“We drove over 175 miles just to stop at Whispering Pines Farmstand & BBQ in Bird in Hand, and it was absolutely worth it! The setting is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by Lancaster County farmland. We had the half chicken with cheese fries and sides, and everything was cooked perfectly, tender, flavorful, and full of that amazing smoky BBQ taste.
The desserts were delicious, the kind you think about long after you’ve finished eating. The farmstand also has fresh local produce and goodies, all reasonably priced. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and you can really feel the pride and care that goes into everything they do.
Totally worth the drive. Great food, great people, and a true Lancaster County gem!“

“My husband and I were on a small getaway and discovered this treasure. I am an ice cream lover and must tell you that this is hands down the BEST ice cream I ever had. My husband profoundly agrees! He wanted to go again before we left but it wasn’t possible. We’re already trying to plan another trip down just to go to Fox Meadows. Also, the staff was so friendly. The you g woman who waited on us was extremely friendly and provided us samples to try. Since it was our first visit we were also given a free beverage each! We 💯 percent recommend!!!!!“

“I’ve visited the creamery at the farm and in their store. This is the best ice cream I’ve eaten!! I also had a pastry for breakfast. I think was called a rolled pastry or similar. It has several layers of ham and cheese inside a really tasty buttery pastry that looks like a French croissant. It was delicious!!“

“Splits & Giggles is one of our favorite things about living in Lancaster. Delicious ice cream, pleasant and efficient staff, and the lovely outdoor patio. Owner Dave recently brought the ice cream cart to our gathering of family and friends and everyone raved. Thank you Dave and staff!“

“A most enjoyable ice cream experience where you pick the ingredients, toppings, and syrup. The ice cream is made as you watch. They roll it up and place it in the cup and add your toppings.
Fun to watch and delicious to eat. They also have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches that are reasonably priced.
There are also coffee and smoothie options.“

“The updated creamery is so nice! Service was quick, the teens working were so friendly and doing a great job! The vanilla ice cream tastes like real vanilla! The waffle cones are huge and just one scoop is so much ice cream. Good prices, I think it was about $24 for 4 large cones! We appreciated the water available to get a cup of on the back porch on a warm summer night! Great local business!!“

“Ordering online was a breeze and the person that emailed me with the confirmation of my order was very prompt and extremely nice. When I picked up my cake, I waited about 15 to 20 minutes before someone finally came from the back of the store. To be honest, I was thinking about leaving but I’m glad I didn’t because the cake was absolutely amazing! The five stars are definitely because of the cake ⭐️“

“A couple weeks ago I went into River Sweet Treats for the very first time. I visited the Lancaster, Pennsylvania location. I was looking for a valentines gift for somebody special. They didn’t yet have their valentine displays available, but that did not stop them. Nicole was absolutely amazing as she used her creativity to make me a gift basket for my loved one. It was so impressive. She was so beyond kind, as was everyone in the store. It made the entire experience an extra sweet treat not only for me, but my loved one. I highly recommend a visit to their stores, especially the Lancaster location.“

“A great, inexpensive place to take the kids. Delicious ice cream, tons of flavors and scoop options and an insanely cool play area for the kiddos. You can pet and feed goats, rabbits and horses. “Warning! The stickers by the napkins and silverware that look like they’re free ARE NOT FREE. It’s really dumb that they have them there bc you get the impression that you can take these cute little stickers, which I almost did until my eye caught the teeny tiny price list mounted on the wall. They really should reconsider that whole situation. Aside from that the ice cream cake I ordered was a hit and well priced. Waaaay better than DQ!“

“We visited for breakfast this morning. Scrambled eggs, rye toast, raisin toast, bacon, creamed beef, potatoes, and baked oatmeal with apples & raisins. Everything was delicious & every plate/bowl was emptied. We'll be visiting again on our next trip! Highly recommend!“

“We walked into Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers with a group of 32 people, and they handled it amazingly! The staff was fast, accommodating, and so friendly from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was welcoming and upbeat, making it a great place for a big group. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything came out quickly despite our size. The team truly went above and beyond. We will definitely be coming back again and again!“

“The three of us went for a late lunch and even though we had to wait about 20-25 minutes to get a seat, the staff for the most part were really friendly. “This is our normal go to place to order pizza but today was a little special. We had ordered a large pepperoni pizza with the pepperoni in the shape of a number 4 for our daughter's 4th birthday today and a large cheese pizza. Not only did they make the 4 but they also left a little note for her in the box. Then when it was delivered the young man who delivered made sure to wish her a happy birthday. Thank you guys for doing this for her.“

“Ordering food is very easy and quick. I just pulled in, ordered, and my food was out in a couple minutes. I recommend the burger with the bacon on it. Overall, I had a great experience at this Sonic. I recommend the drive-in.

“Zach deserves a raise!! We got into town late at night and were famished, Sonic was one of the only things open, Zach was working and was completely awesome! Plus he makes a killer chilli dog! Thank you Zach for being so amazing and serving delicious food“

“This was something like my 3rd visit. It is an absolute must when coming to Amish Country. Make it a jumping off place for your exploring. The baked goods are amazing, the service is friendly, efficient and well thought out and the ambiance lets you begin to feel that you have really stepped away from your busy, modern life. Great for families, tourists or those who just want a to slow down.“
