“I am closing in on 40 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a small child, some of my earliest memories are family dinners at Da Chen. The staff here are amazing— kind, attentive, helpful, and generous. Their house made duck sauce and crispy fried wonton chips ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do not sleep on them if you only ever order take-out! You receive the crispy wonton chips with any soup order, but you have to ask for their homemade duck sauce on the side (costs like 25¢ iirc)!!! My favorite foods from here are: wonton soup, their complimentary jasmine tea, shrimp toast, beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, general tso’s chicken, pork fried rice, and the bao bao platter (it’s such a fun treat eating this for dine-in). You will always receive the same quality service and food here, and somehow over the years it’s even gotten better! Da Chen is child-friendly and has high chairs available to use, and is wheelchair-accessible straight from the ample free parking lot and into the restaurant. Da Chen accepts cash, debit or credit. “I went about 2 months ago hadn't been there in years for chitterlings.
We ordered a bucket that was $200 it was worth it. The same way I used to just bring them home and cook them a little longer with the seasonings you like. They were clean so I didn't have to do all that hard work. My chitterlings were perfect“

“Prices are a little high but overall the food is pretty good. Lunch special prices are great but outside of that orders can get very expensive very quick if ordering multiple things. Definitely call and order, don't use the online ordering cause the fee is ridiculous, like you could order an entire additional pint of anything on the menu with what you'll save calling in your order. General Tso's is always delicious tho sometimes I wish it was a little crispier. For whatever reason their Lo Mein is pretty bad anymore, used to be great. Food is always ready very fast, even delivery arrives really quick compared to anywhere else we order delivery from.

Instead of expecting a gleaming corporate veneer that glosses over everything, remember that you're basically dealing with a family and all the ups and downs that entails. I usually get sushi from them, But today was the first time i've ever tried a bento box, And let me say they did a great job!! Everything was absolutely delicious! I got the chicken teriyaki with white rice 2 Spring rolls.2 chicken dumplings a 4 piece, California roll and a small salad. It was enough for 2 meals, and again it was spot on! “The best fried rice I have ever had!!! I always order the same thing. I order 4 wings with fried rice add egg. Their rice comes with onion only(no veggies) -which is perfect for me because that's the way I like it. When I tell you that rice is something to talk about, hunnyyyy!!!! I'm not a dry rice eating person AT ALL. I ALWAYS need some type of gravy or the sauce from my beans over ANY rice I eat. Not this rice!! This rice (and wings) is perfect as is. It doesn't need soy, duck, hot sauce, ketchup(wings). All you need is a fork. Seasoned just right. Online ordering can be finnicky if ordering Lunch specials though, the site's clock seems to think it's an hour later than it actually is so you can't submit an order containing lunch specials after 2pm despite them being available until 3pm. You get an error telling you it's after 3pm & that you have to change your order, however calling to order them was no issue.“

“This place is amazing. We got the veggie lo mein, crab rangoons, and general tso’s chicken combo. Every thing tasted absolutely flawless and was cooked to perfection (and boiling hot!) The rangoons are the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Panda Express doesn’t even hold a candle to any of this amazing food. Not to mention, we got basically a soup-bowl-sized serving of sweet & sour sauce without asking. The general tso’s chicken was so crispy and saucy, and rice not overcooked or undercooked but just right. The lo mein was delicious and the veggies clearly cooked well. I have no complaints.

This place is meant for takeout, but the food was so good that it gets 5 stars all around for me even though we didn’t eat there and the inside was small. This business deserves your dollars, and your stomach will thank you!“

Tasted a little bland in flavor... So could have used just a little more sauce... Other than that they tasted alright... The pork fried rice... Was good... You can tell it was actually fresh for once... The chicken lo mein noodles... Were a little sticky... But they were edible and ok... The egg roll I believe may have been stale or refried... Im not sure.. but it tasted like grease... And we just trashed those.. they were no good... The homemade teas were sweet and delicious...I guess I would recommend this spot.. but honestly im not even sure... This may be a hit or miss type of spot... Good luck“

“My brother and I decided that we desired Chinese food after a long morning and afternoon of doing errands on this Friday, February 26th, 2021. This was our last stop and I decided to stop here because I am a regular at Planet Fitness, which is within walking distance. My brother ordered spare ribs, while I ordered a small Wonton soup(My absolute favorite Chinese dish), shrimp and broccoli with brown rice and an egg roll. The gentleman that waited on us, told us that the entree of shrimp and broccoli, the egg roll comes with it. We took it home and ate it. The wait wasn't long and the food was worth the wait. We will be back. My brother and I enjoyed our food. A good experience!!!

Friday, January 2, 2026 - I decided to come here after a wonderful workout at the Edge Fitness Center in Deptford, NJ. I had a taste for Chinese food. It was okay this time. I was disappointed about the brown rice. I asked for brown rice and they gave me white rice with brown sauce. I thought that was taking the easy way out. Also I asked for steamed shrimp with mixed vegetables. I received a lot of broccoli and maybe one carrot and some small mushrooms. There were not enough mixed vegetables. There should have been more mushrooms and carrots., I will check my food the next time that I order Chinese food or any food at all. Also the Won ton soup, which I ordered a quart size, was mostly water and not a lot of won tons. The shrimp egg roll was good. My experience was ok today. However I do not think I will be returning here again. There are a lot of Chinese restaurants to patronize besides this one. Have a good night, workout, be fit and fabulous especially since its a new Year. Good night.“
