“Since new Owner (Linda) has taken over this establishment, it has become my "go to sushi joint"!! Their sushi chefs (John & Yanni) are both amazingly talented and they have created custom sushi rolls for me according to my preferred fish and other ingredients. Presentation is awesome as is the freshness and tasty items they prepare. Linda and her Manager (Cindy) are so welcoming and very attentive to their guests...making everyone feel like a VIP!! Highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Tried takeout today for the first time and everything was delicious. This is more of a takeout place since the vibe is very basic, but there are a few tables for eat-in. I had the Pork Rib noodles and it was a very large portion with fresh bok choy, nicely spiced pork, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Also tried spring rolls and hot and sour soup (standards to see how they compare to other restaurants in the area). Spring rolls had options of chicken or chicken and shrimp, not greasy at all, and very good. Hot and sour soup was hotter than I've had elsewhere and not as thick as usual--i prefer this version. Prices were very good especially given the portion size of the noodles, easily enough for 2 meals. I will definitely be back!“

“We decided to try this restaurant and happy we did. They were so nice and we really enjoyed our food! We tried a variety of food. Crab rangoon, dumplings, sushi, pepper steak and other dishes. So delicious! We will be back for sure. The environment is very soothing and cozy. Give it a try, you’ll be happy you did!!“

“Hunan Palace is take out only. That doesn't bother us at all. This was our first visit. The food here is much better than our former Chinese restaurant. We ordered a variety of items; springrolls, general tso chicken, beef and broccoli, bbq spare ribs, chicken on a stick, vegetable lo mein. We felt the springrolls could have used a little more flavor but that's just our opinion. Every other dish was excellent. Plenty of sauce on all the dishes. The spare ribs were tender and moist not dry or stringy as they can be from other restaurants. Their chicken on a stick is prepared differently than I had ever had it. It had a light coating on it. No dried out, leathery chicken here! We will definitely be making Hunan Palace our regular chinese restaurant.“

“Tried a dozen places since we moved here 8 months ago. This is the first place we found with normal looking fried rice (Brown and white fried with char spots and multi colored) and not the all yellow rice. This was clearly cooked fresh, tastes fresh, will return.“

They don’t have a huge variety of options but it is a smaller place. It’s also located in a good spot, right next to Double Decker and across from 7/11 so people are sure to recognize it“

“I've tried all of the available chinese food options in the gibbstown-paulsboro area and this place is far and above the best of them. The portions are great and the food is always tasty. The prices for all of them were about the same, but this place doesn't charge a really high additional fee for using credit/debit to pay. “I am closing in on 40 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a small child, some of my earliest memories are family dinners at Da Chen. The staff here are amazing— kind, attentive, helpful, and generous. Their house made duck sauce and crispy fried wonton chips ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do not sleep on them if you only ever order take-out! You receive the crispy wonton chips with any soup order, but you have to ask for their homemade duck sauce on the side (costs like 25¢ iirc)!!! My favorite foods from here are: wonton soup, their complimentary jasmine tea, shrimp toast, beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, general tso’s chicken, pork fried rice, and the bao bao platter (it’s such a fun treat eating this for dine-in). You will always receive the same quality service and food here, and somehow over the years it’s even gotten better! Da Chen is child-friendly and has high chairs available to use, and is wheelchair-accessible straight from the ample free parking lot and into the restaurant. Da Chen accepts cash, debit or credit. “Walking in, I thought SuTao was a little small, but they pack a lot into a small package. Two rows of food, trays on both sides, offer a myriad of Chinese favorites. With every buffet, there is a wide variety of quality. The greatest offerings are shrimp toast, chicken fried balls, and purple rice. All the Asian staples are good (white rice, steamed dumplings, lo mein). Some dishes are a little repetitive using the same vegan meat in different sauces. I love trying food, and buffets give me that opportunity. Dessert is sparse, offering less than a handful of finger foods like coconut cookie straws. We were met politely at the door and the service is warm and attentive. A few changes would upgrade Sutao. The price is a little high but vegan Chinese buffets are rare.Not all the food was warm. Some covers might fix that. Overall, it's a rare experience and highly recommend it.“

I don't commonly review because I only go out of my way to do it when warranted. My wife has not been happy with a single Chinese restaurant in the Philadelphia area until we found this one. Where we live, I cross my fingers every time, hoping we're still in their delivery range. I guess some people need their food MSG'd to hell rather than enjoying actual ingredients. If the latter is what you want, this is the place.“

I ordered a small won ton soup, 2 egg rolls and a Happy Family meal to go. I waited for a good amount of time and then they called me with my order. Thank goodness they have a seating area there to wait for your orders. I paid using my debit card and then they said I could have a can of soda. I got ginger ale for my mom and then I left. I wish I could give bonus stars simply for the wonderful woman working the register today (9/1/24, roguhly 1 pm). She was amazingly friendly! While I patiently waited for my meal I noticed every customer who came into here (including myself!) was acknowledged and greeted, she made sure to ask if orders were correct double checking and all, and would always find something to compliment or have that moment of a quick impression/connection and making someone's day that much better. “Prices are a little high but overall the food is pretty good. Lunch special prices are great but outside of that orders can get very expensive very quick if ordering multiple things. Definitely call and order, don't use the online ordering cause the fee is ridiculous, like you could order an entire additional pint of anything on the menu with what you'll save calling in your order. General Tso's is always delicious tho sometimes I wish it was a little crispier. For whatever reason their Lo Mein is pretty bad anymore, used to be great. Food is always ready very fast, even delivery arrives really quick compared to anywhere else we order delivery from.
