Beef Italiano is a nice twist, and regular whiz is great. Everything tastes fresh, well seasoned, good bread that doesn't get too soggy or too dry. Counter staff is lovely, more seating space than expected.

“Great neighborhood deli with the best breakfast sandwiches around. Boccella's does the classic breakfast sandwich right! By classic, I mean the staple [meat], egg, & cheese on a kaiser roll. They have a good ratio of bread-meat-egg with the perfect amount of melty cheese, served hot. I haven't tried their lunch food but I imagine it's just as good!

My only critique is that they sometimes go on vacation and don't update their Google hours, so I get my breakfast sandwich hopes up and then my dreams are shattered when I see the sign on their door.“

“Cheese steaks are consistently on point without adding sauce or anything. Won't go to P.A just for it but will stop by anytime I'm there for it. Also it's a very popular place so I suggest that you order before you go to save you some wait time. They call all the names of the orders that are ready and you can pay there. I had cash but I believe they also accept nfcs like Google and Apple pay. I haven't experienced the ordering line but by the time I got there my food was ready and the checkout process was pretty straightforward.“

“Recently moved to the area so my husband and I are cautiously trying the local take out places. We had a hankering for a good cheesesteak so I went to Google to search for "near me" with good reviews.

“After reading about the real estate and trademark dispute in the law journal recently I decided to drive to Philly and visit the original Jim’s Steak West from 1939 that predates Jim’s South Street. Cool back story and legal wrangling to resuscitate this business. We enjoyed the neighborhood and the business started to fill up as Church let out with everybody in their Sunday best. Ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, Kosher Hoagie and Banana pudding which was all delicious.“

“I had family in from Connecticut. Our plan was to do DiLasandro's but...you can't eat inside and it's a 45 minute wait. We went across the street to Chuby's. We were not disappointed! The cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks were great! And...the fries...the best I've had in a long time...crispy and delicious! If you insist on DiLasandro's...waiting 45 minutes and then going somewhere to eat it...I understand. However, if you want to sit down...and have fries with ZERO wait for a table...(DiLasandro's only has bags of chips) go for it. But...to me...I'd give Chubby's a 4!!!“

“My family and I stopped in to Geo's about a month ago fresh off a plane and hungry for some Philly steaks. The location was perfect for us and family friendly. We ordered some steaks which were enormous and delicious but while we waited Geo personally sampled us some menu favorites on the house. What a great experience. “This place was pretty good. Wide selection of options. When we ordered our food, we could immediately sit down, and it took only five minutes of waiting for our food to be at our table. The food was very hot and very fresh, and tasted like your very first burger.“

“Had a cheesesteak from this restaurant, not once but twice. Both times, it was just as good and fresh. The wait can be long, and that's because they are made to order. The Wiz was spot on, and the staff were amazing. Highly recommend if you're in the airport and want a taste sandwich!“

“The food here is wonderful and the staff (maybe owner?) was super kind. They made sure I didn't get any dairy (allergy).
No seating so that was the only reason for a low atmosphere score.

“Saad’s has one of the best cheesesteaks in the city. Yes, you heard that right. The halal nature of their cooking means they have the finest meats, cheese, and bread. The steak was very flavorful without the greasy mess that a lot of others have. The fries are amazing, too. The place is a little small so getting it to-go is recommended. All-in-all, you can’t go wrong here.“

“I traveled from Atlanta to Union Steaks, and it was worth it! Perfectly located by the Philadelphia United arena, the cheese steaks are among the best in the area. Soft bread, fresh peppers, and onions made every bite delightful. Bonus: the entire menu is Halal! The staff is friendly, and their cheese steak nachos are a must-try. Can't wait to try more next time I'm in town.

They also have a few grocery type items if you need something, I haven’t yet but nice to know it’s there just in case. Workers are all very nice and the food is always made to order. “This little pizza place is adorable in that, the owners have an Old School sweetness & hominess that reminds me of the NJ "pizza places" where I grew up. They are so so warm and kind, which is very hard to find in Philly restaurants! When I arrived, my pie was not quite ready, so I waited outside. 5 minute later, the kind gentleman brought it out to me without even being asked. That really made my day!

I ordered a 10" veggie pie with mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, onion and fresh sliced tomatoes. The crust was delightful, fluffy & dense. The veggies were fresh and thoughtfully placed on the pie giving it great visual appeal. When I bit into it, each bite gave me just the right amount of juiciness. I also liked that the pie wasn't overly salty. The cheese was my least favorite part, but overall, I really enjoyed my respite from cooking and am grateful for Royal being in our neighborhood!“

“Two Brothers Pizza in Flourtown is terrific. The services is very good, the food is amazing and the prices are fair. Whenever the family is getting together, I call and order from their catering menu, plus and pie or two. Always happy with the food, and the people who work there are sooo nice.“

Parking: Lots of street space. Busy street w lots of tow-trucks and salvage yards. Can lark in front of Gourmay and keep an eye on your car if you want.“

“I have been eating Hykel's hoagies for over 60 years and like to consider myself somewhat of an authority on the subject- I just had one today while watching the Eagles game. Pretty incredible to hold it together for that long! Order an American Hoagie- trust me on this - the perfect blend of meats and cheese, lettuce tomatoes and chopped onions, on a Conshy bakery roll. Still the one I compare to when testing any other hoagie . Regarding the score- I go to Hykels for a hoagie, I don't care about the atmosphere or service, not that it's bad, it's just not why someone would go to Hykel's Bar.“

“While in the area, we stumbled upon a pizzeria and decided to stop in for a bite. The driver out front graciously informed us of available indoor seating after we asked, and to our surprise, a staff member promptly cleaned the table for us without us even asking. We were kept in the loop on wait times, and our patience was rewarded with a piping hot, mouthwatering pizza. The sliced sausage was a delightful twist. Something I never had before on a pizza. I will definitely stop back next time I am in the area.“
