“We highly recommend this amazing restaurant. The owners are incredibly friendly and spent time visiting with us. The food was delicious. We had the kalua pork, chicken Katsu with rice and macaroni salad, garlic shrimp, spam musubi, salmon chowder and loco moco. Each dish was very appetizing and reasonably priced. We did purchase desserts which we took for later consumption. The cookies were fresh with perfect soft texture. Two other desserts were also purchased but haven’t been consumed yet. Al, one of the owners, was delightful to visit with. This is a restaurant we will definitely return to.”

This family-owned coffee shop is absolutely fantastic. The service is warm, friendly, and personal — they always remember my order, which makes every visit feel that much more special.

I’ve tried their lunch sack, and the sandwich was delicious, but what really shines are their basket sandwiches — fresh, flavorful, and consistently amazing. And don’t even get me started on the mocha — it's quite delicious and one can't find a better price or quality anywhere.

This place has become a regular stop for me, and every visit reaffirms why. Great food, great coffee, and even better people. Highly recommend!”

“The app does not provide enough options when substituting toppings on the banana splits so we can’t use the app. Today was not their finest, Mom ordered marshmallow, Carmel, and hot fudge on her Banana Split, but there is absolutely no hot fudge on her banana split, and she couldn’t taste the marshmallow at all either, the only thing she could taste was the caramel. There’s suppose to be three toppings, and they only gave us one? That is BS!”

“This is the place for a doughnut, cookie or brownie. Besides having delicious chocolate and maple flavors, the bakery creates amazing flavors like German chocolate, cherry cheesecake and Smores doughnuts just to name a few. You never know what might be in the case the next time you come but you can bet it will be delicious! Just having amazing doughnuts, cookies and brownies isn't enough, the Mermaid has homemade soups! Look for the freezer and pick yourself up some soup. The depth of flavor they have is fabulous. A true comfort on a rainy day! Check Facebook for their daily offerings. Stop by sometime. You'll be glad you did!”

“I was in Newport for a week for work, and this delightful little drive-thru coffee shop was a great way to start each day.

Located near the heart of Newport, this quaint shop offers a variety of coffees, teas, Red Bull drinks, and additional flavors. There are also a handful of breakfast and healthy snacks to purchase. You can order a typical coffee drink or try one of their house specialties with delicious flavors and themes that tie back to Newport and/or the Pacific Northwest. There's something for everyone, and they even have dog treats if you bring your pups to the shop.

I was also happy to know that if you wanted to make the drinks more or less sweet they could accommodate. There are also are sugar free options. And for the sweets lovers, each coffee is topped off with a chocolate covered espresso bean.

The building itself accommodates walk-ups and drive thru. The exterior is a beautiful blue, and the interior looks clean and well kept. The staff is extremely friendly offering suggestions, describing the drinks, and doing everything in their power to ensure you leave a happy customer.

I would come back to Newport for a variety of reasons, but I would definitely come back for this coffee experience.”

“it is ok but for the price you think they would take their time to cook the proteins. the chicken, pork and salmon in my dishes were severely overcooked and the salmon not the best quality it was a bit fishy and old yet they still priced it as if it was fresh. if you are on the Oregon coast you shouldn't skimp on the seafood.”
