“We live 3/4 across the country in Indiana but every time we come to town we always visit the Ale & Cider House. The lady who owns the place and always seems to take care of us and is always very friendly. As for the beers and ciders they are the best we’ve had. Loved the ciders before they filtered them but still taste just as good but without the “look”.😉 A true gem that you must try next time you are in the quaint little town of West Linn. We appreciate the variety of plants in their small (relative to other locations) outdoor area. And we put up a hummingbird feeder that we refill, and they've been appreciative of our efforts. We get to see more of those little cuties now.“

“My biggest criticism is the lack of cleanliness in themed restaurants these days. You put so much effort into decor, and a yearly cleaning would not be too much of a sacrifice for decorum. Bartender was too busy to tend to the tables. Gave a good tip, but while I understand I was underwhelmed.“

“Great local taproom. They play great music on a double record player, and great live music on the weekends. The cider in particular is very good. The food is hot or miss, the pizza is great if a little pricey, the apps and sandwiches are getting better.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not easily accessed by wheelchair that I could see. At least one or 2 steps at every entrance.“

Hubby had the Kolsch. Good stuff. Then a pale ale.

“Loved our visit to pFriem last night. The atmosphere was lively even on a Wednesday night but not too loud. The beer was great, I especially liked the passionfruit hazy. The food was one of the best I've had at a Portland area brewery. We enjoyed the apple bleu cheese salad, the wings and the brat plate. So nice finding a brewery with an in house kitchen that serves more variety than sandwiches or pizza. We will definitely be back.“

“This is our local pub and the default place to grab drinks and dinner after a long week. There's always a great selection of local beers on draft, and the seasonal cocktails are a favorite. I often order the Blue Bayou salad, the Portland dip sandwich, or the Captain Neon burger, always with tots. Sadly the Scooby Snacks are no longer available here, so we'll occasionally travel to McMenamins locations further afield for those.
The staff are always friendly and helpful. If I have one criticism, it's that they often seem understaffed here, with one server to wait all the tables and tend bar. But ultimately it doesn't matter, I'll be going here until I die.“

“We had the Charcuterie. It was good. They had friendly staff, good selection of beer at a fair price, and the facility was big and roomy including the outside seating. We will probably be back to try the pizza. The pizzas seem kind of small for the price they are charging.“

“This is hands down my favorite spot in Portland for pizza and a brew! Their wood-fired pizzas have the perfect crust and just the right sauce-to-cheese ratio. They recently added a great ranch to the menu as well. The atmosphere is super cool — you can even dine inside an old train car — and the staff is always friendly and quick with your order. Can’t recommend this place enough!“
