“I saw the raving reviews so wanted to check this place out. The bahn mi is good bulgogi has good flavor. The meat is pretty chewy though, and I would say the combo definitely is not worth the extra 5 bucks. I'd stick to the sandwich. The service was pretty quick and the lady was very nice. It's a small hole in the wall location. I would however avoid this area after about 5/6pm. This area is home to many people whom reside outside lol. As someone who has been to almost every bahn mi place in Portland I will say comparing to best baguette, bahn mi fresh, and a few other bahn mi places i think killer bahn mi is the best! But it is quite spendy for a bahn mi. You pay for it in the amount of meat they give you but still. If you like this kind of bahn mi I'd recommend also checking out an xuyen bakery. It's this little bakery on like 51st and foster but they have some of the biggest bahn mis I've ever had for 1/2 the price.“
“Make sure you find the menu and check what they are selling for the day. They will usually have 2 kinds of noodles they serve with different broth and topping..What brought me here was, I wanted to come here and try the curry chicken vietnamese pho style, but they only serve that on Fri and Sat..They have family restaurants a total of 3 or 4, but only this location open on Monday..When I walked in around 3, they had 2 options of pho. I chose the pho ga which is chicken noodle soup..Pho broth is savory, clean, comforting, and flavorful. My white friends ? doesn't understand why it is good when I told them. So they watched me eat. And then they finally had a sip of the broth they were like wow. It's good chicken broth and my second favorite I have taste. My all time favorite is still in Sacramento ca, pho anh dao for chicken pho..Price was 16.50 for the pho which is high. The quality of the bowl of soup and noodles really made up for it. During the whole trip I needed something comforting, I was missing my soups and asian eats..Overall it was casual restaurant for a lone eating experience. There is a nice parking lot with free parking. Hope this review helps and let me know what you like or I missed out on while in portland. Thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.“
“Needed something delicious to eat at 8AM, and not fast food. Saw this place was open and decided to try it out.Ordered the #1 special combo Bahn mi and it was so good! Fresh warm bread and fresh ingredients! ? Cant wait to come back for more!“
“I lived in Vietnam for 3 years and as soon as I walked in, it felt like “ home” (I was born there but raised in the states) The sights, sounds and smells brought me back. This unassuming no frills family run humble place only serves 2 soups a day (3 on wed) but does them well. Come early before they run out because even though it says they’re open until 4, they often run out by noon. I’ve been twice. Once on a Friday at noon and was one of the last ones to order the pho ga. On a Wednesday we went at 11am and they only had one out of the 3 soups left. Will plan accordingly next time. Anxious to try their sister establishments. I briefly spoke to Peter and had a lovely chat. He works diligently to accommodate his customers and is consistent with the quality of his food. Well done Peter! ????I’ll be coming back again“
“So glad to have Pho 360 in our neighborhood! Friendly and fast service, nice atmosphere, and good food. Even when they got busy at lunch it wasn't loud in the room. We had the Pho Tofu and salad rolls. Just wished there was chili crisp available on the tables.“
“I have only been the one time, for now. Had to get the classics on my first visit and 3 for 3 killed it!-Beef Combo pho 5/5*rich, delicate, flavorful but subtle. everything I look for in pho. AMAZINGBEST I HAVE EVER HAD-Salad Rolls w/peanut sauce 5/5*obviously made fresh maybe to order. Crisp vegetables, light flavor, slightly chewy wrap. Peanut sauce was on point, not that sweetened garbage some places pass off as peanut sauce. Real deal holifield. PERFECT-Vietnamese Iced Coffee 5/5enough caffine that I am writing this, not to sweet and rich coffee flavor. SO GOODcan not wait to come back to try everything but especially the broken rice.Thank you Yoonique, you will be seeing more of me and meeting my friends and family. Nailed it!!! Yum.“
“It was my first time here and I would be pleased to visit it the next time due to the great service. I got Bun Bo Hue and the broth was tasty. I love the interior decor related to some Vietnamese culture. The staff was quick and friendly. I highly suggest this wonderful restaurant to “
“The staff was very nice. The I got the Spring roll, Dumplings, Fried rice with chicken pork beef and shrimp and, Sesame beef. I loved all the food it was so delicious. I went a few days ago and I am going again today before I go back to CaliforniaI had all of these food in 8 other spots and this was by FAR the best quality, Taste, BEST Service and, GREAT PRICED!!!.every time i come back here I'm making sure to stop there!!!!The shops where I live for everything I got would of been $20 more“
“Absolute perfection. I recently moved from Seattle and have been trying to find the good pho spots here in Portland. Everything about this place is excellent: the service, timeliness, atmosphere, and, my goodness - the pho. The first sip of the broth was like getting a warm hug from the inside out. Wonderful flavors. The large bowl was HUGE and arrived super fast. Perfect level of staff interaction: not too much, not too little. The place was pretty packed when I went, with a super diverse crowd of people which I always consider a good sign. Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to go back.“
“Wonderful service and food. Visiting Portland and this place was highly recommended. The poke bowls are fresh and absolutely delicious. Many choices are available and we've already been here twice! Parking is questionable but so easy to pick up food and go! Looking forward to our next visit.“
“The staff is very friendly. From order to table is fast. Never been disappointed with the food. When they're busy they're super busy and the hassle bustle atmosphere adds passively to the experience (in my opinion). Must try. We will always keep coming back (since 2014)!“
“Heard of this place thru friends and referral but did not get a chance to try their food until today. I’m very happy, impressed, and satisfied with the Special Sausage Egg Combo dish and Peach Tea drink this evening. Really love the generous portion in the box, the meat is so tender and so flavorful and the side veggie, pickle is so fresh. This dish is very common and can be found at any Vietnamese restaurant, but this place is definitely a step above. Recommended!“
“This is my favorite Ph`o place in the area. Their food is really great, the veggies are always super fresh. But it can be a bit difficult to get someone's attention if you have a question or just want more water or tea.Parking: They have a large free parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has disabled parking spaces right in front of the front door.“
“Tiny hole in the wall Viet Bun Bo Hue place. If you don't know what that is, you're looking at the wrong place. The menu is simple. The food is great. The atmosphere is simple. The cost is great. Overall, decent place to come. But not a fancy restaurant by any means, any not a PDX Thai restaurant! Set your expectations correctly.“
“I'm stingy with 5-Stars, this earns more like 4.5, but heck, let's round up.Winner, Winner on taste and price, i.e., value. The first item is usually the most popular and that applies here: the pan fried rice cakes were excellent? The salted fish and chicken fried rice is one of the best versions I've tried. For certain, it's tops in Portland. The complementary tea was above average, while the iced limeade was oh so refreshing.Service was friendly and fast. Prices are more than fair. Ambiance is so-so as it seems like the seating layout could be improved to allow for more customers. Parking can be tough during peak hours. Lastly, they close way too early for an Asian restaurant, especially a popular tone.“
“I'm no expert on Vietnamese food. But I did travel to the country and I really enjoyed the Pho here. Very clean, quiet and great service. The employees are courteous and made me feel good about how I like my order done. We have gone here 4 times now and each time it has been spot on. Thank you for the the Great service and food.“
“Whoa, Vi did not come here to play. This is wild to say but it was the best banh mi that I’ve had here, living in Portland for more than 6 years and originally from the Bay Area. Worth the $.Located in a clean and cute Food Hall that really has it all.“
“Delicious Vietnamese food with lots of menu options. Pho Van is a regular favorite when catching up with a friend who lives nearby. Their duck bamboo pho is so good (I've never had such tender bamboo), highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Plenty of good optionsDietary restrictions: Options for many allergies“
“A hidden gem. Delicious food, peaceful atmosphere with beautiful lighting and plants, wonderful staff and service, and lovely presentation. Reasonable pricing. I'll drive down here again and again to return to this place and I always recommend it!Dietary restrictions: Clear gluten free options and lots of tofu options.“
“Quick In and Out Deli offers items made daily and refrigerated items. No dining in but they do have a high counter if you need to eat it there. I did it this time since I was hungry and on a quick lunch break and because my order, Bánh Bèo (small round and soft rice cake with a good amount of mung bean, dried shrimp paste, and sautéed scallions paired with drinkable homemade fish sauce) was so delicious. Bánh Bèo is one of the staples of Vietnamese street food! Their Bánh Bèo is way better than Phở Kim with flying colors! I'll say 4 out of 5 because the cake should have been a bit thinner. Otherwise, everything that came with it was spot on, tasty, and so yummy! They offer a decent and solid quality of various Vietnamese snacks and street food you can't find elsewhere, such as bánh giò, bánh ít, sesame ball with mung bean, to name a few. There are limited entries with soup and noodles also made to order such as porridge, and fried rice among other things. They cater food as well with reasonable price. I ordered a few months ago a tray of shrimp spring rolls and clear noodle chick stir-fried; they were delicious, cheap, and in good quantity. They do have Bánh Mì made to order. Vietnamese Ham is their specialty; they have various kinds of ham from regular to fried to delicacies such as snail-embedded!Small family-owned! It gives you the feeling of ordering food from your grandma. You have to check it out if you want to see what kind of Vietnamese street food they have!“
“This place is an ABSOLUTE TREASURE!! The banh mi is some of the tastiest I’ve ever had at the best price I’ve ever seen. Phuoc, the nun who runs the cart, speaks very little english but is the sweetest person in the world. She takes her time making each dish one by one and while you’re waiting you can sit or walk around the beautiful temple that the cart is connected to. Whether you’re vegan or not, I highly recommend making this spot a regular visit!!“
“Since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to stop by and try this place out. I am having the Bun Bo Hue dish and a side of salad rolls. The Bun Bo Hue soup is very flavorful and tastes good. All of the different kinds of meat in there were tender and good. The condiments of vegetables that went with the soup were fresh. This dish is worth a try for the people that like authentic dishes.. The soup is not everyone's cup of tea.... Everything in the pork and shrimp salad rolls tasted fresh other than the salad roll wraps could have been soaked in hot water a little bit longer to get it softer. This place is worth a try. They do have other dishes.“
“This is a great late night place to eat. Food always hot fresh and tasty and the service is always good . It's quite but loud at night with karaoke but it just makes the atmosphere fun and definitely a late night after the bar or even a late night food trip“
“Little hole in the wall establishment. Some chairs, but unlikely anyone uses them. One lady behind the counter making the sandwiches and drinks, yelled from the back if I knew my order when I came in. She was working on orders for two other people waiting ahead of me.I ordered a bbq pork bhan mi, a sardine bahn mi, and two thai iced teas for a friend and I. Omg. Very tasty. So much so, when I got to my sandwich I just dove in and didn't bother with my camera. HeheheheheI will go out of my way to head over here for a tasty Bhan Mi.Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian bhan mi. I might try it next time. Looks quite filling. But I was craving a good sardine sammy.“
“This 5/5 review is for Binh Minh's mastery of the plain Banh Mi recipe! If you want to make your own Banh Mi with your chosen fillings or eat them with anything, Binh Minh is your place in PDX! Please do not waste your money and time to get it anywhere else! When you get Binh Minh's to-go bag, it typically comes with five personal-size plain Banh Mi. You can leave them out for up to a week, or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze them as long as you want; reheat them in the air fryer or any oven reheating of your choice, and they still taste like freshly baked, airy, fluffy, and crispy right out of the oven! Fast food, deli-style setting mostly for to-go food. Quick service, small family-owned. They have other pre-made Vietnamese foods you can buy to make your own at home or reheat to eat them at home. Their Banh Mi with filling is okay. Drinks are mediocre. Their Pate/Liver Spread to make your own Banh Mi at home is better than most places in PDX!“
“This hidden gem is the best Vietnamese around! It's a mom-and-pop type operation. The owners are fantastic cooks and go shopping for fresh ingredients daily. I dine-in a couple of times a month and have never been disappointed. Their crab rangoon is made by hand (not frozen/pre made). I love the depth of flavor in the house special noodles. Their Bahn Mi is the best I've had in Oregon (the french bread is absolutely perfect)! Last but not least, the flavors of their Pho broth are so delicate and balanced. Do yourself a favor and try them all.“
“Decent place. Would recommend. Convenient to get banh mi without driving to SE Portland. The bread is really good and the marinade on the meat is tasty. I personally like the grilled chicken over grilled pork only bc the pork had too much fat and tendon to my liking. A little more pickles veggies would be nice. But otherwise, tastes great! (: Their Vietnamese ice coffee is made strong too, which is a plus for a caffeine addict like me.“
“We called in a take out order yesterday and there was some confusion when we picked it up and ended up with one of the wrong entrees. We called them and they were very apologetic. We went back tonight and they comped our entire dinner. That’s great customer service! Bonus that the vermicelli bowls are great too.“
“Bonkers bahn mi and boba beverages beckon you to Best Baguette, one of the best baked bread businesses in PDX. If you're a fan of Vietnamese sandwiches, you know this is the place to be, and if you're not...you will be after trying one!“
“One of the best Banh Xeo dish. The crepes were crispy and not too thick. I like that they did not add mung bean to it. I love bean sprouts & they were generous with it. The sauce was light, not too sweet or salty. Their cafe sua was not as strong but not weak either. It was perfect for the afternoon pick me up.“
“After Watching Netflix show about Portland food cart we wanted to come to Portland to eat. In the Netflix show mama dut was featured as one of the food carts or restaurant. Mama dut served some vegan pork belly. After doing further research mama dut has closed her business due to pandemic. We were sad, but I did some more research and found this wonderful restaurant which serves some good vegan pork belly too..We walked in and ordered the paid, and found a seat to enjoy..Vegan Pork belly - consist of bread, taro, pepper, coconut and fried - it came tossed with some sauce and fried crispy. When I ordered I make sure I told them please make it crispy and add more sauce. The reason is I see mixed reviews about the vegan pork belly can be dry, and not crispy enough, or not enough sauce. The dish was crunchy and flavorful! We asked them to replace the rice and the noodles it come with, we wanted a salad instead. This dish was 14.99.Fried spring rolls - comes with taro, vermecielli, cabbage. It was good and crispy. But the show of food was the vegan pork belly..Overall we sat outside for the nice sunny weather. We had a wonderful experience too. The service was quick and casual. There is a nice parking lot, which was great for no searching around street parking. Hope this review helps. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day ?“
“It appears there is a new ownership.. this is the first time I visited the restaurant since the new ownership. I ordered the take out. It was fast with good service Everything is delicious and not too salty at all. Tasty noodle soups with lots of veggies and meats. Highly recommended!“
“This place is excellent. Super fast service and food to the table. The pho is very flavorful. Even the plain, no meat version is delicious. This is a great place to take your vegan/vegetarian, gluten-free house guests because there's something for everyone, and it tastes really good.“
“The beef in the soup has really good flavor. It's pretty much amazing. Which is unfortunate because it outshines the soup itself. The pho here is decent but wasn't very filling especially since this establishment is on the pricier side for a place with the greasiest menus. It leaves you wanting more which is good sort of. I know I would like to eat more of the food served here but I also like feeling satisfied after eating a bowl of pho. The fried rice that I ordered on the other hand was so crazy good, would recommend it for sure. Definitely will be returning just for the fried rice.“
“The good. First and most importantly, the Pho. The broth is freshly made, hot, flavorful and plentiful. The sheets of beef cooked as expected in the broth, as the noodles softened. Ample amount of meat, bean sprouts, non-Thai Basel, jalapeño slices, and lime. The not as good. The broth was a little greasy. The bowl was a little light on noodles, the to-go container is a bit small and the table was light on napkins, because putting the Togo food in a container was messy. The lady at the counter was super nice, and very attentive of her customers. I thought the restaurant was decorated brightly. The place was clean and well maintained.“
“We’ve been here many times and keep coming back. Today we had beef stew noodles, seafood noodles, and shrimp salad rolls. The beef was tender and flavorful with a hearty broth. The seafood noodles had a little spicy kick and the lime gave a great flavor. They add some crispy pieces to the salad rolls that give a great texture.“
