“The minute you walk in you know this pizzareia is different than others. Chris, the owners offers a warm funny welcome and you immediately feel like you are standing in your best friends kitchen. He told me he makes the “best pizza” and I took the challenge! I wasn’t even there to eat but meet someone in the parking lot. He offered for me to come in afterward and try a free slice. Instead I ordered two pies to take back to Delaware. While they were in the oven Chris was explaining all kind of things about the art of making pizza. Not to put it piping hot in the box or to leave the full pizza boxes on the top of the oven- tricks only someone who really knew their craft would care about. It was such a fun afternoon, and to think I only stopped in to grab a drink and get change. Oh, the pizza… the best! The crust is to die for- crispy and crunchy not doughy like a garlic knot. The sauce tasted authentic, not sweet like you find at our hometown Grottos. Delicious pizza- rivals NYC slices. “The man who worked there was incredibly nice, gave me free samples while I waited and was obviously incredibly proud of what he does. He also was interested in me and what I did and where I was from.

The food itself is incredibly seasoned, very fresh, and some of the crispiest food I’ve ever eaten. It’s like eating homemade food it’s incredibly goo. I also really like that its prices are incredibly affordable.

“Fresh off a doubleheader sweep at the nearby sports complex, our baseball team was riding high—but after two games, we were also starving. Enter Turano’s Pizza & Grill, who came through in the clutch like a grand slam in extra innings!

We called in our order between games—30+ pizzas—for pick-up as soon as the last out was made. When we arrived just after 9 PM, every pie was hot, fresh, and ready to go. That’s Hall of Fame-level service!

The food was amazing, but the atmosphere? Next level. Between the friendly staff, the generous hospitality, and the live music drifting through the air, it felt like we had stepped right into the heart of Italy. We honestly wish we could’ve stayed and soaked it all in—but the bus was calling, and so were the leftovers.

Turano’s didn’t just feed a team—they blessed us. It was a beautiful reminder of what it looks like to serve others with joy (Galatians 5:13). From start to finish, they hit it out of the park.
