked enticing. I got crispy empanadas with my choice of a large selection of meats. There were a number of delicious looking soups available as well as menudo on Saturdays and Sundays. The tortillas were hand made. My husband got a tequila flight (which he couldn’t finish) of añejos which he very much enjoyed and the price was right. The service was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit and plan to make this “our” Mexican restaurant from now on.“

“I live right next door to Thai Delicious is both a blessing and a challenge — a blessing because their food is amazing, and a challenge because I keep coming back instead of cooking at home! The Pad Thai hits every time, the curry is smooth and rich, and the staff treat you like family. The place always smells so good it’s practically advertising itself. If you’re anywhere near Tigard and don’t stop by, that’s a missed opportunity for your taste buds.“

“Went to Rovente for the first time last night and OH MY GOODNESS WILL WE BE BACK!!! I'm new to the area and an absolute lover of pizza and this is the best I've found. I ordered a cheese pizza and a custom. We tried the cheese first and were so beyond stoked. If the cheese pizza was that good we couldn't wait to try our custom and oh my goodness I wish I had the words to explain how good it is. The crust is more on the thin side which I loved as it was firm with a bit of crunch but also soft and perfectly chewable. Their sauce was phenomenal, we got regular red on the cheese and spicy red on the other and both were amazing. The cheeses and toppings also were fresh and delicious! I think the gal working the counter was named Kat and I think she mentioned she was a manager, I told her it was my first time in and how excited I was to try you guys. She told me about how Rovente's is family owned and how amazing the owners are which are all things I love to hear as a customer. I also really loved her confidence that I was going to love the pizza and boy was she right! I didn't get the other gal workings name but they really did an incredible job and I will absolutely be a return customer!“

It was so creamy, and comforting; and the small bits of bacon gave it over-the-top goodness. Honestly, all the food at this welcoming pub is worth trying, but I hadn’t expected to enjoy a bowl of soup as much as I did this one!“

“El Sol de Mexico is our family's favorite restaurant. We were saddened when the store in Tualatin closed. The store in Tigard is a longer drive, but the food is worth the drive. “What a great little gem! I love the ability to choose my ingredients and have someone else cook them! You can load up on as many veggies, meat and noodle combinations as you want. There are also a great many different sauces and oils to choose from. Shrimp, chicken, pork, beef and fish! Pick one, pick two, pick them all! The veggies were nicely sliced and fresh.
The restaurant was clean and comfortable and the staff were exceptionally kind. They were helpful, attentive and just plain old sweet! If I am ever in the area, I would certainly come back again!“

“When you enter the first thing you notice are the plants and real wood paneling. There are tiny cast irons up on the wall. The lighting is designed to look like old style gas lamps. The music is definitely the best part of the ambiance. The music ranges from doowop to soul to vintage rock and roll to San Francisco sound and Motown which is precisely my jam. I ordered a plain burger with mayo and fries. I'm weird like that but Miller's was able to able to accommodate my autism. The service was amazing and I'm not just saying that cause I know the waitress. The food was made quickly. Fries were crunchy on the outside soft on the inside as they should be. My Fanta was topped off when I got just under a third. It's clean. Very clean. I know cause I watched an employee pull every single table out to clean the booths. Very pleased with my visit.“

I'm surprised they actually use nice plates and silverware where most other places would just use the traditional Styrofoam to go boxes. If back in Tigard would visit again. “I was so glad to find Red Lobster open on Christmas Day. My partner and I, we had a holiday cocktail and then some really good food. Grilled shrimp for him with hushpuppies, a big Caesar salad and roasted asparagus spears for me. It was just fancy enough and even though they were surprisingly busy our dinners came in a reasonable time and the wait staff was friendly and communicative. We had a wonderful Christmas Day meal!“

“This chain on Pubs, breweries, historical Inns and quirky events are a one of a kind place. 60 plus locations are all unique in character, but you always know you are at a McMenamins by the decor of each is different but with a similar theme. Mostly the same menu as a whole but individual items specifically to that location' menu changes quarterly.
We stopped by here for a passport stamp on our way to the History ball.
Wonderful decor, friendly staff and customers. Warm McMenamins feeling and a happy place. Each location is different. But the good and friendly staff happy customers and a very unique way to have us fans visit there locations from Bend Oregon to Seattle Washington by rewarding us with food, growlers, T-shirts, coaster's and more .
This is the best way to describe their fans are like a Greatful Dead fand but instead of Dead Headd, we are Bed Heads, which are the points you get when you stay in one of their hotels. BTW when you finish the passport you get to be a Cosmic Tripser and get enough Before Head Points for a 3 night stay in their hotels.“

“I ordered breakfast from Biscuits Café through DoorDash, and wow, they absolutely delivered. The portion size alone impressed me. They really loaded up the plate. The hashbrowns were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, exactly how they should be. The corned beef hash was so flavorful I didn’t even need to add any condiments, which says a lot. And the biscuits? Buttery, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Every bite was satisfying. Definitely one of those breakfasts that hits just right.“

“I saw the negative reviews and was dismayed. BUT when we got there and saw the amount of people who were enjoying themselves. This amount of people would not have been and I was heartened by this. First off the service people. When we asked they were prompt. The sushi filled me up. The variety was astounding. I tried most of their different prepared vegetables dishes. Beef dishes as well. My wife ate her fill of various shellfish and other different kinds of seafood. The little dishes of ice cream was a nice touch for desert. It has a bit of everything for everybody. I highly recommend this restaurant. This is our favorite restaurant. Easy to find. Easy to get to. Lots of parking room.“
