“Every time we come to the area, we have to stop to enjoy the delicious food. New York Pizza encapsulates the true New York flavor of pizza. Any pie that you order is absolutely delicious. Our family favorite is the cheesesteak pizza and the grandmas pizza is by far the best around. Garlic knots are a must! They are huge and delicious. Friendly service by all and a great atmosphere.“

“Overall, atmosphere felt cheaper than I-HOP. Food was a OK. I am comparing to I-HOP because I felt like I rather be in that one. I gave 2 star review on service because our server did not do a good job. We were not even offered to get water or coffee. We had to call the server to get water. No coffee with my breakfast, that was BAD.“

“I love the Thursday Jazz jam nights, and the once a month Big Band Monday nights. I especially enjoy the crabcakes with brownie sundae. Typically, paired with a Stella draft. However; I do like trying the specials every now and then. I love spending my evenings, at the Deerhead Inn, when I'm in Poconos.“

“Found this restaurant on line and it definitely lives up to the reviews I read. The food was delicious, the owner spoke with us and we asked for any recommendations of food choice and she advised us well. From our main course to dessert the food was delicious, all homemade. The bread was out if this world! Definitely will be back to visit when I am in the area again!“

“The folks and drinks at Silverback are some of the best you will ever encounter. The Blackback Bourbon is by far the best spirit I have ever had. I try to buy multiple bottles whenever I come in because it sells out so often. If you're going in for a drink, make sure you order one of the Smoked Cocktails.“

“Thank you for a wonderful experience yesterday for my aunt's birthday party which was held there. All of the food was delicious from the appetizers to the main courses. We had a group of about 30 and everyone loved their food and couldn't say enough about the phenomenonal service received as well. Thank you to Cameo and the male server that assisted her as well, both were fabulous!“

“Been eating here for a couple years now at least. HANDS DOWN BEST OXTAILS WITHIN 90 miles! I eat everywhere- Scranton, Wilkes-barre, Stroudsburg, Allentown, NONE COME EVEN CLOSE. I stay in Scranton area and take the 40 min drive for these $35 oxtails RELIGIOUSLY. And they NEVER DISAPPOINT. Portions are great. Food taste amazing. This place is truly a hidden gem 5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD. Blessings!“

The pizza was very good too.The slices are just the right thickness- not paper thin but also not like a deep dish. No soggy bottoms either. It was crispy and crunchy and a good amount of cheese.I would come back here if in the area again.“

“I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Firstly the temperature outside and inside was well balanced and I thought the varnishing of the bar complimented this greatly. Great breakfast, great coffee, and a home-made dessert...the perfect way to enjoy an authentic travel back in time (but sorry, 21st century prices are unavoidable, right?) Have a seat and pretend it's 1958, or 1974, or whenever. You'll get the same great food and friendly service that made these beautiful diners a shining star in the history of the American Story. (And take my advice: try the apple pie)“
