“Today I stopped at The Hungry A. I have driven buy there many times. As I walked in the owners and people in there all greeted me like they know me. I had a coffee and it was one of the best I ever had. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I will be be back. But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“

“This is a relatively new brunch place in South Philly. Well it says brunch place but it is definitely good for lunch and dinner as well.

I'm getting the same vibe as brunch places back in Indonesia here.

I ordered Nasi Uduk and Kopi Gula Aren. Both stays true to the authentic recipe and portion is generous.

“This has to be one of the most under rated places I've ever been to. Huuuge portions, small prices, and some of the best food. You definitely have to give it a try, I recommend the Pancakes and the Chicken Mei Fun. CASH ONLY but there's an atm across the street if you forget.“

“I love getting breakfast from this local eatery when I don’t feel like cooking. They are so welcoming and the food is always so good. I love the chicken and waffles, a Homefries platter, and their Shrimp and Grits is so good and get extra shrimp if you think the 6 isn’t enough. Sometimes I’m ok with the 6 and sometimes I want a little more. My son loves the breakfast sandwiches and especially on a croissant.“

The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I almost always order the hungry man. It's well worth the starting price of $15.50 (as of this review). With that you get 2 eggs, 2 meats, 2 pancakes, and homefries.
For today, I upgraded to the french toast for $1more.
Everything is seasoned and cooked well. The scrambled eggs today were cooked a little hard but they were still good. The food was ready when I arrived but there was a little confusion so it took a few minutes, and even with my walk home, the food was still hot (maybe 10 minutes after being ready).
The bacon and sausage were cooked to perfection. and the french toast? OMG. The challah bread is perfect choice and whatever was done to give the outside that nice little caramelization was incredible.
