“The app does not provide enough options when substituting toppings on the banana splits so we can’t use the app. Today was not their finest, Mom ordered marshmallow, Carmel, and hot fudge on her Banana Split, but there is absolutely no hot fudge on her banana split, and she couldn’t taste the marshmallow at all either, the only thing she could taste was the caramel. There’s suppose to be three toppings, and they only gave us one? That is BS!”

“This is the place for a doughnut, cookie or brownie. Besides having delicious chocolate and maple flavors, the bakery creates amazing flavors like German chocolate, cherry cheesecake and Smores doughnuts just to name a few. You never know what might be in the case the next time you come but you can bet it will be delicious! Just having amazing doughnuts, cookies and brownies isn't enough, the Mermaid has homemade soups! Look for the freezer and pick yourself up some soup. The depth of flavor they have is fabulous. A true comfort on a rainy day! Check Facebook for their daily offerings. Stop by sometime. You'll be glad you did!”

“WOW! We drove out of our way to get your famous cinnamon rolls, and they were dry and stale. My wife had never tried one and I kept bragging how good they were. We bought three that day Feb. 28, 2025. Just lost a faithful customer who drives 30 minutes out of our way.”

“I love you new digs! So much room between tables and a truly accessible bathroom. Great service, just like we are all family! I had the Seafood Cobb Salad and of course the seafood was wonderful, but even better was the fruit! It was exactly ripe! Wow! My companions had the Garlic Linguini, the Clam Linguini, and the Marinara Linguini. I stole bites from my happy companions. Yum! And the homemade honey mustard salad dressing they had was terrific.

And the parking lot is such an improvement over trying to find parking on the Newport Bay Front.

Wheelchair accessibility: Truly accessible,with lots of room, bathroom. Only one handicap spot, but we had no problem getting in from a regular spot. And there was lots of room between tables.”

When we came in there was plenty of seating, amazing treats on display for purchase, seasonal crafted drinks and a menu that had something for everyone! I got the blended matcha and my husband got the seasonal stroopwafel drink. Both drinks were made to order and they took care with our special instructions. Items came out quickly and tasted great! Next time I’ll need to pick up a goodie to try. 1st times the charm here. UltraLife has become one of my go-to places in Newport. Such a gem in the Nye Beach area. Perfect location near the beach, public restrooms and other shopping. Thank you UltraLife for your great menu options other than flat coffees, teas, ect. ❤️So good and friendly staff too!
