“I'm a trucker that walked over here from across the big road getting lumber... Wasn't getting loaded till the next day, parking overnight and was hungry.... Glad I came here cuz the food was amazing.... Got a burger loaded and fries, plus a philly steak for later and a bottle of Sprite.... $22 for everything... Philly smells amazing and can't wait to dig into it later..... I'll definitely be coming back if I'm across the street again... Only open till 2pm though, so don't procrastinate...“

But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“

“Found this place about a month ago, and realized it is my local walk to spot! And they've been around for over 30 years! Could not be happier! Been there twice so far, quick and friendly service. The food, simply amazing! I like grits, but often they're either too runny or too thick...finding those perfect goldilock grits is difficult... Train stops grits are just right! “Recently, was looking for a breakfast spot with grits. The grits were creamy and delicious even after sitting awaiting for me to pick up my food. My main dish was chicken and waffles. Lee's Belgian waffle came with a side of powdered sugar to sprinkle atop your buttered and syrup covered waffles. I savored every sweet, semi- cake bite.“

She’s like an old-time waitress in the best way—friendly, attentive, and she makes you feel truly appreciated. She goes above and beyond and makes the whole place feel like home. “I was just passing by to pick up a script at CVS right down the road. Out of the side of my eye…. I caught notice of a small building. A restaurant? “Shorties?” I’ve never noticed it before. I quickly checked Google, and yes! It is a restuaraunt! How interesting. It’s so small.

Their menu is perfect for a blue collar breakfast/lunch. All sorts of really great breakfast sandwiches, fries, burgers, hot dogs, cheesesteaks. I settled on a chili dog + chili cheese fries. I can EASILY say - these are the best chili cheese fries I’ve ever had - and it’s not particularly close, either. It’s a massive portion, and the fries are super crispy & airy with great flavor. Chili & cheese on top with garnish. Absolutely delicious.

The chili dog was good too. I prefer them over anything else I’ve had locally (not gonna mention the most popular hot dog spot locally).

I believe they may be a black owned business as well. I love to support anyone with a dream & the work ethic to accomplish it.

“I have lived in Havertown my whole life, and I had never been here before. I’m so glad I finally gave it a try. I tend to get the chicken salad when I eat out, and I would rate their chicken salad sandwich a 9+ out of 10! Great flavor and consistency plus the sandwich was packed and overflowing, without being messy. I had to take half home with me. One of the best I’ve ever had! The service was very good, the interior was clean and bright, and prices were on par with most other places. I will definitely be going here again instead of Nudy’s to try some of their other lunch and breakfast items.“

“At first looks the place is a little plain and empty. A few out of service drink coolers , a single rack with chips and cookies, and 2 PA skill machines (which I played while I waited for my food). But the place is very clean and you have an open view of the kitchen which I always appreciate as a customer. Prices were reasonable and the food preparation and presentation were notably good. “Was in the area for work and needed a quick lunch to grab and go and found a place with convenient street parking right in front.

I tried their burger, and it was absolutely delicious! Tbh, I wasn’t expecting much, but the flavors were fantastic. I asked for mayo, ketchup, mustard, and Cheddar!! Of course, it can't compare to a gourmet burger from a fine dining restaurant, but it was surprisingly good and definitely worth the price. If you like your fries extra crispy, I recommend asking for them well-done.
